"Microsoft teams is Great"

What do you like best?

What i really like about Microsoft teams is that they constantly update the software so you can have multiple changes. This includes having different background function, either blurring the background or adding in your own content that you can create.

Another new function I just found was the stadium style view. This allows you to see everyone who has their camera on in a movie theater style setting. This can allow for some fun team building games and being able to see everyone in a fun new setting, rather than just them at their desk. The quality of the calls are 98% clear and I have rarely been booted off a call due to and Microsoft teams malfunction.

I also like the fact that you can login from multiple devices at the same time while talking with others.

Having the options to have files is great because then the whole group can go and update their information in real time. This makes sharing documents with each other very easy.

What do you dislike?

One of the downfalls with Teams is that it operates a little different on Mac's. It seems that the updates don't come across as fast as the do on pc's. As in I do not have the stadium view on my Mac but I do have it on my PC. The call quality is also better on my PC as compared to my Mac. I do think some of that has to do with my Mac being a little older than my PC though. Overall I do not have a lot of bad things to say about Microsoft teams.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This is a great tool to use for working remotely. It can help you streamline your business and connect with those not just inside you business but outside as well. Having the ability to share documents with each other is great. The ease you will get from just one click logging on will make it easier to connect with you staff and colleagues. Having the option to turn on and off the sounds is great as well. This then allows you to mute yourself while others are talking and not have any background noise.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Having the Files option is great. This way when we share our documents daily it is easier for us all to jump on and enter our information. It updates almost always in real time and this makes it seamless to see what the results were for the day. Plus you can then take said file and extract it from Teams and load it into an email to the group with ease.

"Microsoft Teams Review"

What do you like best?

We like Teams a lot. We've been using it since the COVID-19 pandemic started when we all started working from home. It started as a good way to communication with each other while working from home. Later, we used it in-house remote virtual training sessions, virtual project review meetings with each other and with clients.

What do you dislike?

The only thing I dislike about Teams so far is in the beginning it was tricky to sign in to the software and stay signed in. The office IT administrator set everything up and I just couldn't sign in to the software with the login information that he used. He and I had to tinker around with it for me to be able to finally sign in. This is probably the fault of our IT guy and not the software.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have trained the other people in my office in how to use Revit over 8 video sessions through Microsoft Teams that we recorded and saved on our network. We communicate with each other with the instant messenger and have virtual group meetings.

"Microsoft teams is easy!"

What do you like best?

Microsoft Teams is an easier program to use than Zoom. My company utilizes many video conferencing softwares however Microsoft Teams has been the most user friendly for our staff. Its not as complicated and pretty self explanitory. I like how I can see my coworkers and it feels like we are back in the office. It has created a sense of normalcy for my teammates and I am glad we can use this software to be "together"

What do you dislike?

There arent many customizations like you would get with zoom or other video conferencing soft wares. That is the only thing I can say about Microsoft teams that isnt my favorite. I wish there were more options to customize feautures.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It is very user friendly. I highly recommend.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

In todays world, since most of us are working from home microsoft teams has made it easier for us to have video conferencing which makes it feel like we are in the office together. it brings a sense of normalcy that we have been deprived of since the Covid 19 pandemic began.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Best application for chatting and instant messages, also meeting with all teams member.

With teams, not any problem, but benefits are many more like chatting and calling also file sharing is the best option.

"It just works!"

What do you like best?

Quick access to team mates, or in my case users. Easy to use replacement to GoToMeeting for us. I've used it as a remote connection agent to by having the person I'm attempting to help share their desktop.

What do you dislike?

I really wish the installer was machine wide, but the deployable MSI will stage the install so it can install whenever a new user signs in. You still end up with multiple installs on a shared machine, but at least I can apply the install and be sure that Teams will be up and running when a new user signs in.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Teams subscription is included with MS Office 365. Also you can use it with a license for free for one year, after which time you will need to purchase a license.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am senior support at our firm, and have used teams with great success when supporting remote users. It provides a network agnostic connection to allow me to quickly troubleshoot and solve issues.

"Using Microsoft Teams for Collaborations and Remote Teaching"

What do you like best?

The flexibility of having to run the app from within the web, without necessarily having to install the windows app, comes in very handy, as most our remote users, do not have admin rights to install any app on the computers, making it very user friendly.

What do you dislike?

Thee fact that if you do not have the Office 365 license which includes Teams, you can only attend a collaboration on the web, and cannot use the Windows App, and for many of our users who already had the app installed, it was a challenge, as some would opt to open the app, instead of running the meeting within the browser, and as such, experienced challenges which initially we could not troubleshoot remotely. I think much as in one doesn't have to sign in on the web, equally, the app should allow the same, unless if one needs to establish the meeting..

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are an educational institution and looking for a product for both collaboration and remote teaching during this time of uncertainty as a result of Covid-19, this is a great product to go for.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

During the COVID-19 lockdown, this application came in very handy to collaborate and have meetings with colleagues from their respective homes and places, including those with confirmed positive cases and on quarantine. In addition to remote meetings, some of our academic staff had the flexibility to use Team for remote leaning, in addition to Blackboard Collaborate, as not everyone is familiar with the complex processes within BB Collaborate, so many of our Academics chose Ms Teams for smaller classes and person to person supervision.

"Great platform with good Office integration"

What do you like best?

It is easy to use and a light client. It is very easy to share and collaborate on Microsoft Office files (Excel, PowerPoint).

What do you dislike?

It can be a bit pesty if you are trying to concentrate on something with all the chatter. Teams of people need to set expectations for when they need to be logged in. It's important to allow workers some time to be heads down without Teams interrupting them.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Come up with some ground rules at your organization for how people are expected to be logged in and available and to have people set themselves to away when they are away.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Collaboration, presence and meetings are all better with Teams. Able to work with colleagues across the globe. It also works pretty well over varying connection speeds.

Must have for an organization, packed with everything one needs in a video conferencing application.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
