"Makes bookkeeping easy for novices and keeps experience accountants happy"

What do you like best?

Overall experience is good. It allows me to better understand both my booking and my scalability. It also allows me to create custom analysis. It makes billing and payment of exemptions very easy and is great for keeping track of money coming in / out and keeping an eye on invoices due for payment. Payroll is included( you can file it with HMRC via FreeAgent or let your financial adviser do it separately.

What do you dislike?

Exporting information is a bit tricky in some other areas- you can get a pdf out very easily but an xls or csv would be much more useful( you can export the entire company dataset only as a csv, but not distilled key elements such as unpaid expenses or balances even within individual accounts. In some cases you can get round it by cutting and pasting. It is also one of the most expensive cloud accounting software packages out there.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I wanted to recommend this product to my colleagues but it's just a little bit too expensive for a startup small sole trader companies.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Saved us a good chunk of time and helped us keep clear and easy records for my accountant. We have since moved on to a more robust software but the cost was definitely a factor.

"Does more than we need"

What do you like best?

I needed a simple inventory management system and this met the requirements

What do you dislike?

It does significantly more than we need so we are not using much of its capabilities.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Our business problem was very "small" and isolated but Officewise fit our needs very well. It has much broader capabilities than we are using so our experiences may be less reflective of a more general implementation.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have 100 items of inventory that need a way place orders and track inventory levels. This software meets the needs of our nonprofit and is easy to use.
