(Reviewed on 31 October 2020) Knowledge cards in Guru suit my job well

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Guru always provides reliable information to me anytime necessary. I feel confident each time I need to use the data on a knowledge card, or if I need to pass such information on to another person.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Difficult and complex information is sometimes hard to search in Guru. Nonetheless, I can be sure that I’d be grabbing the right information once I find them.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

This system is excellent for verifying different information and details. And such kind of reliability is important for my job, especially when I’m communicating with a seller or supplier.

(Reviewed on 26 October 2020) Superb user experience on a knowledge management tool

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Guru is a seamless and neat knowledge management tool that is easy to browse, and it is perfect for storing info that we can easily retrieve whenever needed. It has plenty of sorting options that help us keep and find items hassle-free. Plus, we can also use the Google Chrome browser to navigate the platform easier. This is a tremendous help in grabbing the right and accurate info on demand. Also, we can set knowledge alerts that carry important announcements and details for all our staff, and we can easily track who has read such alerts.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Notifications about the list of people who have read a card or who have checked a section should be enhanced. Other than this, Guru works really well. I have nothing to complain about its performance.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

This platform stores all essential information in our business, and it also helps us smoothly find the necessary details that we should bring to users. These include training guidelines, scaling ideas for our knowledge base, as well as queries in HR among other information.

(Reviewed on 17 August 2020) Best knowledge management platform for internal company use

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

I love the knowledge cards in Guru because I find it easy to fill with important details and information. Then, I can quickly share such cards with the rest of our group by grabbing a link.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

IN some instances, Guru yields a lot of results when searching. This can overwhelm a user that needs quick results. That’s why I hope that Guru would improve and would display only the most relevant and accurate items. Nonetheless, our user experience with the platform is still outstanding.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Guru suits well in our sales and customer service departments. It is a perfect tool for keeping all valuable details about our processes and products. It is also great that we can create knowledge cards on Guru, then the platform lets us share such cards easily. This makes it a great time saver because it significantly reduces the time we spend on finding the needed information.

(Reviewed on 13 August 2020) "Guru is a must have tool!"

What do you like best?

Guru is super simple to use. There is very little training required for my teams to use it.

I love having bite sized cards that the team can reference instead of rifling through pages of procedures to find an answer.

What do you dislike?

I would love the ability to import from excel.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Knowledge alerts also make it very convenient to roll out new processes and ensure all team members have seen them!

(Reviewed on 12 August 2020) "Saves time!"

What do you like best?

You can easily search for information and you don't have to bug your colleagues for information. Helps save time!

What do you dislike?

Hmmm.. nothing really! A lot of the times when someone asks a question in our chat, folks will respond with "check guru", which is a great reminder to check the information you have access to before checking with others. Guru is a great knowledge base!

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Get guru! It's helpful for any team!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Wasting time by asking for information and information being scattered. I have saved time by easily accessing the information I need on a call or being able to quickly send off an email versus waiting for the information.

(Reviewed on 10 August 2020) "Game Changer"

What do you like best?

- Surfacing content everywhere you need it

- Smart suggestions based on email content or what coworkers are viewing

- Analytics to show where content is missing

- Verification so you don't have a knowledge base of out of date information

- Simple to digest with links that are sharable externally

What do you dislike?

Already submitted to the product team but the ability to view which links are public vs internal isn't hugely clear

Recommendations to others considering the product:

We released the features in waves which was a winner, there's a lot of really cool things that Guru does but I think for users it's best to focus on waves of functionality to avoid losing people in the transition

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Sales team have access to all the content they need, when they need it and onboarding time is significantly easier now the information is all in one place

With the user stats we can correlate performance with information access which is great for performance

(Reviewed on 10 August 2020) "Extremely helpful"

What do you like best?

Guru is one of the most helpful applications I have used for company info dissemination.

What do you dislike?

It can get a bit bogged down with so many employees utilizing it.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If your company has a lot of information for users across departments, Guru is extremely helpful in organizing content and getting the right info to the user.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

A consistent message throughout the company is important and easily clarified with Guru. Being able to have the answers at my fingertips any time of day is time-efficient.

(Reviewed on 29 July 2020) "Love this tool!"

What do you like best?

This has helped facilitate my independent learning and growth by giving me a tool to find an answer myself. It's teaching someone how to fish rather than giving them a fish :)

It helps me feel independent and informed in my role even though I have only just started. I have a lot to learn but it helps be feel confident that I can find what I am looking for in one simple place.

What do you dislike?

At times, I wish it was organized beyond just searching so that there was more linear and connected information readily available. It would be great if Guru offered something along the lines of "continued learning" once you find your specific answer. For example, you find the detail you are looking for and can go down a "rabbit hole" about the topic or view other resources.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I was onboarded to my role entirely remotely. It is no surprise that there is a ton of information I needed to learn while effectively sitting at a desk alone. Guru cards helped me learn about the company, its policies, and also info related to my role. All could be done without pestering my colleagues who I hadn't even met yet.

(Reviewed on 24 July 2020) "Not sure how we'd function without Guru!"

What do you like best?

Love the organization in Guru. Every piece of information needs a place, the correct place, and Guru makes that happen!

What do you dislike?

As a growing and changing business, we have to re-organize sometimes. Right now, it's a difficult process to move cards and boards.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our company has several platforms and detailed processes for each platform. Guru supports our agents and allows them to know exactly what to do where.

What do you like best?

I like the ability to link cards so that you can find things you are looking for even when you don't land on the exact one

What do you dislike?

The search function is not great. You often need exact phrases and I find it difficult to find a card if I don't know exactly what 's in it

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am able to find answers to questions I didn't know exist fairly easy
