For me, the thing I like best is making use of the email address finder and the blacklist. Normally that's where our issues arise, and SendGrid makes it really easy to hunt down the messages and the email addresses I need to ensure proper delivery.
I have no substantive issues with SendGrid at all. I could stand a bit less in terms of the number of options on the side, but that is probably because my use case is rather more limited.
Take some time to play around with the options just so you know how they flow. Initially it's a bit overwhelming, as there are just so many buttons, but you find what you need and it gets to be a simple process and you can do what you need in a heartbeat.
Normally, I'm trying to see if someone did actually get an email and it's just in their spam folder, or if there's an issue within our own network that's causing a no-send issue. Other times I've had to go in to unblock an email address.
SendGrid is the worst email provider. They suspended my account without refunding me and without letting me know what is the rules I am being violating.
Didn't allow me to open an account, probably because of country blocks. That's super unprofessional, can definitely not recommend.
So I opted for a free account and set 3 ones up for my clients. Sure, they on average send like 10 mails a day so not big spenders. After a couple of days I noticed I couldnt log into either of the 3 accounts anymore.... I reached out to their support:Thanks for reaching out. SendGrid leverages many different vetting techniques and as such we've determined that you're not a good fit for our platform. Because of this, we will not be able to activate your account. Our system does not provide myself or other members of Support with details regarding decisions made in the sign-up process. As such we are not able to provide any more information to you.I apologize for this inconvenience.
I tested Sendgrid with a free account today but the few messages I tried to send were all returned as undeliverable because Sendgrid's IPs are blocked by Microsoft - Outlook/Hotmail etc.So it's useless as half the world uses Microsoft or Gmail.
Easy to use and great prices. Sometimes I find the menu and sections confusing. Some concepts I did not understand is not well explained.
The integration of the Wordpress plug-in, this tool is considerably useful with the automatic sending of email when one goes through the moments of promoting new prices, products, emergence of networks, to customers more often often request our services, is quite easy to configure, and to perceive when there is an error in the mail by which it has not been sent to a customer.
It would need to improve its search functions, a little simpler the handling that we must make for the control of the application would be nice, functions that are present in Gmail, such as important and prominent emails would also improve the experience to be able to make a difference between emails that receive massively more responses than another, because with time to be updating the emails, no matter how good it is a mail will always require changes to be updated as trends are advancing, it will be difficult to look for the oldest emails that had received responses.
Starting with email marketing campaigns, will be a good way to start distributing better the services they will offer, bearing in mind that it takes some time to prepare the content of that email depending on who it is aimed at, as not everyone will have the same needs.
We have reached an optimal level of sending email campaigns, the responses we received increased considerably, making the number of customers also rise, with this we stop focusing unnecessary details in emails until they have made contact to go into more detail with the services they were looking for. A solution of time invested in a large amount of mail.
I have been using Sendgrid with my company for over than 3 years now. We use this tool for both Marketing Campaign and Transactional emails and until now it has provided all the values we needed and it has also been a good investment to pay. The available plans are cheap and companies of all sizes can find their own plan to work with. It is easy to use even if you do not have any coding experience.
I tried Sendgrid several days. What I noticed first was that I got a lot of emails back that could not be delivered. Many error messages from other smtp servers saying that Sendgrid's IP's were blocked for sending spam. I used Sendgrid to send back automated replies to emails I received myself. So no unsolicited email, just replies to messages that people were sending to me. After a couple of days I could not login to my account anymore. After spending a lot of time on their website trying to find a way to contact them I was finally able to send them a message. I got a reply back saying that I was banned for violating their TOS. I checked that online but really could not even find a single indication about what I did wrong. I asked for clarification, but they never replied back to me.I would say AVOID AVOID. Unreliable email delivery, difficult to contact and lousy customer service.
