"Shopify Review"

What do you like best?

easy to use, its capability of integrating with a lot of apps gives you the chance of running an e-commerce with a small team.

What do you dislike?

You can't update the theme as easy as for example Wocommerce. This makes your website obsolete very fast. We are from Chile and the payment provider do not always accept credit cards from abroad.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Shopify is helping us to sale online all around the world, as I said before the platform is very easy to use.

"Shopify User Review"

What do you like best?

The best part about using Shopify is that it is a managed and hosted platform. Any functionality that you want to use is already available in the Shopify platform itself or the Shopify app store.

Alike the functionality, same thing applies for the layout and looks as well. When you want to change the layout of your eCommerce site, it is really easy. You get abundant free and premium themes that'll easily grab user attention as well as showcase your products really well.

Another good thing about using Shopify for your eCommerce portal is that your business can easily change the layout and color schemes without having to re-enter the products.

This is a really useful feature because down the line when you need to update your site to match up with the current web design standards, you don't have to worry about exporting products, setting up a new theme and then importing products again.

But more than anything, Shopify Support team is really responsive to help whenever you get into any problem or face any query. And as the platform is always trying and experimenting with something new, you can rest assured that your shop is always up to the mark and your online retail business is always ready to generate revenue for you - without having to worry about the security concerns and without facing the technical hassles.

Shopify allows you to do your business & takes care of all the other hassles without bothering you a bit. All the resources at the tip of your hands. That is worth a lot.

Shopify app store is another really great addition of this platform. Not that other platforms don't have it but the variety and abundance of apps available in the Shopify app store beats the market. For any type of functionality that you'd want to add to your site, you can find it in the app store.

What do you dislike?

If you are on a monthly subscription plan, you will still need to pay your subscription even when your business doesn't generate a penny for you. But that's the business model of Shopify. After all, they provide you with all the resources without giving you any hassle, it is worth paying for.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The best way to launch your Shopify based eCommerce is to start with the free trial. You can pass your store URL to your friends and colleagues including your password to ask for feedback. After launching your store, make sure that you use the apps that are absolutely necessary to run your business. Don't hesitate to use the apps as Shopify handles the billing and your app vendors won't be able to snatch extra bucks from you. Run your business comfortably and don't hesitate to contact the Shopify support team.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Problems solved by Shopify:

During the time while setting up: It is really easy to start, simply signup, select your theme and start adding products.

During the time while running business: Anything you want to add you find it in the app store, whether Amazon connection tool or Shipstation, really handy.

"Convenient App"

What do you like best?

The convenience of the application Nothing compares with any other application. For me this app is the best! Also, Overall Shopify’s pricing structure is fairly consistent with key competing products like Bigcommerce, Squarespace and Volusion; the main difference involves the 'Lite' plan really, which whilst not giving you a fully hosted online store, does allow you to make use of many key Shopify features on an another website for a very low monthly fee.

What do you dislike?

The shipping for the drop shipping apps doesn't match

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's definitely an awesome app support specialists are very kind ad supportive. This platform is very different compared to other . platform very easy to use!

Best E-commerce platform

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Shopify is arguably the best e-commerce platform. It has hundreds of payment gateways, integrations, fantastic UI, and is just an excellent platform for an online store.

Pros and Cons

  • Fantastic Support
  • Multi channel integrations
Edit
  • It is more expensive than alternatives like woocomerce.
  • It has its own coding language to learn.

Likelihood to Recommend

Shopify is a fantastic e-commerce site for people who don't want to deal with the technical aspects of running a store and can afford Shopify. It has excellent multi-channel integration, great UI and UX, and an extensive list of features.

The Best E-commerce Platform-biz in a Box

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Shopify is currently used to host our eCommerce store and it fully supports our business. It is used by our whole organization for web design, operations and order fulfillment, shipping, marketing, and product management. Shopify addresses the main issue small and new business owners have when wanting to start an online store. They are supportive every step of the way adding so many apps that make it possible to have variety and automation with every aspect of your businesses. Shopify helps you customize webpages, processes credit card transactions, organizes your orders, and allows you to print shipping labels, track inventory, and use other programs to market and email campaigns to your customers. They have so many tools, apps, and support guides available it was essential to getting my business up and running and now fully operational and thriving. What’s best, I know Shopify will have what I need when my business is ready to take the next step and grow.

Pros and Cons

  • Shopify academy has by far been the best resource in starting a business and excelling at every step necessary to have a profitable business. Shopify Academy offers so many articles, videos, webinars and tools/suggestions that you can truly do everything on your own even if you have no prior experience. This was the single most important factor in deciding to use Shopify versus other online store platforms. They offer the best support and guides for doing everything.
  • The Product management within Shopify is so clear and organized that it makes it really easy to add products to your store with photos, details, SEO search terms and various color options. There is a bulk editor that allows you to select more than one product at a time and update details all at once. Extremely time-consuming to have this bulk editor to change prices, change product names, etc.
Edit
  • Even though the app store has awesome tools, it can slow your website down if you add too many. Be mindful of each tool you add and make sure it’s necessary so you do not ruin the user experience on your site. There’s no point in having a fancy app if the user gets impatient with load time and decides to leave.
  • Shopify has an easy homepage editor that you can use to create your first homepage only. This can have a downside when designing all of your other pages If you do not have experience with HTM or CSS. If you don't, customizing your website will be difficult for you if you plan to design it on your own. Shopify does offer guides to help implement certain features to your pages and change the coding, but if you have no experience doing this is can’t be frustrating trying to design the website of your dreams.

Likelihood to Recommend

Shopify is well suited for dropshipping businesses, small businesses needing guidance on the entire process, and even larger scale businesses since they have more advanced features with other plans. Shopify is the go-to platform for all eCommerce stores, so if you sell products it's a great tool. I highly recommend this over all the others.

"A product with pro feature"

What do you like best?

The thing which I like the most is there are no transaction fees if you are happy to use the built in payment processing system, Shopify Payments. Also, It has a clean, easy-to-use interface.

What do you dislike?

Professional reporting functionality is only provided on more expensive plans is a drawback which I feel is a negative point.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's not easy to export blog posts from Shopify. So I want to make that process easy.

"An easy way to do eCommerce"

What do you like best?

It is an excellent platform, very easy to use, it has allowed us to quickly and effectively create several websites for shops, even if you do not have any experience doing this type of web pages, shopify is a very friendly platform and will help you create the site without having great knowledge in the area

What do you dislike?

The price of the plans that offer more complete content can be a bit high, it also has a lot of apps, which is a great help, but many do not offer a test time or the test time they offer is very limited, so in some cases you must spend money paying apps that you don't know if they are the right ones for your store

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have been able to easily make web pages for clients who already had a physical store but needed an online presence, also of clients that are starting eCommerce and do not have a great experience managing websites, with this platform they have been able to manage their business in a simple way

Ease to navigate seemlessly through the platform

A better modern user interface & the seemless connections using API would be key !

Branded products, no overhead or inventory!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Shopify, combined with Custom Cat and Printful provide our private school system with an advertising avenue not previously afforded. We are now able to offer multiple designs in a multitude of colors, sizes, and styles without the overhead of having inventory. Everyone that orders become a walking, talking, and actionable billboard for the schools with almost no overhead or volunteering.

Pros and Cons

  • Easy templates to provide straight forward, simple to use UI for customers.
  • Works with integrated APPs to allow for 3rd party fulfillment.
Edit
  • Inputting new products can be time consuming because all categories have to be built by hand.
  • Price changes can be time consuming because you can only change by product, not by style.

Likelihood to Recommend

Shopify is great for bigger e-commerce or a company with a small SKU count. I wouldn't recommend it to a company with thousands of SKUs, they should look at a more robust system. Shopify does not provide a robust reporting system and even the less expensive apps don't provide valuable information. However, it fits our small non-profit needs with its price and ease of use.
