Simple structure for structuring meetings and quickly seeing what has been discussed and what need to be discussed. The hierarchy makes sense and the ability to assign tasks and review them across workspaces is amazing. It's something that has been a gap for me in other task programs and it works well here.
Collaborating can be a bit quirky. Sometimes I'll update an item while someone else is viewing it and the update will appear someplace random on the list of talking points. There is no way to see a running log of what's been discussed, you have to look at each historic meeting one at a time which can be annoying when you know something happened, but are not sure when.
Keeping meetings organized and tracking tasks that come from meetings. It's being used for most recurring meetings and 1v1s. It's provided a solid structure for how these meeting should run across the company and has brought everyone into the same process.
There are many tools that are out there that help with Employee Reviews and Setting Goals. The difference that Hypercontext delivers from every other platform is that the tool changes behavior. It is not a 6 month or annual "what have you done for me lately" review tool. It is a seamless integrated, part of your everyday life natural evolution.
I learned a few things while writing my first reviews that could have been more obvious. They were easy to correct but that could have been simpler. I know the next cycle will be smoother.
We are focused on having a performance oriented culture. In a remote environment you need clear goals, to hold people accountable, and to share feedback consistently. Hypercontext helps keep the team on track and build the habits that will drive us forward.
Hypercontext automatically syncs up with your calendar and allows for seamless and proactive conversations. They also supply a number of templates and resources to use.
There's the occasional glitch/ growing pain but nothing major and as expected from a growing and evolving company.
Meeting agendas
Driving performance
Organizational alignment
It's very user friendly. Makes it easy for me to have all my notes for meetings in one place. I also like that you can tick off the points discussed, add actions and assign these to yourself or others. The after meeting transcript that gets emailed is also super useful.
There isn't anything I can think of at this point.
It helps me keep all my notes in one place and this can be viewed by the person I am meeting with.
Works perfectly for what we need without any weird hangups or extra costs.
Our go-to as a small org is to use Google Meet, and Hypercontext integrates seamlessly, but if you update your operating system you better be prepared to do the same for this one since it hasnt properly synced since.
Collaboration
Being able to track discussions and next steps in agendas for future planned and unplanned meetings have been super helpful! I like the ability to add tasks to Jira. I also like the ability to add Goals to my 1:1 Meeting with my Manager and the ability to set metrics. Having balanced conversations have been a huge value for me as an individual contributor to have conversations with my manager.
I don't like that it's not totally integrated with Outlook.
Tracking discussions and keeping stakeholders accountable
This is one of the very few software tools that my team actually ENJOYS using.
I've been organizing performance reviews for about a decade and a half. They have always been a drag and a headache. This year, done via Hypercontext, was the first time in my career that the process of doing an annual perforamance review has been positively received. Normally managers and employees think "ugh ok this is yet another thing we need to do." This year the feedback was universally "hey that was easy" and "wow that was useful." I was shocked.
Our managers also use Hypercontext for weekly 1:1s. It's so easy and organized for that. Our teams have a saying now, "if it's not in HC, it doesn't count". Everything we want done gets tracked and managed inside HC. All of the other places we tried to manage goals (like google docs, spreadsheets, even slack and email) all failed because they're too scattered and noisy. Hypercontact works because it's easy and centralized.
Don't tell them, but they're not charging us enough. We looked at other software which was all legacy HR junk, was more expensive, AND was way worse to use.
First - how do we keep our employees aligned in a remote work environment where there are fewer touchpoints available to make sure things are headed in the right direction.
Second - how do we make sure we have strong performance in whatever our chosen direction is.
It is very useful for keeping meetings on track and send the minutes once the meeting is completed.
It should have another level of user. Free user that only has viewing priveledges.
Keeping meetings on track
My most important meeting each week is my 1:1s. Most managers underutilize these meetings. Hypercontext helps me add structure and efficiency to these meetings, improving relationships and productivity with my team. Additionally makes it really easy to go back in time and remember "what did we do" when writing annual reviews or promotion documents.
The manager level reporting could be better, but I know they just improved that in a recent release and I haven't used it yet.
Aligning my team especially for 1:1s. Hypercontext is great at this.

TLDR: Hypercontext is an amazing tool to bring teams together.
Love the ability to drop items to the agenda from anywhere on the we. Super helpful to not forget little things, and I feel like it's much easier to enrich our talking points with data and insights with Hypercontext being available everywhere. I can easily grab a screenshot / link and drop it there on the fly.
The "past agendas" archive is an amazing resource we never really had before. It's so easy to go back and look at notes of how decisions were made or what was the process and steps taken.
The Goals feature is keeping us on our toes, encouraging progress, and allowing for timely updates. We love the variety of measurement options, the SUPER EASY flow there, and the overall experience.
Thank you for adding the live preview of note-taking - huge game changer!!!
OUTSTANDING support team - super attentive to questions and feedback!
The fact that goals are tied to a specific meeting and cannot be shared (for example, if we wanna track a shared goal between 2 departments - multiple measurements for each team) = makes goals less powerful than they could be.
I also wish there was a connection between goal details and next steps.
Review "Loops" was in beta when we used it and the experience wasn't the best yet, but I know they were working on it.
Record keeping with ease, keeping everyone focused during the meeting, collecting topics, and adding notes easily from anywhere.
Hypercontext helps me feel confident that I'll never forget "that little thing", and helps me prioritize my meeting topics easily.
