"Still Learning the Nuisances"

What do you like best?

User friendly for those who haven't purchased programmatic (audio/video/display) before

What do you dislike?

Not transparent on actual media fees, doesn't partner well with DMPs

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Ability for DMP fees to be present but not pass through to Centro for pacing purposes

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Billing and pacing. When you are working with a DMP and trying to forecast, Centro doesn't allow for outside attributes to pace within the system

"Media Director"

What do you like best?

The interface is very user friendly. Customer service is impeccable. Kallie does an amazing job helping our team to optimize campaigns and strategize how to best reach target audiences.

What do you dislike?

Reporting takes longer than I'd like to turn around custom reports but I still like the fact that the reports can be pulled. It would be nice if reporting could link out.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were able to bring our programmatic media buying in-house. With this comes the ability to test and optimize to ensure best performance metrics for our clients and ad campaigns. We are able to change out creative and monitor campaigns in real time vs. in the past when we would send out to 3rd party vendors to manage campaigns.

"The programmatic advertising platform we've been waiting for!"

What do you like best?

We've been extremely happy with the smooth and educational on-boarding process with our path to self-service. Our customer success manager and Basis team have had great response times leaving no question unanswered.

What do you dislike?

There seems to be an issue with the Google Ads integration for one of our accounts but other than that there's been no complaints!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're solving a lot of client issues around top of the funnel brand awareness and audience building. Many of our clients have a very niche audience so the targeting capabilities inside of Basis really let us provide excellent results fueling their lower funnel tactics.

What do you like best?

The options for different audiences help me understand what's available.

What do you dislike?

Still adjusting to the user interface which will take a bit of time. I need to go through the platform a bit more to get used to the interface.

Take advantage of their great customer service when implementing the platform.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Creating a display ad plan for a client in 2020 will take some time. Waiting on approval of client budgets is part of the process.

"Easy to use platform with helpful team members"

What do you like best?

Team members are very responsive to questions from users and explain thoroughly.

What do you dislike?

User interface can be confusing but once you get the hang of the navigation it is fairly straightforward

The team is very knowledgable and can help with a variety of situations. The path to self serve has been very helpful in learning the platform.

"Great customer service and technical options, but could use help on user design "

What do you like best?

Great customer service and technical options within Basis. We switched from Google Smart Display to Basis since they offer more options to target out users.

What do you dislike?

The user experience design. It isn't the easiest to work around. Some words don't always mean what they should, for example: "live" doesnt necessarily mean "live".

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving the issue of not being able to retarget our audiences, and geofencing/framing our audiences.

"Good Results, Excellent Support, Solid Platform."

What do you like best?

Overall, the UI is clean and easy to use. The Basis DSP support team is fantastic. They provide valuable training resources, including FREE onsite training certification courses. Setting up new campaigns is straightforward and highly customizable based on our needs.

What do you dislike?

The lack-of reporting integrations and built-in reporting tool is frustrating and slow. It can take hours waiting for a single report to be ready to download, and we require multiple reports to pull the metrics we want. Then we have to manually combine numerous spreadsheets into one, and finally integrate with our third-party reporting platform. Reporting is by far the biggest issue I have with the platform.

We've expanded our services by having the tools to run sophisticated targeting tactics across high-quality networks and placements. Using Basis, we can utilize highly-targeted audience data to expand reach for our clients.

"Centro Basis Review"

What do you like best?

Basis has good customer service reps and expanded targeting options for our client.

What do you dislike?

Platform is un-easy to use and confusing at first

We began using Centro Basis because of their hyper-local targeting. We needed more precise location targeting that we were not getting at our previous display provider.

"A lot of potential with Basis"

What do you like best?

There are a lot of targeting options and the platform is straightforward. Also, I appreciate how the Centro employees are hands-on with their clients. I enjoy that you can archive your old campaigns to keep your account organized and easy to follow.

What do you dislike?

There are not a lot of options within certain types of advertising, for example, OTT but I realize that they are working on that. I have noticed without blacklist or brand protection, there are a lot of inappropriate sites/apps that your ads run on.

Go to Centro conferences/webinars to see if Basis is for you.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Some problems that I face are when uploading ads and loading up campaigns, it can sometimes be extremely slow. Benefits are all of the domains that you are able to run ads on.

"Great overall platform, and strong service support"

What do you like best?

As a digital consultancy with national clients, and a strong client service focus ourselves, we have found the plaform itself easy for programmatic traders to use. Selection of 3rd party data providers and the ability to group data and locations into "sets" makes cloning campaigns very easy. Customer service managers are always friendly and our sales rep is cheerful and willing to help with any new business pitches we might be doing.

What do you dislike?

The team at Basis is always open and willing to work on ideas to solve the challenges we have with clients or with the platform. We have worked with them on evolving the reporting dashboard, and they have resolved many of the initial requests we had with reporting.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Like any other DSP, it requires a team to manage your business. Consider the resources you have available internally and either look to their managed service team, or ask for a preferred partner agency that can help ensure you have experts looking at your campaign.

We use Basis to help our clients utilize a data-based platform to drive customer traffic and conversions. Our ability to optimize in real time and see the impact of those changes almost instantly is a huge help in ensuring our clients get the best value from our programmatic team.
