We can user for Web applications become more and more significant,
Microsoft SQL are relational database management systems .
we can create tables, store procedure ,function, trigger based on table,
Selecting the right one for your needs is essential to ensure the quality and proper performance of your application.
Microsoft SQL is only designed to run on Windows-based servers. For various reasons,
we are create website on Unix machines, they are unable to use Microsoft SQL.
there also may be compatibility issues regarding interaction with applications that are running on other platforms.
we can Recommendations Oracle,My sql, post gray
Microsoft sql Maintenance plans and backups can easily be configured, there’s no need for custom scripts.
Microsoft sql to manage, backup, restore and move the database files.
you can query Activate data directly in the Management Studio without the need for custom programming or scripts.
Though MS Sql come with lots of benefits which can't be explained in few words. But some of those are as follow :-
*Easy to use.
*Relational Data base.
*We can any kinds of data with our custom data structure.
*We can take the backup of the data base.
*We can restore the backup to other system.
*Generating script of database along with lost of option,
And there are many more...
We are unable to manage our data in tree format. Unless we have to create the different table structure to maintain the tree hierarchy. If we took the back up of the upper version of the MS Sql the we won't able to restore on the lower version of the Ms Sql.
Though MS Sql is a relational data base and it meets almost every requirements. So any kind of software i would like to suggest every one to go for MS Sql for storing the data. It provide us security which prevents our data for unauthorised access. So 10/10 i would recommend every one to go for MS Sql
I am using the Ms Sql for database management. I have worked in more the 5 different companies with is Ms Sql platform for . more the 5yrs. I use Ms Sql for managing the School Domain Data, ERP Applications, Billing Applications,HRM Application and many more.
Microsoft SQL is very robust but easy to install and maintain. The available tools such as SQL Server Management Studio really simplify the maintenance process and also allows developers to easily access their databases with powerful and speedy queries. The ability to schedule jobs, setup custom alerts based on message contents, easily setup security access, connect to remote or local databases and just the overall simplicity in managing all of your critical databases and also backup databases on a schedule with little disruption really all contributes to a very powerful solution for most applications that require a database.
We find that there are issues when you run SQL on VMs and when you takee a VM snapshot it can mess with your incremental backups which is kind of a huge problem if you are not aware of it. A company definitely needs to have a regular testing plan for data backups as there are some finicky things about SQL that if you do not have a strong DBA or at least a good understanding of SQL, you can easily get into trouble.
Also, I am not happy about the pricing for SQL as it is very confusing and when they start talking about per core pricing, it is like being punished because you happened to purchase yourself a decent server.
If you need a robust database with excellent backing and support, then Microsoft SQL Server is the solution.
We use SQL for our ERP system, PLM system, B2B eCommerce systems as well as for any internal solutions developed in house that require a database backend. Within our ERP we can create custom business related objects and within these we can make SQL statements. As such we often create many stored procedures and call them from these BROs. It is very flexible this way and SQL just simply works well and is solid.
MSSQL is a very flexible and robust piece of software. Now that you can run it on Linux or even on Mac, I've started using it everywhere. It offers amazing stability and functionality. I love the user management features in which you can assign roles to each and every user. It's also very secure. You can encrypt entire tables. Schema system is helpful as well and helps you organize your databases better. It's easy to set up and start working on.
Performance can be a bit slow sometimes. You can't use it with low RAM as it will often hang up. It's also expensive, so it might deter smaller enterprises.
It's a great DMBS for small to mid sized enterprises and is loaded with all the necessary (and more) functionality. I recommend giving it a try.
I use MSSQL for an OLAP system in a banking environment. We use MSSQL to store customer info, loan facts and dimensions, repayment schedules and etc. It's easy to analyze the stored data and export it into modelling software. MSSQL provides lots of cool built-in features which makes coding easier and more fun.
We are using Microsoft SQL to store and retrive the data by our web based applications. Our web applications which are using Microsoft SQL server at backend, are working very smoothly Data retrieval and data storing speed of Microsoft SQL server is pretty good. Microsoft SQL enables developers to implement their logic to solve various calculations problems.
Only dislike is that the license fee is bit higher. Other than that there is no issue in Microsoft SQL.
Most of our web based applications are running on top of Microsoft SQL. Customer's data is being stored in SQL databases from these web applications. Microsoft SQL provides SQL profiler and performance tuning tools to improve the performance of SQL queries which these web based applications are using to retrieve and store the data.
When you're working with MS SQL on its management studio, you do have this enterprise feeling, which is great because it gives you a secure notion that it sure is a solid solution. I use it every day at my job and we have a nice development workflow using the solution explorer that keeps your queries organized and neat.
It is heavy. Be ready for that. You do need a development machine for this, not a personal laptop. Maybe your personal desktop PC is properly equipped, but I do not recommend having this on a low spec machine because you will feel a performance hit.
For the type of application that we are developing on my job, we do need an engine that can work with big data, and MS SQL has proven to be a good fit. It works great, but you do need to optimize the way you work with the data, because if you don't, it will fail like any other engine. But with MS SQL optimized for performance, you'll love it.
Creation, administration and management of the database is really easy, even for beginners. It is fast and stable and it works good with other Microsoft products. I feel right at home when I'm using SQL Server Management Studio. It has a practical UI and of course a really helpful intellisense feature. The problems which my team and I solve require fast response and fast solutions and Microsoft SQL is of great help with that.
The price of the enterprise package might be too high for smaller companies, installation of the premium part might be costing.
I would highly recommend other Enterprises to use MS SQL for their DB solutions.
My team handles a major part in administration and management of the database for one of the big US supermarket chains. Without getting into too many details, we run a lot of scripts and queries through thousands of items and transactions in order to find the cause of problems and bugs which happen during customer interactions with the Self checkouts. The speed and ease of use which Microsoft SQL is offering help us a lot and allows us to quickly pinpoint the issues.
As a user of the Express edition, the best feature of Microsoft SQL Server lays in my ability to scale up if needed. There are so many free SQL Servers, but the benefit of this offering is the flexibility to move between servers and even scale up by pushing the server to Azure SQL, or an Azure VM. There are more options available to me with Microsoft's SQL Server.
One downside to the express edition I use is the restrictions that are put in place for memory and CPU usage. In some cases, this benefits me in that I don't want to be hosting my database on a super computer, but under a heavy load I know my free version will not hold up. However, looking back at the positives, I can easily scale up!
Unless you need one of the features of the more advanced versions, start with SQL Server Express, and upgrade if needed. I have been working with Express for my small sites for years, and using the paid versions at work, there are no noticeable differences.
Microsoft SQL gives me peace of mind because I can develop my entire application at a low level (with low cost!) and then scale up when I hit production IF NEEDED.
It supports DBMS which most application required in development. SQL server supported all the application development tool. It also supports RDBMS which makes variety application support
Every major version is having many sub versions. That makes some confusion in developer mind.
For any kind application such as simple or complex for data storage is easier.
Simple database and complex database can be implemented.
