Podium is a platform that encompasses customer text messaging, reviews, and insights. With Podium, you have one inbox that can manage all communications and interactions related to your business. Using Podium’s messaging capabilities, you can let them text your business, as well as reply to them via text. You can also receive messages via other channels, such as Google, Webchat, and Facebook. All the messages you receive from the different channels are stored in one place. When you receive a message, you can assign it to an employee to take care of, and they can respond directly from within the central inbox. You can access this messaging inbox on any device from anywhere. You can also use Podium’s messaging capabilities to collect reviews. To do this, all you have to do is to text an invitation to write a review to your customers. You can even automate the process of sending these review invitations out.

Pros: Great service that has allowed us to get many reviews when we found it hard to get them. The service is straightforward and easy to use and customers seem to like it too. They are always updating their website and makes things easier to use. If you want more reviews then use Podium!!!
Cons: I have not found anything that I do not like about this product. The only thing that could be better would be if they could offer a link to yelp.
Pros: Easy to use. Ability to send review invitation links to customers and track those reviews to see who responded. Training and customer support is excellent.
Cons: Doesn't integrate with CarGurus and Auto Trader like some competitors do. Cost is higher than competition.
Pros: Short ramp-up time on learning. Navigation feels familiar and intuitive. The customer support is some of the best in the business. The support is a key factor as we work with multiple locations across many different markets. The individual locations have a ton of stuff going on so it's good to know we have a dedicated support person to contact when the going gets weird!
Cons: There could be more branching scenario type chat functionalities. Lacks that true "ai" feel of a proper chatbot.
Pros: Great tool for managing your company's online reputation.
Cons: Customer support sometimes takes a little longer than I'd like to respond to issues, but they do ultimately resolve them.
I like being able to send 50% of customers from our CRM review requests, and 50% NPS requests. I also like being able to have automatic texts back to NPS responses since I alone man the reputation of a company with over 150,000 customers.
We had a hiccup initially where I thought I was sending Net Promoter Score requests but the system was not. It has since been fixed.
Make sure you set up your automatic replies and fully understand the NPS platform. Also, if several people are using one page, please check the conversations you've controlled or handled to send them to the closed folder. Otherwise you and a teammate can double dip.
None anymore. I'd like to understand if Zapier can convert some of the valuable feedback into Airtable.
Pros: Extremely easy to login to desktop or mobile for individual users and either have a conversation or solicit reviews
Cons: Sometimes redundant if you already have texting capabilities through your crm etc as well as a review solicitation process
Easy to send and customize review invitations.
There does not seem to be an easy way to sort reviews by club, of which we have several. This makes it difficult to sort reviews or search by club.
The benefit has definitely been being able to streamline the review process in addition to monitor which reviews become public. If a bad review comes in, we are able to contact the individual and make the service better
Pros: ease of use, not much else. There service was recommended by my previous manager, but it is not worth the money they charge.
Cons: no support, over promise and under deliver!
Overall: Absolutely would NOT recommend their service. READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING THE CONTRACT. THERE IS 3 MONTHS NOTICE REQUIRED TO BE OUT.
I just want share my experience.
I feel I was mislead to believe by their sales person that they would deliver much more then they did. For 5 months I used the service with a minimal success. There was no follow up from their sales and training people, although they could see the numbers were not impressive. I should of stop the service, but when I finally called them, I was given a run around till I pressed to speak with higher ups. When I asked to stop the service, they did not cooperate and stock to their 3 months required notification to stop the service.
This services did NOT work for my company as described and results were to low at a very high price. BEWARE!
The problem is that once you sign the contract, even if it is in the hallway at the Vegas Market, even if you thought Three-Forty-Five meant $3.45/month not $345/month, they are not letting you out of the contract. Period. There is no 3-month window where you can opt out if it's not for you unless you demand one up front. The messaging features are completely redundant to what we already had on various platforms. And if you want to research Podium, you really can't. There are no reviews allowed on their website. There are no Google reviews allowed. The only reviews you will find are on their FB page. Again, this company is all about MONEY. They want you to sign on the dotted line, and once you do, nothing will change their mind when it comes to the fact that the software is going to do NOTHING to increase business or up the number of reviews. ZERO reviews generated. If it were up to me, I would get all the software off our machines and platforms, change credit cards, and let them sue us. Absolutely nothing. It has been a giant ongoing pain to install. The hours my business partner has spent on the phone installing is ridiculous.

Takes forever to install. The messaging icon is particularly annoying when I bring up our website on my mobile phone. New visitors are assaulted right off the bat with a bubble message exhorting them to write up, which takes up the bottom of the screen. You can't just swipe it off either. To close it, you have to hit the icon, which takes you to a separate page. If this happened to me on a website, I would leave immediately.
Likelihood to recommend: 0/10
Pros: Podium helps monitor and use customer feedback to increase positive reviews and enhance your reputation online.
Cons: It can be hard to read and understand the results and how to improve your reputation -- but once you understand, it's easy to do!
