"Telnyx does just what you want an infrastructure service to do - work reliably"

What do you like best?

Telnyx has many communication features. In our organization, we strictly use the SMS/MMS send/receive.

What I like best is:

- Very fine-grained control of all aspects of SMS/MMS messaging in an easy-to-use RESTful API outgoing and a straighforward webhook callback on incoming

- Configurable profiles for managing multiple numbers, webhook callback URLs, etc.

- Many options for permissions setup by user type in the admin interface (billing/financial, technical setup, etc).

- They expose all of the information on incoming SMS/MMS if you need it (device type, etc.) but you can ignore if you want

- Very responsive support folks who will understand the problem you are trying to solve and quickly determine if the service can do what you need it to. They will also quickly tell you when a feature is not yet available. This is rarer that you might think...

They do not force you into using high-level features if you want to just use them as simple transport. I sent my first SMS to myself on the subway going home from the office and had a "prototype" running in MS Power Automate sending/receiving SMS messages in about 15 minutes after getting back to work in the morning.

It is the perfect mechanism for creating your own solution, with Telnyx handling the communication with the telecom network. It is also great that they handle the FCC rules around consumer texting (processing "STOP", "START" etc.)

Really, really quite well done.

What do you dislike?

The "account owner" role cannot be easily reassigned to another administration site user. This is also the address where automated messages are sent, and it is not easy to separate these messages.

I also would like if the message logs were available through the API and not just as reports, for ease of automated reconciliation with our internal logs of message traffic.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Telnyx is for organizations who need direct access to telecom networks. If you have business-domain level workflows or other functionality, you must implement them separately.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using Telnyx to send/receive SMS/MMS messages with our consumers via our purpose-built workflow platform, as a substitute for voice phone calls.

This has already saved us time and given a more affirmative connection with the people we serve.

"Telnyx has been the best carrier I have had the opportunity to work with."

What do you like best?

Telnyx is fast to respond and knowledgeable immediately. You're not having to create a case and then get escalated up to someone who knows how to handle the issue, everyone is capable. The Telnyx team also gets to know you on a personal level so you feel an additional sense of trust when submitting a ticket. The portal gives me an amazing level of control including managing all of my own porting requests and number purchasing. Being able to see the past 30 days of history on a dashboard, and then also being able to drill down into the call IDs and pull detailed reports is nice.

What do you dislike?

I have had some carriers that have required extra intervention to get the calls routing properly to Telnyx. This is not something Telnyx is at fault for. I have found some of the phone systems I manage do not have documentation for SIP gateway/proxy setup inside the Telnyx KBA. I wish the feature request process for Telnyx was integrated into the portal instead of a 3rd party integration. I wish I had the ability to directly pull PCAPS of calls that have happened in the past 48 hours so I can see all of the signalling and audio. Right now the integrated tool hasn't worked fully to pull the signalling, and there isn't a way to pull pcap audio.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I have had the experience of working with a dozen carriers to port numbers for dozens of clients. Telnyx is head and shoulders above the rest in customer service and ease of use.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I'm able to deliver phone server to my clients anywhere in the world and deliver calls from one part of the world to another with local rates. I have allowed customers that are currently on PRI or FCO lines to move to SIP based solutions that allows us to move to a cloud server without requiring additional hardware at the client location. I have drastically lowered my headaches with number porting by switching to Telnyx.

"Telnyx is the BEST!!!!"

What do you like best?

The ability to turn up SIP in less than a minute, the ability to submit and manage the port process and the ability to access an intelligent portal that enables you to easily help yourself and need very little support.

What do you dislike?

Nothing!!! The service enables you to manage your own dial tone and your customers.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are selling phone systems and SIP this is the product for you. You have complete control of your SIP/Dialtone and the porting process.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Turning up SIP in less than a minute. Being able to manage the porting process.

What do you dislike?

nothing yet. It is pretty easy to use and the cost is very reasonable

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Sign up and give it a go! It's free and can't hurt to try. That's what I did and have not looked back. I hope to have a strong relationship with Telnyx long into the future.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have migrated from a less user friendly SIP provider. This product is less expensive and easier to user. Tech support is very responsive

"Telnyx has excellent service. I am very pleased and well-satisfied!"

What do you like best?

Support always responds very quickly to any concern, whether it is a technical issue or related to customer service. Their portal is very easy to navigate and is very useful for getting things done. This is very important for self-service. I have tried other companies, and other companies have a web portal also, but no one's web portal is as useful as the Telnyx portal. I am able to get done just about anything I need without needing help or technical support.

What do you dislike?

I have not found anything yet about Telnyx that I dislike. I have contacted their support numerous times about a variety of issues, and their response is always helpful and timely. This is very important to me, and I am thankful to have found a company that follows through on true customer support instead of just making false claims.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you need phone numbers, fax numbers, or SIP Trunks for VoIP service, Telnyx can help!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have reduced our VoIP phone costs substantially by using Telnyx services. Their portal is very easy to navigate and use. They can get phone numbers ported more quickly than other companies I have tried in the past.
