Interoperability is key for me. Our environment conists of Windows, macOS and Fedora/Ubuntu linux. VNC Connect is literally the only tool we found (and we tried loads) that works seamlessly for connecting to all of our estate. It's difficult to overstate how good that is for Linux workstations in partciular.
It's fast, too. It connects near instantly, can authenticate using a Windows domain or local Windows, macOS or Linux user and has all the options we needed for notifying users when we're connected/disconnected.
I challenge anyone to find a better standalone remote support tool.
When initially setting up on Linux, guidance around requirements was a little light / hard to find. If you're planning to use it on Linux, you'll need to disable Wayland (easily googled) before connectivity works.
Remote support, training and on-boarding in our new remote-first world.
Vnc Connect is one of the best corporate level remote access applications perfect system administrators, IT experts and engineers integrated, its internal remote connections work very well, visually it is very attractive and its images have a great definition, its interface is simple and very easy to learn, it has support for multiple platforms, file transfer using Vnc Connect is really fast and secure, it has the option of remote printing last also has very cheap subscription plans, including a free plan for personal use.
Vnc Connect still has a lot to improve for example the separate server and viewer applications make the configuration really complicated, it has strange behaviors when I try to connect from a laptop with IOS operating system to one with Windows, I would like to be able to view more screens on a single server, you can't drag and drop files from the viewer application and the desktop without first making a transfer it would be amazing to solve this with an upgrade.
I would like to recommend this application for small businesses trying to scale up as it allows them to operate a remote access application for a low cost and provides great functionality if you are looking to prepare conferences and maintain control of the presentation easily from the comfort of your home, the product is extremely reliable and may be the best application to solve any type of problem in your company.
The staff of my organization has used Vnc Connect as remote support because we have many computers and sometimes we must rely on the solution of both internal and external problems and this application has been really helpful to keep us connected, has also been very useful to train staff and has allowed us to give workshops and organize conferences as we use to control the audiovisual material remotely finally also in the area of accounting has been very helpful in solving a lot of problems.
VNC Connect is a well-established web-based remote access platform perfect for working from home. The connection is fast and very stable in addition to having a simple and visually appealing interface on it you can share screens, files, record sessions and make a remote printing also has a very comfortable and sophisticated real-time chat, has very affordable subscription plans that offer remote controls for both personal and business meetings and you can use it in different operating systems such as IPhone and android.
The remote support does not have diagnostic tools, when you try to drag a file to transfer it between the display application and the desktop throws an error I would like them to accommodate this problem, the configuration of the application on phones can be tedious, does not have an option to view multiple screens on a single server would be quite useful to integrate this option and the remote desktop does not have a troubleshooter.
I would definitely recommend VNC Connect as a remote support tool because as a user I find it very easy to use and has many really useful tools in addition to that all plans have an excellent price perfect for companies who do not want to spend more and want a program that really works I can also recommend it for video conferencing and file transfer.
The use that we give VNC Connect in my department is to facilitate our work at a distance and to solve problems that require access to different pc without the need to be in person since this application allows us to connect to multiple computers and operate them easily in real time, we also use it as an alternative to transfer files quickly between colleagues and use the remote printing tool that is quite efficient.
VNC Connect is a remote solution at the corporate level based on the cloud that is responsible for interconnecting through multiple computers remotely to communicate or video conference with great ease because VNC Connect has system administrators, IT experts, integrated engineers, loT, integrated service providers, with high capacity for response in your remote system, is extremely useful because it is composed and directed to many types of organizations in various countries and that this system comes with different languages such as English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
One of the main things that plays against VNC Connect is that to have total access in a progressive way is to have a highly fast internet since without that the remote system tends to be a little tedious the handling of the documentation, also that it lacks a share or transference of files in a simple way as it is drag and drop between the application and the desktop complicating a little the exchange of important documentation, another thing is that the between the viewer and the server are in a separate way making the handling of it confusing.
Of the main recommendations that our company could object to VNC Connect is to improve its ability to transfer files remotely without so many encrypted systems and a simplicity of loading via the Internet without having to resort to a higher speed, otherwise provide an excellent service solution remotely maintaining communication and working without having to attend the office to the entire team.
VNC Connect came to our company and at the time of each worker to facilitate the work in the midst of this pandemic as it has both commercial and personal use as it provides a multilingual support service with an encrypted session security for all administrators based on AES encryption up to 256 bits, rich service permissions, SSO and also remote access to Linux administrators, thus enriching our system work remotely giving us greater range of communication and file transfer
I was looking for a long time for something that would be simple to set up and use and would not cost a fortune. My client needed help with his computer and every time something went wrong, he was paying $100 to get a tech to come out and show him things. Now I can log in and show him how to fix his computer or just do it myself.
Initially, my only issue was that I couldn't connect to my computers if they had shut off. I needed a way to wake them. I solved this by just leaving my computer on and having only the monitor shut down.
This is a great solution for distance management or IT support.
I've been able to offer 24/7 IT support. It's been a great way to avoid costly visits from outside vendors - especially those that don't understand MAC computers.
Cross-platform support and mobile apps. All of my remote management solutions in one place, regardless of the OS or device. Also the trust in RealVNC as a secure solution. Security for remote access is crucial and there are some very unsavory platforms out there.
Limited plan options but not a deal breaker. The available plans are either too limited or too big for my small business needs. I could use a few more accounts but not enough to step up to the next tier. I’ve found ways to make it work since I am the primary admin. The pricing is very fair and I would seriously consider the next level, I just simply don’t need that many licenses now.
Always able to access any of my servers or workstations. Can control powerful render systems from my phone at the park. Able to pull up projects for clients and even modify them from any location. Also always have access to any files or data in any particular location. Reduces the amount of storage I need on portable devices. I don’t have to plan what to bring to client or pitch meetings. Everything I need is always available.
The fact it works nearly every time even on a very slow connection
Okay maybe the pricing model per computer
Simply just download it and try it yourself to see how good it is
Remote management of computers and also technical support
VNC is easy to use and to install. It's fast and reliable. Worth every penny. I would recommand without hesitation. Truly a joy to use. It took us a while to find a solution that worked for our set-up but once we found VNC, it was a great choice.
It would be great if cost was lower. Because of cost, you have to use it strategically. If you do not think through properly about your intended use, the upfront costs can be high. However, with proper planning, we were able to mitigate our costs by using the software in the right ressources. We are hoping to recoup our costs quickly.
It really depends on your intented use. For us, the key issue was to enable remote access to a couple of virtual machines to employees in a manner that was easy for them to install on their end. We tried a couple of solutions but VNC was the one with the fastest connection and response time once connected. It was also the most reliable in term of connection. The ability to choose the level of the software needed is good.
We use it for remote access to resources for occasional workers and subcontractors. It made the life of our team easier to use virtual machines. It will also help lower our IT costs in the long run. Using VNC and virtual machines actually facilitated our security set-up for remote workers.
VNC Connect is very reliable. Being able to stay connected even when rebooting the remote machine is also an amazing advantage.
I miss not being able to copy and paste from my machine to clients' machines, but I understand why the limitation is place.
We use VNC Connect to set up software for our clients, and to provide continued support throughout our partnership.
We love the price! Works great with all of our computers and remote devices.
There really is nothing to dislike about this!
We are able to work at home or in the field with any type of device.
