(Reviewed on 10 December 2020) "Amazing new insights from gong data"

What do you like best?

After 20 years of relationship management and experience in influencing, gong has opened up a new world of learning how to build best practices through data driven insights.

The fact that you can review speech patterns, analyse stages of the conversation and context is truly remarkable and you cant get these without a coach.

What do you dislike?

Nothing that I don't like about using Gong. Compared to other recording software it's understanding and visuals are very intuitive.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you're looking for sales insights and and heuristics on conversation flows and topics, Gong allows the user to dissect the conversation by topic, stage, and rhythm.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Looking for patterns in engagement during discovery calls as well as referring to notes for posterity.

Thanks to Gong I'm able to revisit complex discussions and save time.

What do you like best?

What I like about Gong is the ability to review the transcription of my calls. I find this very beneficial and preferred over reviewing the recording.

What do you dislike?

I wish there was tighter correlation between the transcript and the video. It would be wonderful to correlate the transcript directly the video and visa versa.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Prior to Gong my company was using Chorus and there was no comparison as far as robustness.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Documenting customer calls and reviewing details that were covered during the call.

It gives me an opportunity to work with multiple teams in our organization to help our customers.

What do you dislike?

not much I can comment on here. We have had a good experience.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Training , digging deeper into our customers pain points as we listen to calls and include other team members to listen.

What do you like best?

I love being able to search through transcripts and that my team can see follow-up tasks that they mention on the call

What do you dislike?

The lack of ability to rename calls accounts can be frustrating

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's helping my CS team train each other and helping us understand promises made and make appropriae followup.

(Reviewed on 04 December 2020) "Gong is a Game-changer"

What do you like best?

I can listen to my calls and hear what's working and what's not working in my communications, visually see where different conversation sections are (e.g. discovery, pitch, objection handling, etc.) and what key words are mentioned (e.g. competitors, filler words, key messaging, etc.). I can put down my pen and really listen to my prospects --- because I can review the recording later to make sure I catch every important note my prospect mentioned. My manager can give me coaching more quickly and easily --- like using game-tape. And I can listen to our top reps' calls whenever I want --- so I can learn how to be a top rep too! I would only want to work in sales at a company that uses Gong.

What do you dislike?

I don't yet know what Gong's going to come up with next. :)

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Stop just looking at Gong, and start using Gong. As soon as possible. It's worth the investment because of the proven results that teams are able to achieve with it. Once you start, proactively reach out to your Customer Success rep for support when needed.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

There are many solutions I'm obtaining with Gong, but I'll mention one. Problem: asking leadership and team members what top reps are doing differently to win more; and hearing answers that - despite best intentions - are not as deep or accurate as they could be if Gong were used. I think a lot of times people don't realize some subtle - yet key - things they're doing differently to get the results they're achieving. Solution: with Gong I can literally see and hear exactly what top performers are doing and saying differently - e.g. their tone, objection-handling, discovery questions, pitch, industry knowledge, talk time versus listen time, maybe even body language (in video recordings), etc. And I can study all of that independently. Also, it may be good to note: I've never known a top rep to be upset that others are hearing his/ her calls. In my experience, using Gong has a way of cultivating a culture of humility, integrity, and winning together.

(Reviewed on 02 December 2020) "Incredible tool for any client-facing role"

What do you like best?

Very intuitive to use, perfect way to understand which areas needing improvement during sales process. Love that I'm able to listen to calls from other people in my company to learn what's been successful in other offices. Before the pandemic I'd use the mobile app to listen to my team's calls during my commute.

What do you dislike?

Not really a "dislike" per se but there are a lot of features & functionality. Took some time to get comfortable/find all the ways the tool analyzes recorded calls.

Would love more support resources to learn how to use the platform more effectively (maybe more proactive push from Gong's support to show where to find their resources?)

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I think this is a must-have for any legitimate sales organization, especially if there are young, straight-out-of-college sales reps on the team.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Use the tool to improve my own sales processes but mainly to help develop new sales reps, get more visibility into product demos & where deals were lost.

(Reviewed on 02 December 2020) "Gong is a critical tool in my sales arsenal!"

What do you like best?

- Detailed Recordings

- Analytics that break down my talk track

- Transcriptions for easy referencing

- Email reminders and notes on deliverables i committed to during my call

- Easy peer feedback

- Great UI

- Talk Ratio data

What do you dislike?

Nothing, it's all gravy. Although I've heard it's expensive but you get what you pay for.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Get the demo, you'll be impressed. This is future tech.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Sometimes conversations get intense and notes sometimes aren't as detailed as I need. It's great to have a system that allows for me to quickly reference conversations without having to listen to the entire meeting. A big win!

Another value is that I can obtain great feedback from peers and management on where i can improve and it can be done at their convenience.

(Reviewed on 01 December 2020) "Great solution, can't imagine life without it"

What do you like best?

Team Stats. As a Manager, it gave me tangible details I could use to coach the team -- even for high performers, it gave solid opportunities to optimize. As an IC, it helps me to track how my performance against industry benchmarks to ensure I'm optimizing my time with customers.

Also, the NLP is pretty amazing - very easy to find keywords and zoom into key points in a discussion (or across multiple discussions).

The connection between web and mobile allowing you to continue listening to a call even when you move between devices is also really neat.

What do you dislike?

The only time it's bothered me is with the frequency of re-signing in, but that's a) probably a smart thing considering how sensitive the information within it is; and b) probably a customizable setting that I didn't bother to ask my admin about.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Buy it - it really makes a difference, for both Sales Managers, IC Salespeople, an even for Post-Sales Support (who can go back and listen to what was said during the Sales process to ensure alignment).

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Driving process improvements for myself and my team - the only way it could be done before was with ride-alongs, and with a 9-person team that was impossible at scale.

And for myself as an IC, I don't get usable feedback very often on the quality of my calls, since I've trained most people on how to sell at my company. But the data gives me what I need!

What do you like best?

I love being able to have my meetings/calls recorded and go back for quality assurance. It assists me with making sure i'm hitting all of my points for customer success.

What do you dislike?

the recordings can sometimes be late to the meeting and I am unable to allow them in due to disrupting the meeting

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am solving customer technical issues, computers and devices.

(Reviewed on 30 November 2020) "Exceptional tool to gather customer and prospect insights"

What do you like best?

I like the ability to search for keywords. I work on our technology integrations and partnership strategy so getting insight into the integrations our customers are asking is a solid data point I use to prioritize which integrations and partnerships to pursue and build.

What do you dislike?

I wish you could click on a paragraph in a transcript to jump directly to that part of the call recording. Sometimes it's hard to scrub to the right part of the conversation to get the specific insight you're looking for.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Excellent tool for understanding what your prospects and customers are looking ford. Searching for keywords is a game changer in understanding what features/products to prioritize on your roadmap.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

- Prioritizing integrations and technology partnerships by ranking them based on how often they come up in conversations.

- Getting a sense of the current opportunity we have going with a prospect so that I have the right context before engaging partners.

- Checking back on conversations that ours sellers had with partners (where I wasn't able to attend) to see how the call went and to review next steps
