What do you like best?
Standard set of colours and formats reduces decision paralysis. Constant grid alignment is great. Collaboration mode makes it easy to share.
The autosave feature works very well; even when I get logged out or my comp crashes I havent lost work yet.
What do you dislike?
The new solid colour formats have different coloured borders, which wrecks the continuous flat design of some of my diagrams.
There are still cursor bugs when you have multiple lines of text within a box, which is frustrating.
Performance still gets really bad when there are large amounts of text in one diagram, even though its less text than a single page in a word doc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Creately is best suited to many smaller diagrams rather than single large ones. Creation speed is a big value add.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I primarily use creately to communicate complex flow charts or matrices of info. I also use it for quick reference guides and for some visual goal tracking. My team uses it a lot to communicate timelines and milestones in projects.
