What are the best aspects of this product?

iCIMS can completely function well with other necessary apps for human resource management. This lets us create a reliable and efficient system for recruitment and applicant handling. It’s truly incomparable with other ATS apps we’ve tried before.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

iCIMS is a powerful ATS that is packed with dozens of useful features. Thing is, it is difficult to understand and use without the right guides.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

This is useful for establishing a human resource system that runs on a single panel. It makes using multiple apps unnecessary, which is a huge relief for our team.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I like the fact that it is easy to customize the program. It offers multiple integrations with other applications, which is a plus on my side. They are trying very hard to integrate this tool with other technologies which will help both the existing and potential users of this program. Just to mention a recent workshop I attended in Philadelphia, which was held by iCIMS, they want to involve all players in finding new solutions and how to develop and make better this program. With such a dedication, I liked how they took their time and effort to help engage both the users and potential users of this program in finding how it can serve them better.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It has problems when it comes to its reporting feature. For newcomers it can be frustrating to pull up reports on everything that you do using this program. It may take you a lot of time to generate a report that you want. This means that you have to learn a few tricks and short cuts on how to pull this off. You will need to know how to locate and use filters for your reports so that you can locate them with ease once they are generated. It would be better if they made the filter function easy to locate so that users can be able to filter reports once they generate them using this program.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It has come out as a tool that brings better solutions to the entire of our recruitment exercise. From the time of locating a reliable candidate to the time of hiring, iCIMS has been exceptional. We are able to save the time of employing a candidate with our company, time of filling a request and also tracking the activities and interview of a candidate. With the online platform, we do not have to deal with hardcopy paperwork as the Onboarding feature works fine to make our work easier on that part. As such we are able to improve the quality of our candidates throughout the interview process.

What are the best aspects of this product?

It offers great customization once you implement it into your system. I have been using it for almost 10 years and I can tell you that it has become of huge help in terms of recruitment processes. It is possible to edit fields, reports and customize workflows the way you want or with respect to your requirements. This makes your work easier as you can build an internal system that is tailored for your system needs. It is also easy to access from wherever you are since it is a cloud based platform. For the control functionality, you can choose who to add or who to remove from the system which gives you better admin functionalities. The job library works fine to keep our job descriptions updated all the time for our candidates.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Although highly customizable, it does not provide that for windows pop-ups. It would be better if there was an improvement on this to make the tool even better in terms of functionality. It is also not easy to get rid of or delete fields that are no longer in use. For example, if you create a field and then after sometime you no longer need it, you cannot delete it. It only provides for you to hide it. The complexity of the tool can be too much for a newcomer. Due to this, you will be required to hire an expert in managing updates within the system. It is also not intuitive when integrating with Outlook which is a major drawback on our part.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It has become a great workflow management tool for our recruitment processes. We are able to track the sources, recruiters and candidates who apply for the jobs we have put up. This form of management of workflow makes us to optimize our resources in sources that bring in a higher flow of candidates for the jobs we post. As a result, we are able to utilize our scarce resources to get maximum resources. For example, during the year 2015, we only had 10 recruiters and out of that we were able to hire 681 people. This was impressive and it could not have been possible without iCIMS with 10 recruiters.

When it comes to the design of the tool, it is very simple. It offers a great way for users to make the best use of the functionalities the product has to offer. iCIMS makes the process of recruitment easy even for a new user as the features are easy to understand. It is highly customizable which mean that you can edit the fields and workflows to suit your company needs. The fact that it has multiple Webinars mean that you will be able to learn how to use the different features the product has which puts you at a better position to make the best use of what you have.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Although updates now and then are helpful as they help to address the problems users have with the tool, they tend to slow down the processes. My staff finds such updates on iCIMS not that helpful to them. Although they signify improvements, it may take time to learn how to use the new updates within the system. This cuts off or slows down the workflow which is not that good on my part. All in all, we appreciate those upgrades since they are necessary if this product is to be competitive in the market. Apart from that, the scheduling functionality is not that intuitive. It is difficult to use and thus a drawback on my part.

Previously, we used to do the recruitment process manually. iCIMS has allowed us to go paperless to a large extent. We are able to manage all that process online while we engage our candidates in real time and thus save time on the same. It is also possible to track and analyze data concerning our recruitment processes and generate reports whenever we want. Those reports help us to know which areas need improvements in order to get value for our money and save time on the same. For example, we are able to analyze and track sources so that we can know which areas to add more resources on advertising and which areas to slice the budget on advertising.

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

It is an all-round tool for our talent acquisition products. We feel that it has all the resources and features that we need to actively and effectively acquire talent products without much hustle. It provides better and reliable ways to execute Onboarding processes for our talent acquisition activities. iCIMS is a great product when it comes to implementation. We did not have a problem in this area. Although we had to set up the entire workflow and processes before we could implement it, it was smooth thereafter. It made everything seamless from the workflow to providing assistance to customers in an equitable manner.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

We were made to believe that just by integrating with channel partners, we did not need new integrations. However, this was not the case as we realized later that it was a must that we add new integrations to make this efficient on our part. It would have been nice if they made tis clear on our part. This would have gotten us up and running with our talent acquisition processes. Due to this misinformation, we took a lot of time to realize that we had it all wrong which slowed down our workflows. If we got the right message earlier than later, we would have known which forms to purchase and portal to go with for efficiency in operations.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Since we deal with the sale and marketing customer goods and need to find reliable talent for our products, iCIMS has made all this possible. It provides a well-rounded formula in terms of resources and features so that we are able to execute our duties in the right manner. Our talent department has been able to set up controls and manage the entire process of recruiting by working side by side with vendors. Thanks to iCIMS, we have been able to make our brand presentable as we only hire the best talent to manage our sales and marketing which is a plus. As a result, we are able to save time and hire talent that is more equipped and skilled as compared to what our competitors are hiring.
