(Reviewed on 04 September 2020) "Seafile is a great selfhosted option for cloud storage"

What do you like best?

I like that we keep all data in house. i also like that I can run it via docker and keep upgrades simple and straightforward.

What do you dislike?

The downsides would be not having support if you are self hosting and using the open source community version. The option for purchasing support with the pro edition license is available, though.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would look at Owncloud as well as OneDrive if you have Office 365. Dropbox would be another to consider as well.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Seafile allows for self hosting large files securely without incurring big charges other than your own hardware.

The file locking feature is a nice concept but could be somehow simplified to be clearer for beginner users as well.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

File sharing, collaboration, syncing and overall management. Mostly accessing office files from different locations.
