Is Nextal a Canadian ATS?

Yes. Nextal is an applicant tracking system (ATS) built in Montréal since 2017 and hosted in Québec. It is available in English and French, posts your jobs to Indeed, Jobillico and Google for Jobs, and is designed for SMBs, retailers and recruitment agencies.

Where is the data hosted?

In Canada, in Québec: servers in Beauharnois, database in Montréal and AI processing in Québec City. Nextal is built to help organisations meet Québec's Law 25.

Can we post our jobs to Indeed and Jobillico?

Yes, on every plan. You create your job once in Nextal; it is posted to Indeed, Jobillico, Google for Jobs and your career site, and every application lands in the same place.

Does Nextal integrate with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?

Yes, with the Pro and Enterprise plans: sign in with your Microsoft 365 or Google account and sync your email and calendar to schedule interviews.

Is Nextal a good fit for recruitment agencies?

Yes. On top of the ATS, the optional CRM ($25 per user per month, Pro and Enterprise plans) lets you manage clients, contacts and job orders in the same platform as your candidates.

How much does Nextal cost, and is there a free trial?

Essential is $79 and Pro is $99 per user per month billed annually ($99 and $119 billed monthly), in Canadian dollars; Enterprise is on request. A one-time setup fee covers data migration and training. There is no free trial; instead we offer a one-hour live demo with your own hiring scenarios.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

It's your choice. Annual billing is a 12-month commitment at the best price: $79 (Essential) or $99 (Pro) per user per month. Monthly billing has no commitment, at $99 (Essential) or $119 (Pro) per user per month.

What does the setup fee include?

A one-time fee of $500 (Essential) or $1,000 (Pro), on request for Enterprise. It covers setting up your account and career site, integrating the career site with your website, 4 to 6 one-hour online training sessions, connecting Indeed (and Microsoft 365 depending on your plan), migrating the data from your current ATS, and a review after the first month and after 6 months.

Can you migrate the data from my current ATS?

Yes. You can bulk-import candidates, jobs, clients and contacts yourself from an Excel or CSV file, including résumés, which the parser reads automatically. Or our team migrates your current ATS (candidates, résumés, jobs, clients, history) into Nextal; this is included in the setup fee.

How long does it take to get started?

With the Essential plan, one day is enough and no work is needed from your IT team. With the Pro and Enterprise plans, expect 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your IT team's availability for the integrations (Microsoft 365, website, data migration).

Is support available in French?

Yes. Our Montréal team provides bilingual support in French and English, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time on Québec business days. Essential includes email support; Pro and Enterprise add chat. Demos, training and follow-ups are done by online video call.

What AI features does Nextal include?

AI parses résumés to fill in candidate profiles automatically, and recommends the best candidates for each job by matching their profiles to the job. AI processing runs in Québec City.

Does Nextal help with Québec's Law 25?

Nextal is built to help you meet your Law 25 obligations: Nextal has a designated privacy officer ([email protected]), candidate records and résumés are hosted in Québec, each user only sees what their permissions allow, and you can permanently delete a candidate's record on request. Compliance remains your organisation's responsibility; Nextal acts as your service provider.

Who owns my data?

You do, from the start to the end of your contract. Only the users you authorise can access it. It is never sold, never shared with third parties except what is strictly needed to run the service (such as delivering your emails and text messages), and never used to train AI models.

Can I get my data back if I switch platforms?

Yes, at no cost. All your data is returned in CSV or JSON format. One month before your contract ends you get a partial extract to prepare the migration, and the week before it ends a full export is available for 30 days; your data is then permanently deleted.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time. Downgrades take effect when your subscription renews.

Does Nextal have an API?

Yes. The public API for integration partners is documented at https://developer.nextal.com.

Does Nextal work on mobile?

Yes. Nextal is a cloud (SaaS) web application that works in any modern browser, including on phones and tablets.
