Cobrief FAQs

How do I get started?

It only takes a few minutes to get started with Cobrief. Here's how:

  • Register the company: Enter your company's name, and we will automatically retrieve the information we need from the Brønnøysund Register Centre.

  • Choose service areas: Tell us what your company delivers by choosing from a list of service areas. This helps us find the most relevant bids for you right away.

  • Receive bids: That's it! We will immediately start showing you competitions that match your profile.

When you are ready, the next step is to start using the tool.

How does the 7-day trial period work?

The trial period is 100% free and non-binding, giving you an opportunity to see exactly how Cobrief works for you.

  • What do I get access to? You get full access to the entire system for 7 days, completely without limitations.

  • What happens when the period is over? When the 7 days have passed, your account is automatically converted to our free version if you do not choose a paid plan.

  • What happens to my account with you? We automatically set up a free tender alert for you. You will thus still receive relevant alerts at no cost! All your work is safely stored with us, and you can log in to reactivate full access again when it suits you.

  • Do I have to cancel or enter payment information? No. You do not need to enter payment information to start. You will not be invoiced for anything unless you actively choose to become a customer with a paid subscription.

Do I have to pay to see or submit bids?

No, it is completely free for you as a supplier. Everything related to the bidding process must be free. This applies, for example, to:

  • Viewing and downloading the tender documents

  • Submitting your bid

  • Registering interest in a competition

What does Cobrief cost?

We offer different subscriptions tailored to the needs of both small and large businesses. The price depends on the size of your team and which features you need.

You can find a complete overview of our prices and packages on our pricing page.

Are you wondering which package is the best fit for you? Feel free to get in touch, and we will help you find the right solution.

Where does Cobrief get the announcements from?

We retrieve all public tenders directly from the official databases.

For Norwegian tenders, this is Doffin, the national database for public procurement. In addition, we retrieve tenders from TED, which is the EU's database, and other corresponding national databases.

How do I register for competitions, ask questions, and submit bids?

To register interest, ask questions, and submit bids, you must use a tendering tool. This is necessary because we do not always have the technical access to integrate directly with these systems. However, we simplify the process for you: In Cobrief, you will always find a direct link that takes you to the correct tendering tool, so you can participate easily.

Does Cobrief have integrations?

Yes, we have several integrations that simplify your daily bidding process.

For easier login (SSO):

  • Google & Microsoft: Log in securely and easily with your company's existing Google or Microsoft account. You avoid having to remember another password.

For notifications where you work:

  • Slack & Teams: Get notifications about new, relevant bids directly in your preferred channel in Slack or Teams.

For efficient bid work:

  • CV Partner Flowcase: Retrieve CVs from your CV Partner database to quickly find the best resources for the bid.

Do you have a request? We are always looking for new, smart integrations. Please let us know if there is a system you wish we were integrated with!

Is Cobrief for small or large companies?

Cobrief is developed for companies of all sizes. We have focused on solving the unique challenges both small and large businesses face in bid work.

  • For small and medium-sized businesses: We lower the threshold for participating in public tenders. Cobrief makes it easier to find the right competitions and gives you the tools needed to compete.

  • For large companies and experienced teams: We are a powerful work tool that automates time-consuming and manual processes. Your team can thus free up time and focus on creating a winning bid.

Is there a maximum limit on the number of competitions I get notified about in one email?

Yes, we have a limit of max 30 competitions per notification email.
This limit is set to avoid display issues and ensure the email is displayed correctly on all devices.

What happens if there are more than 30 competitions?

Only the first 30 competitions are shown in the email. To see all of them, you must go into the app.

Tip: If you often reach the limit, you can adjust your notification settings and set "When the competition is published" to be notified along the way. Then you will receive more emails with fewer competitions in each, and you ensure you see everything in your inbox!

How is the number of bids in the subscription counted?

In Cobrief, your subscription includes a certain number of bids you can create within a year. A bid counts towards your included bids in the following cases:

  1. It is less than 12 months since the bid was created.

  2. The bid was created while the tender was still active (before the submission deadline).

You can create bids from several places, including the inbox and the assessment page. Additionally, a bid is created when you upload a "Previous response". This means that bids you upload under "Previous responses" also count towards the number of bids in the last 12 months if the tender was still active when it was uploaded.

On the other hand, this means that when you upload past responses where the submission deadline has passed, the bid will not count towards your included bids.

You can see an overview of all bids that have been created or uploaded in Cobrief from the "Bids" page, under both historical and active bids.
