Team Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing Tool
(61 Ratings) Write Review

Slite is a collaborative tool for companies to bring their complete team on the same page while working on projects. It helps team members to share ideas with each other with the help of a collaborative editor. The editor has been designed in a way that helps users to focus more on their writing, taking away the hassle of handling text formatting. At the same time, users can add extra bits of information to their text such as checkboxes, note links, images, attachments, embeds, tables and more. Users can structure the information that has been presented by team members. And through the highlight section, they can discover the most prominent information and track all the latest activities. A powerful search algorithm then makes it easy for every team member to find specific information in every note.

"Slite is easy to use!"

What do you like best?

I love how easy it is to organize my notes through Slite. I enjoy being able to insert tables and images easily without a lot of hassle. I also like all of the channels you an have in Slite. It makes it very easy to navigate what documentation you are looking for, without having to go to like a main page or something similar to find it. It is easy and convenient that everything is all on one page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I don't love that it doesn't integrate easily with the other tools we use, at least it doesn't as far as I know. Since there is not an Excel sort of capability there is no way it could ever replace Google, so it is sometime easier to just use Word docs instead of Slite since everything is in one place. I think if Slite extended their product line up then it would be more attractive to use exclusively instead of just using it for documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are not a Gsuite user then using Slite is a great alternative! You essentially have the same functionality of being able to share notes and documents with other team members, as well as keeping notes and documents private. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It is helping manage our documentation and processes all in one place

It is helping with company updates and product releases

It is nice that everyone has access to shared boards and private boards to use

We also use it to track customer feedback after a big release Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A perfect and different product in many ways."

What do you like best?

Let me start by saying that I'm not a review/comment person and this is one of my very few reviews of my life. This application is amazing.

I loved the simplicity and design. I am a developer myself I and was looking for a very long time for the perfect notes/wiki application.

The multiple nested layering let me group and manage my entire collections of notes and the code snippets are just amazing.

Also, the templates are a great deal if you want to get quickly up & running with a topic.

Unfortunately I do no use the team features with channels and collaboration features but I assume they are aweome. I will not hesitate to use them if I get the change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I know the application is targeted for teams, having channels with notifications, collaboration features and all that but I just use it for myself.

I think it should support a single user version. I've been using most of the big-name applications out there such as Evernote, OneNote, Bear, Apple Notes, Google Keep and I can say that for a developer this is the perfect tool. It has everything I need for my day-to-day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I get to keep my entire collection of notes such as books and courses summaries, code snippets, wikis, personal notes and blog drafts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Nothing at the moment. Looks great and we're enjoying it so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Keeping all the team procedures, knowledge and best practices in one convenient place for everyone to access and contribute. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Collaboration made easy"

What do you like best?

Everything is so simple. You can just work, and not thinking for hours how to do it. In big company, it is almost impossible to find documentation without a gourou telling you specifically where to find it. I have the feeling that this problem won't occur using slite.

What do you dislike?

A lack of features for project managing. It would be great to make gant diagrams, kanban boards, and be able to draw diagrams and graphs using markdown libraries such as marpit and mermaid.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Fall in love with the beaty of markdown

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I can share my work and search for work done easily. This tackle the problem of using a bunch of different tools to manage a project and its documentation.

"Best notes & distraction free writing tool :-)"

What do you like best?

I like the fact that Slite is very nice designed, working with it is a pleasure and it works very good as distraction-free writing tool. It's also nice as notes tool - especially because of the possibility to sync notes between different devices.

It also works very stable and without bugs.

What do you dislike?

Only the fact that notest are stored online and you can't work on them when you are offline

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's a very good tool - it can replace many different, less attractive tools :-)

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

- syncing notes

- distraction-free writing tool

"Useful across departments"

What do you like best?

Slite is a great resource for storing knowledge and also for task management. Our agency uses slite for both. The best part is being able to keep everyone on the same page even in separate departments. Some tasks start in sales, go to us (support), and also have items needed from dev team and design. It is seamless less and we are all on the same page.

What do you dislike?

Only con is lack of options when editing documents.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using slight to build internal knowledge base for new hire training. Also to begin our client support knowledge base that will be for our client users once completed.

"Slite - Documenting processes across different functional areas"

What do you like best?

Slite is focused on an editor / reader for documentation. The hierarchy makes it easy to write, and easy to navigate.

What do you dislike?

Tabular data is not a great fit as things stand, although this is being iterated on. It can also be hard to review image-heavy documentation, although better than in most other solutions I've tried.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's easy to try out, and the proof is in the pudding when it comes to how easy it is for people to use.

For roll out to be effective, you need the team on-board with there being a problem that needs solving, so starting with that problem statement from a retro or otherwise.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Slite allows our team to take notes, and write up thoughts in a way that encourages them to think about how that information is received. For us, it's an optimal balance between easy to write, and easy to read, where Google docs is much more of the former, and powerpoint / slides is much more of the latter.

"Slite is to knowledge sharing what Slack is to team communication"

What do you like best?

Simplicity is key. Rich text editing (markdow, helpers, drag-n-drop, integrations). Collaboration is smooth. Regular feature updates.

What do you dislike?

Notification experience should be enhanced.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Share all the team knowledge. Find a tool on which any team member can painlessly contribute whatever his/her background (dev/sales/ops)
