Pros: Very easy to create short, custom links that gather analytics. East to create reports and few the use of custom links. Also, great for sending short concise links to anyone.
Cons: Sometimes the link from the last time you shortened it stays on the clipboard and I ended up pasting an old link, but that has only happened a few times.
Pros: easy to use no use to create an account unless you wish to create a name for your link and track it. bitly will auto mark links for amazon ebay and other popular sites.
Cons: there is nothing i dont like its really easy to use
Overall: i use bitly every day to create short links because they look better than a long link and are a lot easier to work with , short links look better and can be named if you wish with an account, shortlinks are great for social media especially when characters are counted. there is a limit on how many short links you can make a day but most people dont hit the limit but if you do you can upgrade for small price
Pros: I like how simple the actual shortening and sharing process is. I use this with a branded short domain so that I can customize all my links. I can remember them easily, and share them from the app easily. It saves me clicks and time.
Cons: You can't delete links once you've made them. You can only hide them. So when using the free version, you only get 500 links with your branded short domain. Because you'd ant delete, that means it's inevitable that you'll hit that 500 mark.
They also don't show you Enterprise pricing, you can only talk to someone about it.
Pros: The one that sets the link that is shortened is the only one that earns money.
Cons: As an occasional user, sometimes I end in sites with bitly links and they just make waste my time so the other earns a few cents, this will probably make loose clients in a serious business.
Pros: The url shortener the offer is great. You're able to do so much with a free account that gives you so much statistics for your business so you know what is working and what is not. The pricing for the paid account isn't bad for what you're getting in return. Bitly is a great service to use 1000%.
Cons: There's nothing i like least about Bitly from experience.
Overall: it helped me know what business strategies i was using was working properly or not which is great! if you need a url shortener use Bitly you will thank me later.
Pros: I like that this resource is free to access and easy to use. I like that custom links can be created, and hits can be tracked.
Cons: Since the links that bitly generates are a random assortment of letters I do have some concern that users may be less likely to click on them thinking it is spam or going to lead to a malicious site.
Overall: When I was managing a social media account and had to stay within a certain character limit I would shorten links with this tool before hootsuite created the shortcut within their platform to do that.
Pros: Its pretty straight forward. Put in your url get a bitly url back
Cons: Nothing. Its straight forward and easy to use
Pros: I use bit.ly to share links, it gives me two features that I want: first it shrinks the url to a more easy to read length. The second is that I get statistics for that URL: I know how many people clicked it, when they did it and more. And if I pay for a premium account I get even more features.
Cons: None that I know of. It does what is says and says what it does.
Overall: Great, super easy to use and understand.
Pros: I post a ton on social media for work and this has made my life so much easier! A lot of our urls are long and take up so much valuable character space. I put the link into the search bar on bitly and I'm immediately given a short url! This helps me stay within characters and it even tracks the analytics!
Cons: I have found that the app doesn't work as well as the website. But it's a really great tool so I don't mind working off of a website rather than an app.
Overall: Great! A must have if you frequently post links on social media.
Pros: This is a fantastic service to shorten urls. It works fast and is very efficient and convenient. It has helped to clean up some longer URLs in my social media. Also bitly has been very helpful in my email marketing experience as longer url links were not being processed properly and were leading to 404 pages rather than the correct destination.
The metrics on usage that they provide are nice as well.
Cons: The main functions of their service is becoming less necessary as different platforms become more efficient at parsing urls and integrating them into materials in a more seamless way. With increasing native tracking capabilities in other programs as well again makes bitly increasingly redundant, but it is a good tool in the toolbox.
