What is AWS X-Ray and how does it work? AWS X-Ray is a platform that helps developers to analyze and debug production and distributed applications, including those that are built using a microservice architecture. The software enables its users to understand how their application and its underlying services are performing to identify and troubleshoot the root cause of performance issues and errors. AWS X-Ray can create a map of services used by the application of the user by tracking the requests. AWS X-Ray is capable of automatically highlighting the errors or bugs that might occur in the application code of the user by monitoring the response codes for every request made to the software. The software provides users with a set of query APIs which can be used by the user to build their own analysis and visualizations app that uses the data recorded by X-ray. Users can get started with the X-Ray by including the X-Ray language SDK in their application and then install the software agent. The software offers its users a set of APIs, helping them to ingest request data, configuring the service and querying traces.
