What do you like best?
The flexibility of having to run the app from within the web, without necessarily having to install the windows app, comes in very handy, as most our remote users, do not have admin rights to install any app on the computers, making it very user friendly.
What do you dislike?
Thee fact that if you do not have the Office 365 license which includes Teams, you can only attend a collaboration on the web, and cannot use the Windows App, and for many of our users who already had the app installed, it was a challenge, as some would opt to open the app, instead of running the meeting within the browser, and as such, experienced challenges which initially we could not troubleshoot remotely. I think much as in one doesn't have to sign in on the web, equally, the app should allow the same, unless if one needs to establish the meeting..
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are an educational institution and looking for a product for both collaboration and remote teaching during this time of uncertainty as a result of Covid-19, this is a great product to go for.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
During the COVID-19 lockdown, this application came in very handy to collaborate and have meetings with colleagues from their respective homes and places, including those with confirmed positive cases and on quarantine. In addition to remote meetings, some of our academic staff had the flexibility to use Team for remote leaning, in addition to Blackboard Collaborate, as not everyone is familiar with the complex processes within BB Collaborate, so many of our Academics chose Ms Teams for smaller classes and person to person supervision.
