"Excellent communication tool"

What do you like best?

MS Teams is one of best communication tools for usage in IT areas. Its really nice tool having features of teams meeting with peers.I liked the iphone App also for Teams ,gives me flexibility to join anytime ,anywhere. The voice quality is excellent over the calls.Even for slow internet ,it works fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The only negative thing is that sometimes teams hang when you are in a meeting and sharing your screen. It hangs up for some 1-2 mins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Easy to join from anytime and anywhere using MS Teams app on iphone7.This gives me flexibility to join meetings easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Communication and collaboration made easy"

What do you like best?

The meetings are best part about Teams. The audio and video quality are quite good even with a moderate Internet connection. Also, the background effects feature which lets a user change their background, irrespective of what it is actually, is a great feature. Also, meetings can be recorded and seen later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There is no chat specific search feature in Teams which I miss a lot. Suppose I am chatting with person A and there are thousands of chat messages exchanged between us. Now if I want to search for messages which contained a particular word or phrase, that is not possible at the chat level. There is a global search available where I can still do such kind of search, but it would display the results from all the chats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are organizing team meetings using Microsoft Teams and using it for one to one instant messaging as well. It becomes very important in such a time of pandemic when the work is being done remotely and communication tools become very important. Teams has served as the backbone of our Work From Home. "Microsoft Teams exceeded my expectations during COVID crisis"

What do you like best?

Is really easy to:

- Add contacts by a single search

- Start 1:1 conversations with just one click

- Start group conversations

- Setup meetings from a chat window

- Share your screen at anytime. You can also share control of your screen for support purposes.

- Enable video support with no lag. Also you can add custom backgrounds or simple blur your background.

- Record sessions and share them at the end of the session

- Transcript session with text search support

- Make group calls with one single click from an ongoing chat

- Add support files to conversations. These files will be present at any moment and are associated to the conversation and not to a single user

- Do all the above with a mobile phone. You can also make or receive calls as any other normal call.

- Manage Office 365 documents. You are able to view, edit or submit documents inside Microsoft Teams.

In resume, with Microsoft Teams you really have a mobile office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Perhaps the navigation on the latest version. Right now, is les intuitive the navgation between chats and contacts. Personally, I was confused at the beginning and some users are still confused and they usually forget how to navigate between these functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

There's an online guided tour that shows the key features. Also, there is a free version that is also good but, mainly you may try to get references from current users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Mainly, we solved communication and collaboration issues. I may say that the homeoffice with Microsoft Teams is straight forward. You have integration everywhere. Your mobile phone is finally a mobile office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft Teams: Academic Studies"

What do you like best?

An amazing solution for organizing online classes with multiple features that enable efficient learning without compromising on the benefits of physical classroom teaching. A beautiful and user-friendly interface. Instead of creating invite links or meeting ids and passwords for every meeting, you can simply create a group with authorized participants, and then, its as easy as managing a Facebook group. It also has a whiteboard feature that allows the professor to enhance their teaching and also in creating live notes. The entire lecture can be easily recorded and is available for downloaded. Several unique and useful features include live chat box, audio-video mute, file sharing, assignment creation, calendar, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Getting added to a group can sometimes be difficult. Also, multiple authorizations might be required to get added to a group or a meeting (however, if you manage things well in the first run itself, you may not encounter these problems and things may go pretty easy). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Microsoft Teams is the best software I have used to date for the purpose of academic classes. It has some unique features like a whiteboard, formation of groups for a particular course that makes it easy to join a meeting without the requirement of links for every class, meeting recording and sharing the recording, inbuilt calendar, activity log and personalized feed, etc. apart from the typical ones offered by other such software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The very basic problem that is being solved is nothing but organizing academic classes online owing to the new norms imposed by the COVID 19 pandemic. Several benefits include: Group online meetings with live chat and live discussions, whiteboards, meeting recording, file sharing, assignments allotment, the formation of groups for a particular course similar to the creation of Facebook groups for a particular purpose/ audience, easy to use, availability of a mobile app, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft Team - The Ideal Media of Communication"

What do you like best?

Communication and collaboration platform which combines workplace chats, video conference, file sharing. audio communication etc. During COVID-19, Microsoft Teams has acted as a blessing by making Work From Home more efficient and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

When the screen is shared with any other user, the user at receiver end cannot fit the window to full screen which makes user to zoom out a part of the screen for a better visibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Less time consuming as it integrates both audio connectivity and screen sharing. Best video and audio quality. If you are offline in teams and someone has sent you a message, it will trigger a mail to your outlook mail ID stating that a user is trying to reach you which makes it more reliable. As its integrated with Microsoft Outlook, status will be changed as per your calendar in Outlook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

During COVID-19 pandemic, Microsoft team has been very efficient in communicating with all the team members and stakeholders in the organization. When a user shares his/her screen, automatically audio will also be connected which saves time, as we need not try to call separately. Old chats are preserved unless the user manually deletes all the chats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
