The training is clear and engaging. Curricula knows how to spin a yarn that is fun, funny, and teaches concepts in a way you won't easily forget. They've put a lot of thought into their product.
I honestly don't have a downside. I think Curricula is one of the best training platforms available and I would heartily recommend it. I recommend it to all my customers for their security training needs.
Annual security training as well as simulated phishing attempts. We all high-five each other when we manage to spot DeeDee's attempts.
I loved that the content was designed in a deeply thoughtful and engaging way. Sometimes eLearning can be a bit... well... lame, honestly. These presented materials in a way that were fun and easy to understand, presented challenges that were thoughtful, and even gave me options to watch and listen, watch and read, and so on... which was very much appreciated.
This was my first experience with Curricula, and honestly there is nothing I can say I disliked!
Being a security company ourselves, there is a dual need to know this material for our own cyber security posture and also for those we serve. After completing the training and know my peers are too it gives me great confidence.
The Curricula training is so much fun. Likely, genuinely enjoyable. Our team still talks about it and the main characters. It's almost like a cartoon they watch regularly. But, most importantly, they remember the lessons.
Loved it all! I mean....DeeDee may be a bit savage....but, I guess she's supposed to be. :)
We needed security training to meet compliance requirements.
Where to begin... the team is great; super helpful. The product is super easy to use. Their training modules are fun and playful. It's been a breeze getting our team to utilize the platform (which is no small feat when it comes to security training!). Couldn't recommend more.
Nothing negative to report. They integrate pretty well with Vanta, our SOC2 platform, which is crazy helpful.
Security training. Seamless, easy to complete, highly educational sessions that my team will actually do.
It's easy to use, and engaging for all of our employees!!
Nothing, we really enjoy the product alot!
We are trying to engage our employees with very specific security training. The videos are easy to digest, fun to watch and SUPER engaging
Most places I've worked have had incredibly dull and redundant security training... Curricula smashes that mold to pieces! With adorable animations and engaging dialogue, curricula explains work security topics in an engaging and helpful way. The modules are just the right length and convey tons of information effectively. 10/10 and hopefully everywhere I work uses Curricula.
Nothing really. The only thing I can think of is that I get a weekly email reminding me to complete training that is optional... although I'm pretty sure this is a setting for my organization and not Curricula itself.
A lot of the time people don't take security training very seriously and just click through boring presentations. Having engaging and entertaining training means people take it seriously and retain the information better.
Entertaining content, convenient UX, the team loves it. When it comes to video training... What more could you ask for? It's quick and efficient & makes us feel better able to serve our clients' mission.
N/A - can't think of anything at this time
Our growing team needs to maintain IT compliance across depts. Curricula's flexible platform has allowed us to make sure our internal knowledgebank is up to date. The videos are fun and informative. All this, without causing a drag to our team's productivity.
I have been using MyCurrila for some months now. What I have found to work well is scheduling when the modules are released. Once I set up the training and new users join the company, they are immediately added to the training module. From there, they can take the training that I have set as immediately open. MyCurricula has training that is very pertinent to many businesses. Security is a big deal now in anyone's company, and MyCurricula makes sure to touch on all the necessary topics to keep the company knowledgeable.
I can't say that there is nothing that I dislike about the platform. From what I have seen in the short amount of time using it. There are new modules added every so often. This allows for new content to be added to the different training being administered. If I had to give something to improve on maybe I would say to have different types of content available for each subject. That would allow for fresh content to be added for each new training.
The problem we are solving with MyCurricula is keeping the team up to speed on relevant topics. SOC 2 is huge for our business. The release of the new SOC 2 module allowed everyone to be on the same page as far as knowing what needs to be done to remain and become SOC 2 compliant.
Curricula has turned the security awareness training market on its head. Their approach is making training fun for end-users of all ages and building a security culture outside of training. It might seem too simple on paper, but their mascot, DeeDee, helps remind users that "somebody is always trying to hack you. Curricula's implementation of compliance training, such as SOC2, NERC CIP, etc., helps users quickly understand some of the more complex aspects of boring ol' compliance training. Curricula hand makes their episodes, focusing on hitting the big topics without going over anyone's heads. Questions during training modules might not even pertain to what the episode is about; instead, it might ask what a particular character was doing while the plot was developing. The idea is to engage the user without pressuring them to understand every aspect of the lesson. I never thought I would be able to change the security awareness culture of my organization. When we switched from KnowBe4 to Curricula, the culture changed almost overnight. Implementing a security awareness program alone won't do much; you'll also need a team of advocates within your organization to spread the message and get other users engaged - and Curricula's staff helped us deploy our program. Their team is the easiest group of people I've ever had the pleasure of working with.
There was only one thing I could nitpick about Curricula, but it's not their fault. Organizations that haven't fully transitioned to a complete or hybrid cloud model might struggle with syncing users with Curricula. Curricula offers three ways to sync users into their platform:
1. Using the API intergration through Microsoft, okta, google, or onelogin
2. Direct LDAP sync, which is a cause for concern for some organizations
3. Manually upload CSV's that you pull from your AD.
The point is, for organizations that are still on-prem only, the only thing Curricula is missing is a sync application that runs locally. However, manually uploading CSV files with users is easy enough if you know a little about PowerShell. For about 600 employees, it took me about 3 minutes to manually enroll users into Curricula each month. Just make sure your offboarding processes include offboarding users in Curricula if your organization is on-prem only.
If you are thinking about switching from KnowBe4 to Curricula, reach out to the Curriculaloos. They worked with my team to convince the leadership in my organization to make the jump before Curricula was available for free.
Tradition Security Awareness Training sucked. More often than not, it was a hassle getting users to not only take the training but also get something meaningful out of it. Curricula solved that problem. Their approach is simple enough for any organization to migrate. Not to mention, Curricula is making a push to free training, including compliance training, for any organization up to 1000 users. That right there should be incentive enough to make the switch.

What I like most about Curricula is its interface itself. It brings the Computer Based Training to the next level. The best part of it is very interactive and removes the boring part of any kind of training. It's easy to remember because of the cartoons. Additionally, we have an option to integrate Curricula in to our Slack so we'll get notified anytime we have to take a training.
There is nothing I don't like about Curricula. Everything looks great!
For our company, Curricula resolves the problem that we have for taking the Security Awareness Training seamlessly. Our team doesn't have to spend so much time to create the module because Curricula is doing for us.
