I have been conducting one-on-one meetings for over 10years now with my direct reports and frankly never had such a handy tool to help me with these meetings. I used to use the old and trusted dairy to make notes, but not everyone did, and that led to a lot of issues.
Listed below are the features that I have used and liked.
Gets synced to my google calendar.
Pops-up when the g-meet starts, can be collapsed into a corner so it's not very intruding or taking up space on the screen.
Agenda can be set and crossed off when done.
Next steps can be added and responsible people can be tagged.
All of this comes on an email, always good to have everything in my inbox.
All in all this looks like a tool I'm going to get hooked on and get implemented throughout my organization. Thanks to you and your team for working on something so feature rich, simple yet elegant. Keep it up!
Nothing as such, its a new tool that I have just started to use and so far its met all my expectations.
Its made my one-on-one meetings very productive, there is no more freewheeling in these meetings now. Both me and my direct reports are able to set the agenda and discuss everything important. We make notes and also add Next Steps which get tagged to the responsible person with a Due date. The best part is that I get email reminders for my next tasks before the due date and that helps me ensure that I have finished them on time.
This tool is so well synced with Google calendar and Google Meet that it popups right when my google meet starts with the list of my agenda. Its simply Awesome!
It's a life saver.
The slack integration is a game changer in order to build meeting agendas throughout the day/week/etc/ Recurring items, automatically moving unchecked items to the next meeting, priority sorting, and upvoting on discussions were all great features that helped run effective meetings and larger group Q&As.
The dashboard doesn't update in real time so if people add agenda items during a meeting or check off items you'd need to refresh your browser in order to see that.
We were solving a need for improving meetings, with a focus on 1-1 meetings. Benefits have been better and more collaborative agendas, more engagement in group Q&As, and better follow ups on agenda items post meeting,
Easy to get started. Easy to share what you have recorded. And we are finding out that prospects will watch the short videos!
I still struggle transitioning to editing. This is probably my issue but I always have a hard time figuring out how to start the edit.
I can make internal training videos easily and quickly and CHEAPLY. I can make professional sales pitches just as easily.

We were able to jump right in and start using SoapBox for our meetings as we were running them. It's very easy to get set up and using the software. The app helps you to make meetings more productive. You can assign actions to individuals, share agendas with contacts ahead of time, and record notes as you're in a meeting. The integration with 3rd party tools like Google Calendar and Chrome works really well.
In short, SoapBox has made our meetings much more productive. It's a great tool!
I'd love to see integration with external CRM products such as Nimble CRM and external task management tools like Todoist.
We weren't aware that we needed help running productive meetings until we started using SoapBox! The software allows us to set an agenda, assign actions and gives continuity between meetings.
I love how simple it is to record, edit, and share a soapbox video.
I don’t like how the free version doesn’t allow you to download the videos.
I’m sharing product and user instructions in a personal manner with soapbox.
The ease of use, it takes me 2 minutes to record and edit a video
I don't see any downside right now - soapbox is simple and effective
I use soapbox for video outreach during the sales process, prospecting, micro demos and bringing contacts that have gone cold back into the pipeline
Meetings were run in a more concise, focused, and expeditious manner. Used the free version which worked very well for our organization.
Some of our folks thought it wasn't as intuitive as it could be. After much discussion, switched to another product.
for small companies, try the free version and really put it through its paces. If the fit feels right, migrate to paid versions.
We are a consulting company with full time, seasonal and as needed employees. Sometimes getting every body at the same place, at the same time which the same playbook was difficult. Soapbox helped to streamline the process and sort things out.
Getting started was a charm, super intuitive and easy guides to learn from. Wish the helpcenter/support channel was more robust, though.
It's a bit simplistic in the whole feature/functionality world. Asana has it beat in a few categories.
I've used soapbox to conduct 1-1s and to help keep notes on those 1-1s
It has a good UI and we can get our tasks history. When we are meeting we can save time by knowing the aim of our meeting before hand. We can record good videos in it and can have meetings one on one and one to many. It structures the meeting in apt way and hence every team member is well awared that what his task is today.
It is not a standing out application as slack handles the things a little better than this. It is too simple with integrations and should focus on design for integrated items. However we can not say it is not good as it offers very intuitive interface and is easy for beginner.
You have to wait for the better stable version of the product as the product is not mature enough at the current stage, however it is worth a try if your requirements are low.
We tried using it for some of our team meetings and compared it with other tools. It was very easy to use and looks very great. Collaboration on agenda was made simple for the team members. It is still developing so we can not argue that it does not have potential to be great but still alot to improve.
