However, carrying a bag with an ethernet hub, cables, external microphone and making sure that Mac adapters work with speakers' computers is not my favorite part. My recommendation is to add technical complexity slowly and involve office help desk.
Spend time on understanding of integration possibilities with your CRM and integrate fully. Increase technical complexity slowly; a video webinar might be very attractive, but it takes some initial office setup (beyond On24 platform) and practice.
We are running webinars on On24, which allow us not only generate "influenced" pipeline, but also easily generate "hand raisers" and send this information to sales together with a robust view of prospects activity to prioritize response.
When our organization was compiling its 2020 season of events, no one thought about a virtual component. In the rush of the transition with Covid-19 - On24 was a life saver. We were able to quickly pivot many of our educational events for members across our state online with a platform that was easy to use for all end users - no software to install, in troubleshooting why the viewer's webcam was not working - it just worked quickly, easily and seamlessly for the user.
I would love to be able to copy content between various events - sometimes we have a common set of slides or run the event more than once - but these are very fixable features.
This has challenged us to redefine engagement - and question the efficacy of our programs. We have decided that some of our in person events will now become exclusively virtual - causing us to see a net savings in the travel and entertainment costs that we held to host these nearly free to attendee events.
I love how easy it is to create a professional looking webcast in a short amount of time. All of the tools that are built in to the ON24 product make it easy to jump right in and create beautiful webcast.
I also like how easy it is to arrange and organize your presentation in Elite Studio when using multiple PowerPoint Decks and videos.
Another great feature while hosting webcasts, is that there is no live attendee audio. They can only listed in and interact via the Q&A widget. This cuts down on the distractions and interruptions from people not putting themselves on mute during the presentation.
I wish there was an easier way to edit your video after the presentation has been recorded. It would be nice to be able to edit or re-record a certain section if there was a mistake, or an update.
I also wish there was a "listen only" dial in option for attendees. We occasionally run issues with attendees not being able to properly hear everything using their computer, so having the option to have them dial-in and listen in would be beneficial.
We have turned to ON24 for all of our internal training's and communications. It is such a great tool for these channels, and we find it much easier to facilitate questions through the Q&A widget than over the phone.
Very smooth experience -- replay with full functionality is amazing.
I want options for breakout rooms and face-to-face interactions with other attendees for networking. Even if it were a limited-seats, paid event.

I really like the easy to use platform that is easy to understand and provides a great platform for internal staff understanding of the tools and resources while providing a sophisticated look to our clients. Webinars are easy to setup and easy to operate from the moderator, presenter, and attendee perspectives. Pulling data post-webinar is easy and provides a well-rounded view. I love that I can download the webinar recording as an Mp4 file and am able to share it with colleagues, share it to our internal Sharepoint site for all company staff, able to send it digitally to other users, and am able to upload to upload it to our Youtube channel. I love that we are able to customize our own landing page, logos, graphics, artwork, and registration page and don't have to utilize a 3rd party in order to do everything ourselves. We have a great relationship with the On24 team and get regular checkins from them about how we are doing, some of our webinar analytics, clicks, etc. and feel as though we have a strong vendor relationship while maintaining flexibility and ownership of all of our own material. We don't have to worry about waiting for someone to upload content or not being able to do something on our own. We can self-moderate our webinars so that it really feels as though it it own our software and get to interact directly with our clients. I love using the express monitoring feature to have an On24 technician on the line to assist clients with troubleshooting any technical difficulties and ensuring our staff are good to go prior to the start of the webcast so that we don't have to worry about assisting staff and clients and can really focus on the content of our webcast.
There are some things I wish would be easier to view in the post-webinar analytics. It would be great if I could export an overall report of all attendees with fields on which webinar they attended that can be exported to excel would be great. There are some times where I have to pull multiple reports to get all of the data that I need. I also wish I could customize the integration to Salesforce using the fields that we utilize in our CRM from On24 without duplicating contacts and data.
I really recommend reaching out to On24 staff to set up a time to look at how easy this platform is to use. It does take staff time to set up, operate, moderate, and pull post-webcast data, but it is very much worth the time and the effort as long as you have the resources to do so. There is so much that you don't have to do on your own, but there is still some work that you have to do. Make sure you have the time and the resources, but if you're deciding between vendors, On24 really is the way to go.
There are a lot of benefits in using the On24 platform. I am able to pull some great data post-webinar. I like the unique attendee report so as to not duplicate contacts and can share some great attendee data with our stakeholders. I'm hopeful that I can try and resolve minor data analytics questions with On24.
It has awesome integration features with our CRM systems that are invaluable. We also have total control over the look, feel and experience of our events. It's easy to use and with exception of a 2 larger issues of over 100 broadcasts, it's been very reliable.
Presenter log-in options - one link to log into an event whether you're producing, presenting or running Q&A. I need that broken up so I don't have to worry about anyone logging in incorrectly. Also, the Q&A helpers should be able to call in and hear/see the live presentation, just not be incorporated as a broadcast feed. This is kind of big for me and should be fixable with future releases.
They have a few tools, research all of them and figure out what you really need, what you are doing and what you wish you can do. Also, how they can integrate with your current systems.
We can pivot to a tailored virtual experience in a week flat when trying to recreate what was a live event. The on-demand period has also become vital. Most of all, our system integrations saves HOURS of time a week as many manual processes I've been living with for the better part of 8 years have gone away.
It is the most measurable webinar platform I've ever used. The ability for attendees to engage with your webinar after it is live is fantastic as well. Plus, you can match your branding beyond just your logo!

If you want to ratchet up your webinars and make your company look like pro's, ON24 is for you. Its worth the additional investment. A prime example of you get what you pay for.
