(Reviewed on 22 October 2020) "Complete centralized project file management"

What do you like best?

Its very helpful to be able to view files remotely, even if the computer does not have the appropriate software installed. Multiple people can use the same file at once, and coordinate seamlessly. The option to upload a version and compare what was added, removed, or changed with a color code and a description of the change is one of the most helpful features for BIM 360. It is also very easy to present to clients, where they can also take control to the extent of their permissions and pan around the model.

What do you dislike?

takes some time to appropriately set it all up, assigning permissions to each team member. If not set up properly there can be quite a lot of toe stepping during the work.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Have someone that has experience with this software as well as the level of involvement each member of the project will have to be able to appropriately set up the member permissions and properly set up the file management structure.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

By using BIM 360 we are solving remote work issues where the design team isn't all under a single roof. The ability to compare iterations of a file to see progress and changes with color coding is a big benefit when reviewing.

(Reviewed on 29 September 2020) "Great for Models"

What do you like best?

This program can be used to look at models in great detail, and can also work with the iOS version on the iPad.

Being able to view the model in detail helps a lot to get a visual of the project before it is built in the field. It can also be a big help in finding clashes between different trades such as HVAC and Plumbing.

What do you dislike?

I don’t currently have any issues with this program.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This is by far the most advanced modeling software that anyone working in construction needs to have access to.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Looking into building details and progress tracking on site. Also finding clashes so that they can be resolved before they become reality.

(Reviewed on 02 September 2020) "Fast and Reliable Collaboration"

What do you like best?

All can share files in different time zones and even different places any time. It makes the work together faster and reliable also cheaper. You do not need to contact thru phone or email. You do not need to wait for their answers They can share any thing whenever it is ready. You can connect all of your co-workers or anybody even from different companies that work in the same project as you. You can review files. You can add files. You can mark up and point any issue that would need to be addressed. You can create separate folders to make other people to understand the work easier. You can see who was updated the last and also when was the updated. You can point out the issues the need to be resolved. You can create separate project folders and go thru them without any mixed up. At the project home page you can see all basic & important things at once. At the document management part you can access all the files. Design collaboration part show you the 3d model with all the teammates you have

What do you dislike?

It doesn't show you on the cover the updated dates. For example you created a file on last year and you added something in it, it still shows you the previous date. When you look at it you could think that there was no update on that file. To avoid this I need to go all the files to see when was the last update. This could be good fix.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This is a reliable source that make your work magnificent.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It makes our work faster to collaborate. Make it easy to share files. I can reach all the teammates to discuss any issues we have without any problem.

What do you like best?

All documents are there to see and to backtrack and to compare different versions.

What do you dislike?

There is nothing at all that I dislike about Bim 360.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

You must implement Bim 360 from the start of a project and setup must be on point. Whatever you put in, in the beginning, will reflect later in the project.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

To compare different versions the resolve changes and clashes.

(Reviewed on 11 August 2020) "Managing multidisciplinary data for large scale engineering projects"

What do you like best?

BIM 360 is an effective collaboration platform that provides an unmatched set of tools for the allocation of project data in a well-organized data center infrastructure. This allow us to centralize all project related information in a secured repository system where technicians, designers, engineers and decision makers can share and exchange data more efficiently.

What do you dislike?

So farr company is there is nothing that I can complaint about.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our main goal is combine technical resources with skilled professionals to create a collaborative organization, where team members can interact and share information effectively. BIM 360 provide the mechanism for a comprehensive level of support to technicians, designers, engineers and decision makers. We constantly integrate traditional processes based on CAD, GIS, GPS, REVIT, etc. with Point cloud, LiDAR, Drones and Photogrammetry, and we use BIM 360 to display the results, perform evaluations and conduct discussions.

(Reviewed on 07 August 2020) "BIM360"

What do you like best?

Having a live view into the model, being able to select items and view their properties from plan view. Tracking live issues in the model.

What do you dislike?

clunky nature of commenting feature. How different the 3D view is from navis works. I think it could be improved by allowing us to make site snags on the issues section of project management as we currently can, but add a note to the drawing to indicate where the snag is. For exmaple, when making comments in the design phase we have the yellow circles/ dots on the drawing that indicate what the comment is being made against. I wouldlike to be able to do this for snags as well.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make sure that you implement the full software rather than just one element of it. The way it works together is what gives it its value. Make sure that all stakeholders are set up properly. BIM technicians, quality officers, engineers, subcontractors etc. Make sure that training is offered to all and that someone on the project is nominated to own the training process and is avaliable for questions from everyone on the project.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Having a live view into the model, being able to select items and view their properties from plan view. Tracking of construction issues in the model, being able to open them as in dispute, closed, open, ready to inspect etc. Being able to add photos directly onto the comment by taking them through the app is a big timesaver when it comes to adding photos onto snags as previously they had to be sorted through and added to items manually. Now we dont have to take photos when doing site snagging then forget what the photo is of or for.
