One of the biggest things about this program that I absolutely love is the fact that you are only charged for what you used. That alone makes Amazon SES great in my book because I know that I am only paying for the features that I have used over the period of time. It's also very flexible in connecting to various other software/programs etc.
It can be a bit tricky to figure out how to use the backend for those who are not tech-savvy. As a result, I think that might be something that they can try to improve a little bit. But other than that I'd say it's pretty impressive.
I use it in tangent with another program that allows me to send thousands of emails through my Gmail account. It makes it easy, simple, effective and an overall no-brainer to get those emails out daily. I don't have to worry about delivery or bounce either, which is something I can't say for plenty other similar services.
Love how the notifications in the emails come in real time.
i do not dislike anything about this product.
i am solving the problem of being able to stay informed about my amazon account.
- Simple & Easy to setup email service
- Integration with other AWS Service like SNS
- Pay Per Use
- Scalable as required
- For sending email in Production, Need to contact amazon team. No automated verification available for it
Quick & Easy Email integration
No need setup own SMTP server
It is easy to set up and it is highly scalable and cost-effective service for sending and receiving email.you pay only for what you use.
SMTP and it’s policy and limitation is disadvantage.
It ishighly scalable and cost-effective service for sending and receiving email, and easy to set up.
Amazon SES, Quick Start section and sending mail problem i have solved. It is easy to set up.
You cannot choose SES and not mention the price. It's just its best feature. Deliverability at its best.
It has extremely strict rules. After years using it, my account was closed because they assumed it was spam. Turns out I was sending email for my own forum and the long emails from their support failed to see that.
Be very aware of the rules and do not break them. They do not forgive.
I needed deliverability and cheap price. To simply put it, there is no another company that can compete with Amazon SES in that field.
You can send e-mails both using an API or through the creation of SMTP credentials for integration with systems that wouldn't support a better way of doing so
The lack of an easy way to manage e-mail feedback. Bounces are only sent as an SNS notification that you have to handle and correlate to the message sent on your own.
It is great and easy if you are already running in AWS. If you require responses and a tight control of bounces/errors, then it may not be right for you though.
It allows for a well-defined and easily integrated e-mail sending from our systems without having to deal with the administration of our own e-mail system, its associated risks and spam filters.
I like its wide range of programming language support. It has publicly available libraries and help documents to implement the code. It also provides console to test the email service.
Its support team takes time to reply the email. Timezone could be the reason.
It is reliable, cheap, and easy to implement. It is a good option for transnational email go for it.
We use a web form to be field by people around the world it has to be delivered to the list of email based on the content selection. It is really easy to implement the library and execute the code. It works smoothly. It is lowering our cost for email service.
This software is very easy to set up. It is also very cheap as it offers up to 62,000 emails per month for apps hosted within amazon. It is very efficient and allows you to easily track usage.
It is not available in all AWS regions such as Frankfurt.
Definitely the best email service in the market at almost no cost.
We have been able to send mass emails confidently without worry of emails going to the spam section.
It eliminates the need to manage mail servers which is the bane of the class sysadmin's existence.
Sometimes it seems like the rate limiting is not accurate and mail can be delayed/throttled for 24 hours or longer.
Ensure that you have most of your mailing lists configured properly and that you are not on any blacklists currently before switching. Ensure that the default ratelimits are sufficient based on your volume.
We were managing a large fleet of mail servers and had full-time security administrators managing blacklist removals/etc. SES helps free up these resources to do more important things with their time.
It’s so easy to get up and running. Setting up the SMTP stuff is quick and simple.
Visibility was kind of limited. Knowing what was going on with emails and such.
Emailing account verifications and other system based alerts
