"Hootsuite: An easy to use, helpful software"

What do you like best?

I enjoy how user friendly Hootsuite is. It has many different features but has tutorials to walk you through easy step.

What do you dislike?

I really wish Hootsuite had some scheduling capabilities for Instagram stories.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you have a small amount of pages to manage, this is the platform for you. If needing it for 5+ pages, that’s when complications arise.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Hootsuite helped my company optimize our time with easy scheduling capabilities. Scheduling multiple pages at a time is something FB scheduler doesn’t allow so that was a main benefit.

"Great Social Media Management Platform for a Budget"

What do you like best?

If you're on a budget, then Hootsuite is great for that. The free version gives you the ability to manage more social networks than other big name social media management platforms. The paid version is also more reasonable than others with tons of features. Plus, they're always adding new features. Lots of options, but I like that you can add a lot of networks even on the free version.

What do you dislike?

They have options like other platforms which allow you to schedule posts on a calendar and recycle content, but it's not as good as other platforms. However, they're constantly improving and adding new features, so I expect it to only get better with time.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you're looking for a free or cost effective social media management platform that allows you to add plenty of networks and is packed with features, then Hootsuite is the way to go.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

When I first started with Hootsuite, I was on a very limited budget and just looking for a free solution. Hootsuite gave me the ability to manage multiple accounts for free. Eventually I needed to add more accounts, so I upgraded to the paid version. But they're a great platform to start out with, especially if you're managing multiple social media accounts for yourself or others. I also now use them for a team with a client, which makes it so easy to share and schedule content between myself and the client.

"I have used Hootsuite managing several clients accounts and now using it again. I love it."

What do you like best?

I like how fast the integrations are. It doesn't take forever to connect accounts and post.

What do you dislike?

I think there is a learning curve that is unavoidable. I find I am back and forth a lot reading instructions.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am able to post on multiple social media platforms for more than one company.

"Great, cost-effective social media scheduler"

What do you like best?

Hootsuite is simple, more cost-effective than most social media schedulers, and I love that the calendar allows you to see which media each of your posts is going out to simultaneously. It also allows you to drag and drop posts on your calendar, which makes for easy re-scheduling (as opposed to other programs I've used where you must open each post in order to re-schedule).

What do you dislike?

Occasionally there are outages, especially with Instagram, that can last up to one week. This hasn't happened in over a year, thankfully, so they may have fixed the issue.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Hootsuite has helped make my social media scheduling more efficient. It is much faster and easier to use than Facebook/Instagram's native scheduler.

Bill for an entire year - but great resolution.

I saw many issues about getting billed annually after the trial period, so I wasn't hopeful. I also thought it was going to be monthly billing after the trial. I got into contact with them 30-minutes after an entire annual subscription was taken from my PayPal and have since been refunded by wonderful customer service people on Facebook & Live Chat. Although, I think the standard should be a monthly subscription, I can't say enough about the fast action and friendly help I got afterwards.

"Best solution for social media management"

What do you like best?

It is an ideal software for scheduling and creating posts in advance for various social media platforms. The free plan includes the ability to schedule up to 30 posts is good for beginners to try the software. The calendar feature is great help to figure out the best time to post.

What do you dislike?

There is a limitation for posting from Hootsuite. You are only allowed to post for your company page, you cannot schedule posts for your private profile. There is not an option to publish posts directly to Facebook stories or Instagram stories which is being used more for advertising nowadays.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The Streams tool on Hootsuite is best. We can sort all our posts by categories which helps to analyse the different metrics of the posts. Free basic plan is very useful for small business to get started with very less budget for social media management. It keeps the business well organised and saves time from posting daily to social media.

"Great free social media management tool"

What do you like best?

As I used hootsuite within a small startup with limited ressources, the main benefit of the tool was that we could use it for free as long as you don't want to manage too many accounts with it. It can save you a lot of time managing several channels like facebook, linkedin and instagram by letting you post something on all three platforms simultaneously.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the post editor was a bit buggy, especially tagging people did not always work as it could not find their profiles. Also the emojis need rework as they don't appear on the platforms as they did in the editor.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

You should check the tools functionalities beforehand, e.g. how the posts appear on the channel in the end when being send out by hootsuite.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I used it as a communications manager to manage our social media profiles, e.g. see when we're tagged, answer comments and schedule posts for all channels on one central platform. That saved a lot of time.

"Great for keeping up with multiple social accounts!"

What do you like best?

Hootsuite is awesome for planning out social media posts, and posting automatically. It's great if you run multiple social media accounts for your business. Hootsuite will save you a ton of time when it comes to keeping up with posting on each platform. The moble app is also extremely helpful for when you have to create, edit, or check posts on the go. The analytics is also very useful. You can see all the data for each post in one simple dashboard, which helps you create better content in the future. You can even answer social media messages through Hootsuite, which helps make sure no questions or messages slip through the cracks. Their overall website is also very helpful, as they provide many articles in their "Resources" section, including posts on social marketing, trends, management, and more.

What do you dislike?

This isn't really a Hootsuite issue, but it's more of an issue with Instagram and Facebook. If those social platforms notice that your posts are coming from a 3rd party like Hootsuite or Loomly, the algorithms will "push" your posts down so they don't get as many views or interactions. I'm also not a huge fan of the price, which is the main reason we decided to cancel our Hootsuite subscription. We were paying about $130/month, which was a lot for a social media management platform, especially when you're running a small business. If the price came down a bit, we would love to reinstate our account!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Time and energy! Hootsuite allows us to create posts in advance, and then publish them automatically, which saves us a ton of time on a daily basis. We can keep up with holidays, promotions, campaigns, and allow all of our platforms to look consistent together. I like referring to previous posts in order to make sure we're not duplicating posts on similar topics, making our content stay relevant and interesting.

"Social network administration for interaction with customers."

What do you like best?

We have had no problems using Hootsuite for the management of our company's social network accounts. I like how easy this tool allows us to schedule publications on our different social network profiles and at the same time how easy it is to interact with our followers in the same control panel.

What do you dislike?

It might seem expensive or not, depending on the needs of the company or the user in question.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would definitely recommend Hootsuite for any type of company that wants to impact and keep in constant interaction with the general public through a resource as useful as social networks are today.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

By managing our accounts in various social networks, Hootsuite has helped us in some way to expand our reach and gain new followers because of how easy it is to maintain a long activity and interact with our customers, all comfortably from a friendly control panel.

"Amazing product, super helpful with all of my social media needs"

What do you like best?

Ability to schedule posts in advance.

Ability to manage messages on multiple pages all at once.

I'm able to post to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Recently allowed for posting to instagram stories which is pretty cool.

Useful analytics

Allows me to work collaboratively with the team easier, and provide visibility into what content is going out.

Very user-friendly experience.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the social posts don't publish, although this is infrequent, it does happen from time to time. This is the same with other platforms as well, so I don't blame them.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Definitely consider them. A bit pricier than other platforms, but includes more tools and is easier to manage. They also write great blog posts, to help you with social media marketing.

Been able to reduce the amount of time I spend managing and posting to accounts drastically. Also, we are able to save time by providing everyone visibility into what is happening in our social media channels.
