Sincere recommendation from LMS Administrator

What are the best aspects of this product?

When you're working for a big enterprise as the manager for training and internal collaboration, you appreciate having an assistant like Cornerstone On Demand. For me, it was even more than I expected, but I believe that the extrairdinary configuration that blew my mind did the same to other users and customers. Between administrators, we share that it is a robust, responsive, and intuitive system. The reproting function, for instance, is the best I've seen in my work, even if I am in these field for so many years.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Data importing happens to be tricky, especially for large and old files you're trying to load in historical records. Not all formats are supported either. I also had an issue or two with data validation, but I'm still relying hardly on Cornerstone to perform data loads (other systems are either too expensive or too limited for the purpose). Finally, I'd like to be able to uncheck a checklist once I've submitted it.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I've worked with Cornerstone for a long time, but the product is kind of new for the enterprise. We are still busy transfering few manufacturing certification processes from paper to electronic format, and that's exactly where Cornerstone comes on the scene. Due to its extremelly helpful Certification module, we are finally able to do this without being afraid that it will distract us from more important tasks and activities.

Proud to have convinced my VP to use Cornerstone

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

If you faced support issues sometime in the past, you will join our happiness parade that Cornerstone actually exists! We turned to Customer Support before and after we implemented it, service was awesome both times. They appointed a Success Manager for us, and the guy knew what he was doing. He stayed connected afterwards, I remember, he was trying to make the program more business-specific for us. I think we'd been good even without it, we had access to materials and learning modules, and everything we needed was there. Once again-it doesn't change too much, becase you can always call them and ask. As simple as that! We use it for learning most of the time, and waht is really impressive is how it performs reporting and creating courses. Proxy and dynamic registration is also great, same for approving workflows. However, forgive too much details, remember just that everything about Cornerstone is...amazing!

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

We create the ITLs easily, because there is a copy function, but we can't print the rosters, and that's a bit annoying. We need to print rosters for every session, thas's a lot of work, and we really need to be able to do it.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Enhancing learning management was our original purpose, and I think we got that. Employees are more engaged than ever, they like how trainings are automatically approved even for exempt participants. Another problem that we solved is self-registration, there is a great feature that makes it possible. More and more employees are being trained per day, we know that because we have accurate reports scheduling efficiency, participation, and run times. In general, we are becoming more productive, and I like that a lot.

Robust, reliable, customizable system with huge support community

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

This is organized and flexible solution. A friend of mine has recommended me this product and I contacted them and they were quick to respond. I like that the product has great support team starting form sales to implementation to on-going customer service. As far as I can tell, I have great experience with its customer support service.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It has steep learning curve for how to use this system and I have found it little bit complicated and difficult to figure things out by myself.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We managed to replace our old learning management system that couldn’t keep up with these modern times. Cornerstone is robust, flexible and reliable solution that is able to handle eLearning better and on new level. Also, there are great way to manage email and to pull reports.

I am happy to manage a system like Cornerstone

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Cornerstone OnDemand serves for managing different aspects of human performance, including on-boarding, compensation, training, succession, interaction, and performance reviews. Even if this robust, the system can be managed by one admin console only, and it provides for granular control over access to information. I am positively surprised by the cross-feature functionality of the software, mostly because of the cohesive interconnection between different areas of the product.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The system is not perfect-perfect, and I personally think there are two areas that need serious improvement: The first one is video support, which is less advanced than the ones of competitors. It would be better to incorporate video materials with Cornerstone, than purchasing a separate product for the purpose, The second one is design and apperance, even if this is not so important, and I'm already seeing some changes happening.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I work for a global company with a large number of international employees, meaning that we do sales and provide support in many different areas. The main problem would be delivering training to those employees, and being able to provide instructor lead training which is the official training our company is offering now.

Cornerstone On Demand is very flexible, and has responsive customer support

What are the best aspects of this product?

The reason why I recommend Cornerstone to every business is that I've seen it perform flawlessly for all sorts of learning management needs. It can definitely go beyond expectations, because it is open for customization in almost every aspect. The customer support is also worth of respect: you get live Success sessions, online communities, a success manager appointed for your company, a geographical group and attendance to an Annual Conference of users. We really need all of this due to the accelerated changes in ou industry. Cornerstone has showed deep appreciation for our needs, and that's exactly why I like working with them so much.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

If you want to make the most of its features, you'll have to learn a lot. The curve is complex and time consuming, even if I honestly think it is worth. There must be an admin, or at least somebody that knows the basic features, otherwise you'll stay far behind their innovation tempo. This is a dynamic program, and you have to follow every step of its development in order to benefit from it.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Many of them. I remember having an archaic database of trainees and their records, stuffed drawers, and an incredibly incapable Led Instructor. Now that we work with Cornerstone, the bandwidth has expanded: we offer all sorts of training modes and we attach diferent formats of training materials. On the administrative side, Cornerstone did a very good job with organization and delivery solutions for specific audiences. I have to highlight that it is very simple to use when you know it, and it keeps communication at admirable level.

Cornerstone is the master of LMSs

What are the best aspects of this product?

I just adore how they never stop looking for improvement and advantages in all aspects, especially my favorite Talent Manager. The best part is that they do this based on their customers' opinions (I had mine considered too!). One thing is for sure-they know that the best way to improve productivity is to work side by side with customers, and to discover what they need. In order to achieve this, they even enable customers to share ideas and to communicate, they've developed special forums and modules for the purpose. You can attend their Annual Conference, or appoint a separate meeting with their Client Success Centre. With this being said, I'm sharing my most honest opinion that Cornerstone will be the masters of LMS for many years ahead, and they have my full support to do it!

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It may take you a couple of attempts to release a function and to decide how will get to see it. Still, I can't complain, because we had Global Product Services before and I know what it means to be unable to resolve tickets. CSOD is trying hard to improve service in this aspect, and we are convinced it will. After all, we never had a failure or a serious issue to contact them about, they do everything perfectly.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We have stakeholders all around the world, and we are trying to expand our reach even more in the years that are coming. As the global tool that it is, CSOD allows us to work in all countries and languages, and it provides for multiple quality relationships that keeps sectors united and stakeholders involved. That is the biggest problem CSOD solved for us.

Implementing Cornerstone

PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

COD is more than I expected, honestly. They seem to know what corporations need, and they come to you with an all-inclusive package where no imagination is required. I knew more or less, people had recommended it to me, but I was still jar-dropped with the offer. Up to date, I've seen nothing but speed and responsiveness, even if I am just starting to implement it for my project. I had questions (more than concernes), but they were all addressed timely.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I don't like that it takes time to learn it, not even the way how learning is done. Maybe it is because they sent me this sandbox for experiments, and was not brave enough to do them.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Our old learning management software was not just old, but completely outdated. We wanted a modern and a robust product to take over our projects, at least to improve the damaged perception our team had about eLearning. I mean, obviously-If you tell someone that something is good for him, and then the something doesn't work, how is your team supposed to trust you? This product is very consistent and it saved us a lot of time.

What are the best aspects of this product?

What I like most about Cornerstone is the fact that they constantly work on creating better experience for their users. They are always open to their customers’ opinion and feedback and they work hard to meet our needs. Its modules are friendly and highly intuitive one, and it helps us to collaborate with each other, to share ideas and to try other modules.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

We have to wait for few releases in order to see the point of new released function and in the end to decide whether we are going to launch it or not.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Our team is spread across the world and this product help us to bring all our stakeholders up to present something to them that is not American based. This is global platform that it can be used by everyone and it makes sure that you are in touch with everything that is needed for your business.

We have great experience with Cornerstone

What are the best aspects of this product?

I’m using Cornerstone for 3 years by now and I can clearly say that I’m highly impressed and satisfied from this product and its functionality. I like that it offers lot of modules and integrations for your data. In these 3 years they have improved the interface and they have made it more intuitive and user friendly. Our users don’t have any troubles in learning how to use it because it has some Facebook-ish looking.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I have said that this tool works great with all its modules and functionality, but there are some issues when it comes to pulling data, for e.g. it happendwhens tudent completed the class but within the report there was that the class wans’t completed. So, you have to double check your data.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It helps us to reduce time for managing classes, registration, reporting, assigning and tracking completion. We can easily evaluate training and make decisions from this report. This is great tool for connecting classes and learning opportunities for development.

This is robust and reliable solution with wonderful support service and community

What are the best aspects of this product?

Cornerstone is great tool that satisfies great array of learning management needs. It is customizable and you can make it simplified or expanded according to your audience’s needs. Also, its customer support service is one of the best, starting from online community, weekly success live sessions, our success manager, geographical user-group including annual conference to global tech support center. I haven’t found this kind of support in other products. You can be sure that all your needs will be satisfied.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There is a learning curve because it would be helpful if you get an insight into product’s features and how to use them. They could include admin to guide us when we run into some complexity and when we receive updates and some improvements.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We used to run old database in order to enter training records. In the past few years, we managed to expan our bandwidth as a department, to perform multiple training modes including video, online classes and job aids. It helps us to organize all our training programs at the same time and report at multiple levels of organization so we can deliver best learning solution to our customers.
