SharpSpring the Smarter Choice for Enterprise Level Marketing Automation

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We're using SharpSpring throughout our organization in two ways. First, to manage our internal marketing and advertising efforts, including email marketing, customer relationship management, ad management, and campaign analysis and reporting. Our sales efforts are easily attributed to campaigns and we develop key workflows to minimize time spent on redundant tasks. Secondly, we use the platform in connection with our client's marketing and advertising efforts. Having the ability to not only keep all of their sales and marketing on hand, but also empowering them to take control within the platform has been fantastic.

Pros and Cons

  • Manages the entire workflow from sales to marketing to retention.
  • Easily integrates with our current business practices.
  • Gives the ability to analyze every part of a full campaign.
  • Great onboarding team to help make things easy.

  • Mobile app is lacking in functionality and UX.
  • UX of the platform isn't as polished as other platforms.

Likelihood to Recommend

SharpSpring is the perfect solution for marketing agencies looking to scale and grow their brands. It's intuitive and robust. If you're an agency who offers multiple digital marketing services, has clients on retainer or is hoping to close more retainer-based clients, and wants a way to show real results for those clients or your agency stakeholders, this is the perfect solution. If you're currently using an enormous marketing tech stack, like we were, this can really simplify those tools, as well as, allow you to track all of those engagements and touch points.

A perfect example for us is that our team generally manages the sales & execution side of efforts. Having the ability to schedule the first meeting with a prospect, automatically import them into our CRM, view past engagements from that lead, and track their progress through the sales funnel is great. Add the fact that once they're on board, we can email market to them, create dedicated landing pages using dynamic content, and work to up-sell them all within the same platform is amazing.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Sales and marketing are two silos that SharpSpring is bringing it together. Marketing uses SharpSpring to generate leads and qualified leads are handled by sales. The whole process of lead generation is now more efficient. Marketing is forced to check the quality of the leads and sales is forced to handle all leads and give feedback. Now, because marketing and sales are integrated in one system, everything is transparent for both departments.

  • Life-of-the-lead, see how leads engage with you/your brand.
  • CRM task management.
  • Reporting (custom dashboards).
  • Video calling/meetings.

  • Email editor, takes time to understand.
  • Email templates examples, not easy to copy and use.
  • Scoring needs more granularity.

Likelihood to Recommend

In B2B and charities SharpSpring works really well, especially the CRM functions. Pipeline management is easy and task-management is superb. New marketers can work with emails, flows quickly, step by step and pick up other functions later. There are so many functions in SharpSpring that it will take some time to learn them all. For sales the CRM functions are very straight forward, no need for long training sessions. They only have to have some discipline to maintain the database. I doubt that is will work in eCommerce settings.

SharpSpring is being used by our organization to automate our marketing and sales follow-up processes. In addition, we work with our clients to implement SharpSpring effectively, so they also can harness the power of this amazing platform. SharpSpring helps us and our clients solve the problem of manually interacting with potential business leads, tracking our online performance, and helping us determine our direct ROI with our different marketing efforts. It also acts as our CRM to help us keep tabs on our most valuable prospects and existing clients.

Pros and Cons

  • Helps us organize our contact database.
  • Helps us automate processes to help us market ourselves, even when we're asleep.
  • Provides true ROI tracking, so we can prove the marketing efforts that are driving results.
Edit
  • The user interface can be seen as clunky.
  • Some features, like the email builder, are not as refined as other competing products.
  • Would love to see less features done better than more features done not as well.

Likelihood to Recommend

We recommend SharpSpring because it is an incredible value for the price you're paying. Most other automation software has similar features for 5X the cost. SharpSpring brings you the functionality most businesses need at a reasonable price. And they're constantly adding new features regularly, so you don't feel like you're missing anything from other competing platforms.

Everything We Need!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SharpSpring across many departments. The tools it provides helps us with websites, emails, and social media. It gives us the ability to create forms, landing pages, emails, and automated workflows that can take customers down custom journeys. With it's easy to use drag and drop builders, we get to create professional content without knowing code or taking months of training.

Pros and Cons

  • The support is very friendly and usually responds within an hour or two of submitting a support ticket. Their quick responses have been the difference between success and failure when we've faced time-sensitive tasks.
  • SharpSpring is very easy to use and offers dozens of help docs and step-by-step videos.
  • They listen to their customers! SharpSpring even offers feature requests where the community can make recommendations and vote on desired features.
Edit
  • SharpSpring offers the ability to customize styling in many ways. However, I wish they had more options.

Likelihood to Recommend

SharpSpring is excellent for businesses that want the full package for a very competitive price. We love the fact that everything we need for our marketing efforts is in one place and can be automated. SharpSpring may be less appropriate for someone who just wants a tool to send emails alone.

Since making the switch we haven't seen any reduction in capabilities and are finding it much easier to sell to our clients.

SharpSpring is a great tool for making marketing campaigns. SharpSpring has a brilliant training academy where you can become more familiar with the platform. Every employee in our organisation has access to the SharpSpring platform, this software helps us keep track of all our contacts and the conversion we have with them.

Pros and Cons

  • I think the virtual classroom that SharpSpring offers is a great tool because it allows you to become more familiar with the system.
  • I like the Life of the lead because this feature allows you to see all the emails you have sent to a particular contact in a systematic calendar.
  • SharpSpring allows you to track and monitor campaigns this is a great feature because it allows me to see what my audience is getting up to.
Edit
  • It would be helpful if there was a search function in the life of the lead so you could look through emails for a certain word without having to go through every email individually.
  • In the contacts, there is only the ability to add one lead owner. Sometimes we have more than one person working on a contact so it would make it helpful if we could add another person.

Likelihood to Recommend

SharpSpring is great if you are looking to create some marketing campaigns. This is a particularly good piece of software for keeping track of contacts, SharpSpring allows you to keep all your contacts in one place and monitor emails coming in and out this makes it easy for more than one person to work on an account because everyone can monitor the conversations.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SharpSpring for the management of our inbound marketing campaigns as well as for the management of contacts. It is used across the organisation to develop leads as well as nurture those leads to sales-ready opportunities. We use the CRM, forms/emails and workflow features, and additional features, for this purpose.

  • CRM features are vast, yet easy to use.
  • Flexibility in the initial set up, with good support.
  • Campaign creation is made easy.

  • Analytics and reporting are basic.
  • Blogging capabilities are minimal.

Likelihood to Recommend

Should your business require a cost-effective and easy-to-use marketing automation system, where you might not have lots of content initially, SharpSpring would be a good fit. It would also be particularly good should you already have a CMS/functional website where you are looking to improve on your content activities in a more strategic manner.
