MyChat is a self-hosted communication and collaboration platform for businesses. It runs on a company’s own Windows or Linux server, keeping messages, files, tasks, and discussions within infrastructure controlled by the organization. The platform combines private and group chats, voice and video calls, file sharing, screen sharing, company announcements, a forum, Kanban boards, and a website support widget. Employees can edit and forward messages, use reactions and quotes, send voice messages, share screenshots, and transfer individual files or entire folders. Full-text search helps find information in private dialogs and conferences. The built-in forum and wiki keep instructions, documents, decisions, and long-term discussions organized. Kanban boards support tasks, deadlines, tags, comments, attachments, and a Gantt timeline. Important announcements include read tracking, so authorized users can see who has opened them. MyChat is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and web browsers. Administrators can manage users and permissions, synchronize accounts with Active Directory or LDAP, configure backups, and review usage statistics. The REST API, bots, and server scripts support integration with other business systems. MyChat is commercial software licensed by server capacity. I am buying a new license. This purchase one-time, every-month, annual?

After purchasing a license, you gain the right to use a commercial version of MyChat for 1 year. You can also receive updates and technical support during this whole period. After 1 year, you have to buy a subscription to updates for up to 1 to 5 years (at a reduced price, usually half the cost of the license), or switch to a free version of MyChat — 20 online users and other limitations.

A server with an expired license turns into "read only" mode, you will be able to read the history, but you will not be able to send new messages. Renewing an expired license costs twice as much.

Limitations of a free version

After MyChat Server installation, you will use a free version with small limitations. Limitations are described on the official forum.

All limitations are removed after purchasing a license.

How many users can be registered on the server?

Unlimited number. You buy the license only for the number of users' devices and applications that will be online simultaneously. Thus, you can save money on purchasing the license if your server, for example, has users from different time zones and you know for sure that they won't be connected to the server at the same time.
