What are the best aspects of this product?

We have been using Lightspeed for 2+ years now. We are thoroughly maximizing the integral components relative to our industry. Currently, we have incorporated the E-Commerce component to achieve higher sales and exposure within our community.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Sometimes we come across little issues that we feel could be improved. When we do, we submit our ideas to Support.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

We would like to see analytics either including in our contract or at a lower fee. We believe this is a very important component to any business in any industry to help guide us to a more successful year, each and every year going forward.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We made inventory a lot easier and quicker, our sales transactions are streamlined and with E-Commerce we are able to increase our sales and exposure within our community.

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Lightspeed has made things easy by allowing us to choose which features and add-ons we implement. As the company has grown, we have taken advantage of more and more of their integrations. The ROI for this product has been excellent since many tasks are automated and need only a simple daily, weekly or monthly reconciliation. We currently use the POS, eCommerce, Accounting & Analytics functions and have integrated Quickbooks and Shipstation to directly communicate with Lightspeed. The data we are able to capture allows us to effectively plan and budget and the growing number of vendors who are integrating their inventory with Lightspeed means we are able to pull pricing and SKU data right from the system instead of manually entering it. There's constant development going on and the open API means we can create custom programs if we wish. The Customer service has always been helpful and is available 24/7 which is incredibly convenient for large off-hours projects.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There are still a few workarounds that we are using, but Lightspeed has an open forum where ideas for improvements are able to be posted. Many of these have come to fruition so I'm sure there will be fixes for the workarounds we're currently using in the coming months.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

A better backordering system for Purchase Orders as well as the possibility for auto-billing. We are currently using a workaround, but with a couple small changes these would be easily solved.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We are able to easily process transactions remotely (tradeshows, private showings, etc) since the system is available through any internet connected device, whereas before we only had access through a local server.

What are the best aspects of this product?

Lightspeed provides me with the means to have a POS, track inventory, track employee hours, run reports, and more all from anywhere with an internet connection.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The only downfall is the price, but I still wouldn't pick any other POS software.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

Currently (2021) they do not have a customer wishlist that is shareable with friends and family. This would be a huge help in selling online.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

tracking employee hours, creating store specific bar codes, ecom, inventory tracking.

What are the best aspects of this product?

Lightspeed is simple to use and easy to train. It completely connects with our Lightspeed eCom shop so all of in our store inventory is completely connected with our website. Lightspeed is also cloud based so I am able to work from my phone or laptop anywhere in the world.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There really aren't any issues with Lightspeed but there are a few things that needed to be improved in the connection to eCom and those things are currently being improved.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

Product filtering for eCommerce and the setup of shipping pricing needs to be improved and managed from the Retail side of things.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We went from zero online presence to over half of our business being online in just over 3 years. Allowing our customers to view our entire inventory online has been amazing.

linked up to our most frequent vendor for easy order imports

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I think the only things we ever wish could be different are preferential, meaning if they changed the system to accommodate us, they'd end up with other users unhappy about the change. There's always more than one way to do most things so that helps.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

Id like to see more of our vendors link up with the system to make auto importing of orders a thing we do with most orders we receive

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It allowed us to have an affordable, computer based inventory management with bar codes 15 years ago. It was Cloud based so we didn't have pesky network issues and I could work from home by simply logging on.

What are the best aspects of this product?

All in one point of sale, inventory control and mini CRM. Powerful reporting and easy to use.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Not much to complain about here. I'd like to be able to add a note to the individual sale record. However the system does allow to ad notes to the customer record, which is what we do.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

I can't think of any, for us it does everything we need it to do.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Inventory control, margin assessment, profit and loss data, discount management, customer identification and retention and much more.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I am still in the onboarding phase of using Lightspeed Retail. Their onboarding staff is helpful, organized, and sensible. I have spent a long time researching 12 different platforms before deciding with multichannel platform to move my electronics business to. There are no perfect solutions, but Lightspeed has shown a willingness to carry me along at my speed, not theirs. I was a user of Lightspeed OnSite for, I think, 12 years before this. Back then I took a chance on a little known company with questionable financing for my most critical business system. Not only did they survive and grow, but they learned and are still learning today. And they are a much more credible competitor in a dynamic business segment. I highly recommend them.

Sales while access to the server is interrupted.

Costly management of onsite servers was eliminated.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I have installed numerous POS systems in my 30+ years of experience. LightSpeed is by far the most comprehensive system, yet easiest system to implement and use.

There support mechanism is second to none. If you look your question up in help, there will be documentation to answer your question, and chances are there is a video that walks you step by step through the solution.

If you feel like you want to get live help, there chat mechanism is one of the best, better yet, the support people on the chat are the most patient and knowledgeable support people in the business.

Simply the best.
