When I work tool is simple and easy to use.I like the most timesheet tab,calender view and reminder.It is easy to see when and who came in to work.Easy to track attendence.It also allows to see everyone scheduled on the same time.

The organization of the site is very well designed. It is quite easy to see who is working, what shifts are available for pick up, and when your next shift is. It is easy to manipulate the calendar settings to see how many hours you worked in a week or month.
I dislike the fact that when you are on the "my schedule" mode, you can only see your hours in terms of weeks, so you have to go to the team schedule and find your own name to have it set to monthly view. This is an easy fix but could have been easily added to the site.
Use this in conjunction with other scheduling software to have an integrated and accurate system for understanding scheduling.
When I Work has made it exceptionally easy to know when I am working, who I am working with, and is much better to look at than previous websites I've used with similar features.
I can put in my availability as far out as I’d like, as well as unavailability.
It’s a great app and website, but sometimes I have difficulty adding in when I’m unavailable and available on the same day.
The benefit is that I can decide when I’m available to work and when something comes up I can always change my availability. I can also see an accurate time tracking of my time sheet which is nice.
What I like best is that it reminds you of shifts and can add them to your calendar on your phone so you don't miss a shift. I also like that you can see who else is working alongside you and what time so you can plan out carpooling or how the day is going to go. It is very easy to communicate with coworkers on this app.
I don't like how the app looks so plain. It makes the pages sometimes look the same and so navigation through the app can be confusing sometimes, but otherwise fine. Also sometimes the app lags and does update for a long time and can freeze your phone. Or the group conversation will not update and you don't get any recent messages which can be a problem for people reaching out for immediate help.
Make the colors of the app customizable.
I solved swapping shifts and dropping shifts easily and communicating with co workers easy that I don't have the numbers for.
I like how it's basically a one-stop hub for business activities.
I dislike how it often takes forever to load my messages in the chats.

When I Work's web and mobile apps are simple, clean, and easy to use. Schedule management is easy from within the app, and integrates well into both Google and iOS Calendar apps. Clocking in and out, along with the ability to track punch in/out locations, works well.
When I Work could be greatly improved with additional permissions settings. In its current state, it is difficult to manage who can / cannot edit employees schedules and clock in / clock out records. In addition, When I Work's web app will, before a refresh, display the incorrect clocked in / clocked out status, which adds confusion on the employees side if a clock in / clock out was successful.
When I Work has allowed our organization to easily manage Part-Time employee's schedules and time records.
I love being able to just clock in on my phone. It’s so much easier to remember. It also lets you edit it, if you forget to clock in, or out.
I don’t like how it asks you to confirm your shift when a new one is made. Especially how it tells your boss after. Because sometimes I do it around 1am and then it lets her know at 1am.

It allows your boss to add shifts that are far away. We have our schedule out 4 weeks ahead and it is so nice. I also like being able to see everyone else’s schedule so I know who I’m working with and I can see how many hours I’ve worked to the dot.
I can clock in wherever I am at, and it reminds me if I forgot.
The schedule glitches sometimes and ends up on the wrong day.
It’s my favorite software I’ve used as far as clocking in and time management. I’ve used ADP in the past and it was very glitchy.
Saves time on editing time sheets. I can manually edit my schedule as needed and easily verify with notes.
