Started to use this as an alternative…

Started to use this as an alternative to buffer. Well it gave me the all I need and they have a well designed website. Since socialsprout works for me at the minimum level, I can say I am satisfied with their service

We're a multibrand agency and changed our scheduling platform to social, to take advantage of the reports and chatbots. However, the posting capabilities are not fit for purpose and there are four astronomically poor areas that Sprout fails to perform:Firstly, we have 10 social accounts which frequently disconnect and we have to reconnect them to make sure things get posted. If this happens of an evening or weekend, the posts don't go ahead - Not fit for purpose. Secondly, we were told that the scheduling of stories has to be finalised on an app. This is a misrepresentation. By finalised, Sprout Social means there is no scheduling capabilities whatsoever. We need to press send on stories at the time they need to go live. As a 9-5 business, this means we can only publish during office hours - Not fit for purpose. Next issue is that you cannot link any products to the pages. This isn't highlighted and they say API is the reason for this. We had no issue with our previous scheduling platform on this and their API. We now have to manually use Facebook to connect products - Not fit for purpose.Additionally, despite having a rigorous multi-layered sign off process, meaning every schedule post is checked, we have posts being published to different accounts. This causes us significant contractual issues and again is not fit for purpose. In light of the significant failures above, the follow up with Sprout Social has been poor. They are unwilling to do anything and say that this is an API issue, which only applies to Sprout Social and not to other scheduling platforms. We have reported this to Trading Standards and Ofcom, and have had to trigger a legal complaint to get out of a contract which fails at every corner. We haven't even used the chatbot capabilities as yet, because we are too busy trying to firefight our way through the multitude of problems Sprout Social is causing our business.

"Too much for what we needed it for"

What do you like best?

It's great if you're a big organization who needs a lot of monitoring and has a team of more than about 5. I would totally recommend it for an entire digital marketing team. It's great for attributing tasks and scheduling in posts. It has a variety of things in the suite that would really help out a huge team, and I liked the integration for sure.

What do you dislike?

It's just too much for a small team. We didn't need all the bells and whistles and honestly there seems to be no way to opt out. We also didn't love the constant sales calls pressuring us into buying. Thanks but no thanks. We'd get calls and emails and it was way too much pressure when we were trying out options.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's best for big organizations with big teams. We're just not big enough to take advantage of the suite of features. But I really think they're doing great things. It just wasn't for us.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We didn't end up using this program but I liked the editorial calendars a lot. I also liked the ability to monitor everything - the analytics on this program are amazing. I will say they're the best I've seen.

"Great social media tool"

What do you like best?

The tool is easy to use and I like the analytics available. It makes social media management a lot easier

What do you dislike?

The tool is a bit pricey for smaller companies.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It is a great tool, helps social media management and analytics. Easy to use and generates nice looking reports

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Post scheduling and monitoring. Sprout Social makes it easy to generate reports and see what is working on your strategy

"Great Social Media Management Tool"

What do you like best?

Compared to other management tools, Sprout offers the most must-haves that you didn't know you needed. When wanting to change the time a post is supposed to go live, you can drag and drop the post to a different time slot in the calendar. Most other tools require you to go into the post and change the time. This might not seem like much, but when you need to readjust your calendar, this saves you a lot of time. I also love the fact that you can schedule a retweet for Twitter.

What do you dislike?

The UI could be more straightforward and more intuitive. Often, things that you are looking for are buried under a set of menus.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Give it a try. My previous company switched from Sprout to another platform, and some of the features were deeply missed.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It solves most social media management needs. Like I stated for the What I like best section. Being able to schedule a retweet and also having the ability to drag and drop a post to change the time it goes out is great.

"Easy to use and keeps me very organized "

What do you like best?

I like that I am able to post content to several different social media pages in the click of the button. Sprout keeps me organized and saves me time from week to week.

What do you dislike?

It can be on the pricey side for a small company. I also had to reconnect profiles every few months for sometimes things would disconnect.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It has saved me many many hours! I am able to pull reports, create posts, and see my scheduled posts with a quick glance on the calendar.

"My favorite platform for scheduling, monitoring, and analyzing social"

What do you like best?

I started using Sprout Social 3 years ago, and it's improved a lot over time.

What do you dislike?

The integrations occasionally break, and the analytics are different than they are on native social platforms (it's hard to tell which is correct.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Sprout lets us manage all of our social media platforms from one place. It's perfect for a B2B company like ours.

"Scheduling content is super easy"

What do you like best?

It's easy to schedule content and edit for each platform

What do you dislike?

The interface is a little overwhelming and difficult to navigate if you aren't a seasoned pro or are learning it on your own.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

One of the best options out there for social media management and analytics, just be prepared to have to really make an effort to learn how to use it.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Previously I would have to schedule a post on one platform and then have to open up a new post and either type it out or copy paste and make changes for the next scheduled post, but now I can just duplicate or schedule and duplicate all at once which makes it so much easier and less time consuming.

"Easy to use platform"

What do you like best?

Everything is in one place! I like that I can see my calendar, platforms and users in one dashbord.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes is glitchy - can't customize the dashboard.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Content calendar management. Having multiple users on a team manage social media.

"Best Social Media Marketing Tool"

What do you like best?

Sprout provides me with all the features that I need to reach my target audience. It is one of the best tool for social media marketing. One of the functionalities that I like most is the publications which are very easy to program and publish. I also use the statistics to get useful information from my social network activities. With Sprout Social, I can schedule posts in advance and send them at once. I like the fact that I can use links on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. They have a thorough reporting function, and I get daily.

What do you dislike?

One of the things I dislike about Sprout Social is that it is pricey. Therefore it is not ideal for small businesses. However, you can use the free plan, but the features and functions are limited.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Sprout Social is a must for all businesses which uses social media every day. If you want to make your business profitable from your social networks, you should consider Sprout Social. You will be able to send information across different platforms at once.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
