What do you like best?

Greenhouse is not just an ATS-- it optimizes our Recruiting process. It allows (requires) us to define what "good" looks like at the start of each search by creating a Scorecard. Candidates travel through the interview process we design and are assessed based on that criteria. We include many stakeholders in the process, but the intuitive and user-friendly interface makes it easy for them to capture and document their feedback. Recruiters enjoy and appreciate that same user-friendly interface that easily allows us to document candidate conversations, move candidates between job openings, advance, reject or ask questions/provide updates to the interview team. Calendly integrations make scheduling Recruiter interviews seamless.

What do you dislike?

* The user permissions have become more "clunky" as they adapted them, with the end result being that we've had to increase them across the board more than we otherwise might have.

* The integrations for scheduling via Outlook and Microsoft Teams still result in some manual process for us.

* I wish I could more easily toggle through/between job dashboards. We ultimately purchased an additional tool (Talentwall.io) to improve this visibility of active candidate data and have benefitted from the additional analytics capability it offers.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

* Supports a consistent, fair interview process that ensures all candidates are assessed against the same criteria.

* Easy documentation of interview feedback.

* Real time candidate survey feedback helps us capture any gaps in our process or opportunities for improvement quickly.

What do you like best?

Learning how to use the platform is very intuitive; the ability to go more in depth is there should you choose it, but you can get your job done as a recruiting organization complete even without using every single customizable feature.

What do you dislike?

With new features being added so often, sometimes it's difficult to know where to look to constantly improve and add-on to existing processes and flows.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

A bonus of Greenhouse is its ability to reach far and wide to other recruiting, HR, and general-people operations-related tools. You can integrate Greenhouse with other tools and services your company may already be using, and that way everything your team uses can work symbiotically with each other.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

For us, we need one central place to keep all candidates. Whether they apply to our postings from our website or external sites (like LinkedIn, for example), we want to be able to have a record of every candidate's process with us. We could be using other another ATS, or manually keeping track through spreadsheets, but Greenhouse takes a lot of the work off our plate. The addition of having a knowledgeable, and dedicated, CSM and AM makes it so we always know where to turn to with questions.

An additional benefit came through this year in 2020 with Greenhouse consolidating some of their products into one; adding on the CRM tool to our existing contract has been a huge benefit for what we can do next with the tool.

What do you like best?

I like the interview plan capabilities. It is so nice for the recruiters to be able to create the interview plan within the platform and not have to send interview requests. I also really like the customization of the offer fields and tokens. Greenhouse is a wonderful platform! Our Customer Success Manager, Alex, with GH is also phenomenal to work with. He knows everything and is always willing to help!

What do you dislike?

I think there could be mild improvements to the job board. I would like to see more features and data that Candidates can use to decide which roles to apply to.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Interview plans are my favorite feature. It saves recruiters and coordinators a lot of time. I like the dashboards and the workflow is seamless. Offer letters are extremely easy to generate as well.

What do you like best?

Greenhouse is easy to implement and get new users up to speed. Greenhouse allows us to create a smooth hiring process, from posting an outward facing job description, creating interview kits, collecting team feedback through robust scorecards etc. Greenhouse helps to keep our team accountable while creating a great candidate experience. The ease of use integrating with DocuSign for offers is an added bonus. Approval flow is also a great feature that allows for flexibility on our team while also creating structure.

What do you dislike?

I wish there was a way to directly integrate with Zoom to setup video interviews. It would also be an added bonus to customize the dashboard even moreso; the dashboard is already pretty flexible but it would be nice to be able to save certain reports, show certain approvals etc!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Greenhouse allows us to be collaborative and streamline our hiring process. In a time of remote work, Greenhouse has created ongoing and transparent communication. We are able to use reporting to our advantage to see what practices work and what practices we need to further invest into during our hiring process.

Greenhouse is the best ATS I have worked with. If your company is looking for a new ATS I would suggest considering Greenhouse. It is a seamless process.

Gathering feedback from our interview teams is super easy in Greenhouse. The Scorecards are set up when I create a job posting and it is very easy for the interviewing team to add their feedback.

What do you like best?

Greenhouse is configurable to the needs of your business - and the best part is that it can scale with you whether you're in high growth mode or slowing down. The reporting capability is solid and can be customized to business needs. If built right, there's enough functionality in the platform to provide for varying interview processes enough rigor to maintain consistency for accurate reporting.

Gathering approvals for both requisitions and also offers is very straight forward. With just a little change management and training, it's easy to get executives on board with quick approvals via email or the mobile app.

3rd party integrations are solid. A lot depends on the vendor but there are some very well built integrations in the GH platform.

What do you dislike?

Can't search for C++ (pulls up anything with C - C#, Objective-C, etc.)

Mobile app is useless except for req and offer approvals - can sometimes work for application reviews if there's not too many

Better UI on job and offer approvals - would be nice to see configurable options on the type of position/offer -e.g. exempt and non-exempt roles have different pay (salary vs. hourly) but we have to use the same fields.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With the Greenhouse approval process, we've been able to get better visibility from the various leaders and executives into new positions that are being opened and ensuring alignment on offers from finance, HR, and the business.

Interview feedback tracking is seamless as scorecards are attached to the invitations and are straight forward to complete.

What do you like best?

Greenhouse makes recruiting seamless. I've been a Greenhouse customer for over 5 years and I've never been unhappy. All of the Customer Success Managers I've had over the years have been extremely helpful and willing to answer any of my questions. Reporting and scheduling are some of my favorite things about the platform.

My company briefly switched to another ATS, and we instantly regretted leaving Greenhouse. When we came back a year later, the platform was even better than before. We knew immediately that we had made the right decision to come back to Greenhouse! I would recommend them to anyone!

What do you dislike?

I saw here thinking for about 5 minutes on what I dislike about Greenhouse, and I could honestly say nothing came to mind. I've never had an issue come up regularly that wasn't fixed in a short amount of time. The Customer Support team is very responsive whenever I've had to reach out to them (which is rarely.)

The only thing I can possibly think of is a better integration with LinkedIn Recruiter. Right now we have to export candidates manually from LinkedIn to Greenhouse. It would be great if any candidate you have messaged on LinkedIn, instantly becomes a prospect in Greenhouse CRM.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I highly recommend making sure when you implement the platform to carefully set it up so that your reporting and analytics are accurate. We made this mistake when we first implemented Greenhouse when we were a small company and it ended up really hurting us later on.

When we reimplemented Greenhouse, we took the time to make sure we had appropriate stages across all jobs so we could have accurate data. I also recommend that you do training with all your employees at the company so that there is high adoption across all departments.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With Greenhouse we are able to successfully track our candidates through the our interview process, while also ensuring that we have the necessary recruiting metrics we want to measure.

What do you like best?

Greenhouse is simple to use, has a helpful dashboard with action items and provides insight into our recruiting metrics with many useful reports.

What do you dislike?

I would love to have a user portal so that candidates can track the status of requisitions they have applied to.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Greenhouse to track approval processes for offers and soon we will approve requisitions. Ultimately Greenhouse will be used as a system of record to track all communication with candidates/interviewers/ recruiter to recruiter and HRBP's.

What do you like best?

The ease of reviewing resumes and the flow of moving people from one step to the next.

Scheduling interviews and providing well thought out scorecards right in the meeting invite is so helpful for keeping everything organized and clean.

the flow from interview to offer to onboarding is seamless and easy.

What do you dislike?

when we first get on greenhouse, the permissions section was confusing, and i've still had a hard time understanding exactly what each level should and shouldn't have access to. These have been updated since we first started using the system and are now much more clear.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The training tools that Greenhouse provides are good, but you typically need to recreate smaller, bite sized bits for your users depending on how they will use the system. Once they understand how they are supposed to use the platform, its a breeze!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ability to quickly share information with hiring managers is great, and the documentation from one step to the next is wonderful. you can easily look back and see what was noted and when the communication happened. This leaves little room for losing feedback, letting a candidate go undocumented and or confusion in the communication process.
