Content Management Leader

Pros: Wordpress allows for you to customize your website and add whatever features you would like. If you need a quick website with great functionality, then Wordpress is great to build and create your site. I use Wordpress personally and professionally and found it purposeful and efficient.

Cons: You can't really create anything really modern and fun. You have to create it elsewhere and then move it in. Also, the options for PayPal payments, social media buttons, printing, etc. are nonexistent and are more accessible in Wix.

Overall: Wordpress allows me to update websites easily and freely without issue.

The user friendly website platform

Pros: I love how straight forward this software is to use. Not to mention the incredible amount of plugins that make this software very valuable. There seems to be a plug-in for anything you need to make your website stand out.

Cons: To be honest, I have not had a bad experience with support or the software itself.

Overall: I would 100% recommend to a small business starting out or a large corporation. No matter your businesses size, this Wordpress platform can grow with your business and change as your needs change.

Good program for our catering company

Pros: I like how easy the website is to manage and change. The designs are nice

Cons: Sometimes the plug ins 'retire' and then you have to redo your whole site.

Overall: We are a small catering company and managing our own site is a necessity.

WordPress as a vehicle

Pros: The ease of use of this product makes it an indispensable tool in my day to day. I create customers panels via a WordPress sheet. The customers interact and my client can easily monitor and participate with them.

Ease of use and transparency are two BIG pros for WordPress.

Cons: WordPress looks and feels a little dated. There are competitors out there that have more modern looks, but not the functionality or ease of use.

Overall: I love it. I enjoy going back to my coding days of yore and type away.

Website for Beginners

Pros: It has many features to play around with but also easy to manage. It has a simple drag and drop function. If you want to get more complex with the program they have HTML where you can code.

Cons: They do not have many templates that I like but I pay for the ones that are nicer. It would be nice to preview in the editing space but you need to go back to home page to see the changes made. If two people are working on it at the same time, you do not see the changes made previously.

Overall: Overall, it is a good system if one person is using at a time. It is a free program that allows for quick and easy website building. I would recommend to anybody in a small business or even students!

Very good website builder for developers and non developers

Pros: Wordpress is great for anyone unfamilliar with web development trying to build a website. It very easy to understand with a simple UI with a very low learning curve.

Cons: The number of features is slightly lacking, and more advanced features have a very sharp learning curve.

Overall: I use this for personal projects because I wanted an easy but effective way to build a portfolio.

Perfect for building websites, with a minimum of coding needed

Pros: I like that WordPress allows people to build and administrate websites without having to spend a huge amount of hours learning html coding e.g. It is easy to implement a theme and build/administrate simple websites with WordPress. The options are endless, because of all the different themes that are possible to implement together with all the plug-ins available.

Cons: With some themes, there will be challenges in building the exact website wanted. Sometimes we have been feeling like hitting a dead end, when it comes to customizing our website. The customizing tools can be made even better, but I know that this is also something that the different theme makers can influence a lot on.

Overall: We have been able to build a simple website for our customers to find the necessary information (text) and to be able to sign up to our school online. We use the formular tool a lot, because this way we can help our customers to sign up and we can view all of the details we requested from them.

WordPress Review

Pros: WordPress is a giant in the web development Industry, with a fantastic reputation to go along with that, I myself have used WordPress to build several websites in the past and still have a few of them running as well. Here's the problem, it's so time-consuming. It' not very user friendly and I often get lost in a virtual loop where I click on something in the menu, land up on the wrong page and have to click back to the menu and do this several times over again before I find the actual solution. It's difficult to use unfortunately. Also a very pricey site unless I choose .org, which is for free, but that is about the only good feature.

Cons: It's very expensive software and hard to use. I feel sorry for beginners that are trying to build a website using WordPress, prepare for long hours of Googling how to articles to try and sift through even the simplest of edit you would like to make on your brand new website.

Overall: My overall experience with WordPress has not been very favorable and in moments of pure fatigue from trying to figure out how to change colors on my site or add or remove blocks, I have opted for alternative websites that offer pre-build websites already created.

Excellent application for website creation

Pros: It's free and gives complete control of your site. Huge collection of extension, add-ons, plugins etc. Very easy to customize your website. there are thousands of template and you can choose from them.

Cons: Although I have mentioned about its advantages, it has some disadvantages too.

The security is the issue. If you are the main user of this website, you need to be responsible for security. Although you have automated some of those features, you need to monitor all the time for any security breaches.

It does not comes with drag and drops binder. It is a time killer for the beginners.
