ServiceHelpHQ FAQs

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Every account starts on the free plan, which covers up to 10 completed visits per month at no cost. Scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and customer texting all work on the free plan. It's a real working plan, not a trial that expires.

What happens when I hit 10 visits in a month?

Your visit counter in the top bar shows where you are (for example, "8 of 10"). When you're ready for more, upgrade to the paid plan from Plan & billing, where there's an Upgrade button right on the counter. Upgrading lifts the cap; your data and settings carry over unchanged.

How do I upgrade?

Do I need to install anything?

No. ServiceHelpHQ runs in any modern browser. You can also install it as an app on your phone or computer for one-tap access. Look for the Install option.

How does scheduling work?

Create a visit, pick the customer and service, and place it on the calendar. Assign it to a crew member, or let auto-scheduling suggest a slot that fits your team's availability and the job's location.

Can I set up recurring visits?

Yes: weekly, biweekly, monthly, or a custom cadence. Recurring visits generate automatically so you don't re-enter them. See Schedule a recurring visit.

Does it account for drive time between jobs?

Yes. Auto-scheduling considers travel between job locations so the day's route is realistic, not just back-to-back on the clock.

How do customers request a quote?

Share your request-a-quote link. Customers describe the job and their address, and the request lands in your queue to price and send back. Depending on the service, simple jobs can book directly while others come in as a quote request.

Can I add optional add-ons to a quote?

Yes. Quotes support optional line items the customer can accept or decline, so you can offer extras without rebuilding the quote.

Can customers pay by card?

Yes. With Stripe connected, you can send a pay link on any invoice and the customer pays by card online. Payments are recorded against the invoice automatically. See Take a card payment.

Does invoicing happen automatically?

Recurring work can generate invoices on a schedule, and you can send payment reminders automatically so you're not chasing every one by hand.

What payment processor do you use?

Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

Can I text my customers?

Yes. ServiceHelpHQ sends appointment confirmations, "on my way" messages, and reminders, and you can message customers directly. Automatic reminders cut down on no-shows.

Are automatic reminders included?

Yes. Reminders and confirmations are built in, and you control which notifications go out.

Can I give my technicians their own access?

Yes. Invite crew members and each gets their own sign-in scoped to their work (their schedule, job details, and check-in) without seeing billing or company-wide settings. See Invite a technician.

Can I see who’s clocked in and where?

Yes. Crew can check in and out with a geo-stamp at the job, so you can see who's on site.

How much does it cost?

The free plan is free for up to 10 visits a month. The paid plan lifts that cap. See Plan & billing for current pricing. You can change or cancel anytime.

Can I import my existing customers?

Yes. You can import customers from a spreadsheet (including exports from tools like Jobber or QuickBooks), and the importer maps your columns for you. See Import your customers.

Is my data mine?

Yes. Your customer and job data is yours. You can export it, and you can cancel anytime.
