Start-ups don't have the luxury of large, dedicated teams to manage logistics. We needed an end-to-end sollution that could streamline communication and workflows - effectively outsourcing freight management - so we could focus resources on business growth and optimization. Flexport did just that.
What do you like best?
When shipping to and from multiple locations around the world, communication is critical. Flexport's portal ties and consolidates quotations, approvals, documents, tracking, invoicing, and single-contact communication within a specific shipment ID - incredibly simple and clear. Flexport's level of responsiveness and willingness to help during exploratory, trial and on-going business phases has been consistently excellent.
What do you dislike?
There isn't much really. Shipping into new countries needs to be planned well in advance to allow for setup (as expected). For the most part it's pretty straightforward and other times a little slower likely due to these being new markets for Flexport. As Flexport grows that will continually improve with experience.
Recommendations to others considering the provider:
Flexport was competitive - but savings are even more impactful when you weigh the value of the strain they remove from your resources involved with your freight movements.

Communication and tracking was difficult to manage before Flexport. Understanding where our global shipments are at a glance was not easy. Resources were being stretched to bridge communication gaps, decipher invoices, and understanding what shipment an email was referring to wasn't always easy. Flexport solved these problems, allowing us to move focus back where it was needed more.
