As a candle seller,X-Design helps me a lot!
As a candle seller, I have to create a lot of product images for social media — and this tool has been a real time-saver.

I love how many background options there are! From cozy interiors to minimal setups, I can easily match the vibe of each campaign. It helps me showcase my products in different styles without having to arrange real shoots every time.

My favorite feature is the ablity to "light" the candle digitally. It looks natural and saves me from wasting real candles just for a photoshoot.

Honestly, considering how much time and money a real photoshoot costs, the price of this tool is more than fair. If you're a small business owner looking to create quality content quickly and affordably, this is a great tool to have.

Of course, like any tool, it’s not perfect enough. Sometimes I wish there were even more background styles to choose from, and the image loading can be a bit slow at times. But overall, it’s been a huge help for my business.

From a Promising Tool to a Greedy Product: My Experience with the AI Generator
This app initially seemed like the best alternative on the market – relatively affordable AI model generation, one generation per credit, and you’d get 4 images generated. Of course, it wasn’t perfect and the photos didn’t always look super realistic, but for an online store where you need to upload large quantities of clothing images, it was good enough.

Anyway, I reached out to them with a bunch of feedback about annoying bugs that really needed fixing. I actually got a very friendly reply – they offered to set up a video meeting to talk things through and even said they’d reward me with credits for helping out.

Unfortunately, the management of this company is a disaster. No one ever joined the meeting, and no one responded to my emails anymore – it’s been nearly a month with zero follow-up. Meanwhile, they raised prices in a completely unreasonable way. Before, 1 credit got you 4 images per product. Now, it costs 4 credits for just 2 images per product – which is totally unacceptable considering the current state of the product. The image generation often had flaws even with 4 images, let alone 2. And now they want us to pay even more for worse results?

The only place I eventually got a reply was on their website – and that too took 4 days. It’s obvious the company is cutting costs everywhere. Now you're only getting replies from an AI bot, which can’t help with issues like this. Anyway, the response I got was:

“As AI features become more powerful, some tools may now require more credits per use.
In particular, AI Model Generator and AI Background Generator have updated credit rules to reflect their upgraded capabilities:
AI Flatlay, AI Mannequin, and AI Shoe
Now consume 4 credits per use, generating 2 high-quality images per run.
We’ve made these changes to ensure credit usage remains fair and aligned with the complexity and quality improvements of each feature.
You can always check the latest credit usage on each feature page.

This response was laughable – just a sad attempt to cover up the fact that the company has become greedy and is trying to squeeze every penny out of its customers. They talk about how complex and powerful the generation is now, but I highly doubt a single image costs them more than $0.003 to generate.

As for the supposed "upgrades" to the product – not true at all. When I first started using it, the product was actually in better shape. At least the interface wasn’t so buggy back then. The bottom line is that this company has become completely greedy and only cares about maximizing profits. The fact that it’s actually a Chinese company hiding behind an American brand makes complete sense now. It’s also a sub-brand of vmake.ai, which has terrible reviews too.

In conclusion: it used to be usable, but now it’s overpriced and nowhere near as functional. Absolutely not recommended.

Warning
Warning: Do Not Subscribe to X-Design
This is my honest experience. I paid for a subscription and received absolutely nothing in return — no credits, no coins, and none of the features they promised.
When I contacted their support, they simply said “no refunds” without offering any solution.
This is exploitation. I’m sharing my experience publicly to warn others and demand accountability.
I’ll continue to raise awareness through all available platforms until I get a fair resolution.

Too many mistakes
About 60% of the time, there's enough inaccuracies to render the images not usable. No refunds for credits used on not usable images. No option to prompt the AI with what you actually want from it. Customer service is slow to respond and doesn't fix the issue, or offer a replacement for the credits used. I'd use it again if they offered unlimited images.
