Vectornator offers true vector design capability on the iOS platform. Everything is editable in a very reliable way that you would expect from a desktop vector program. The fact that it is free and available on iPad makes it even more impressive for what the program offers.
The program primarily works as you would expect a vector program on a desktop to work. There is a slight learning curve; since it is on iOS, it can take some time to learn the UI and commands. The workflow is, as you would expect, different from desktop, and that can be a factor in mastering the program. The artwork created on Vectornator, though, can be comparable to that created on Illustrator or Affinity Design.
Vectornator works great with the Apple Pencil and integrates well with lots of other design programs.
Vectornator offers an opportunity to create vector graphics on the iPad, and the designs quickly transfer to desktop programs such as Illustrator or Affinity Design. Vectornator is an excellent solution to be able to design on the road.
I think the biggest is that it's free - I can still accomplish quite a bit in terms of vector graphics and illustrations, I can work on both my iPad and my Mac, and it's just a nice, easy software to use with lots of fun tools.
It's only available on Mac and iOS. It's good for those who have the Apple stuff, but what about the rest. I think it's a big issue that hopefully will be solved someday
If you're looking for software that's easy to master, but still is very versatile, I wouldn't dismiss this one just because it's free. The Mac version is really nice, on par with some other vector design programs out there.
Occasionally, I borrow the iPad Pro from the guy who is responsible for creating logos/illustrations/graphics for my small company, and with Vectornator, I can quickly make the initials design and then perfect them on my Mac - that's what I enjoy doing for fun on my downtime. I like the mobility of this app - it's also quite fun to use, not overly complex, but still delivers
It is a very simple, bare bones program without all the extra options you’ll find in other vector programs. It makes it easier to learn the bare minimum without being confused by tons of options.
It is a slower program than I’d like, and for the work I do it isn’t as customizable as I prefer either.
Creating and finishing projects much faster than I might on PC since this is available on the iPad as well, so I was able to work on the go as well.
Its multi-use-case support for creating different designs which include Illustration, UI designing, Lettering etc. It provides so many different export options for free. It gives use the support to create design for different formats, Platforms, resolutions and Devices.
Sometimes it becomes very difficult to shade the objects with the touchpad on mac due to the sensitivity but over all its a wonderful tool to use.
I create my story boards, designs, UX designs, Flowcharts and arts for NFT using the Vectornator it is very easy to even sketch using vectornator on an Ipad with a pencil. Vectornator is my go-to tool for all kinds of graphic designs.
The best thing I like the most about Vectornator is the Figma Integration which helps the users to import the Figma designs into the Vectornator tool and its multiple integrations with other tools.
Although Vectornator is easy to use, there is one point that I dislike and that is the unavailability of tooltips for the quick action buttons which can hinder the starting journey of many to be designers.
You can start your graphics design journey with the Vectornator tool and this won't disappoint you as it keeps on pushing updates for improved user experience.
Vectornator is helping me in designing graphical designs for my offshore clients in an effective manner and has led to client satisfaction. It has a huge library of fonts and styles to choose from when working on your project.
Vectornator is the best free ios application for mobile for creating different vectors i.e posters, slides. It comprises great features like adding different shapes, images from online and offline. Support a large number of fonts to make the text look amazing.
There is nothing like disliking about this free ios app. on the mobile platform it provides great features. If they launch the desktop version, it will be of great use.
I use Vectornator to create posters and banners. It also helped me in designing my new logo. It has a large library of fonts and styles which are very useful in creating any design.
I like how easy it is to use on the iPad and how I'm able to create real and usable vector graphics while in a meeting or on the go. I'm able to get random ideas into realistic examples quickly.
Bit of a learning curve if you're used to using the Adobe products. It works and once you know where to go to find the right tools it's easy to use, but just a bit different.
Easy vector graphics creation and editing on the go.
I find it crazy how it's able to offer so many features for free that other programs/apps have you pay for, and how easy it is to learn for beginners.
It's also really easy to navigate and find the options and settings you're looking for.
I wish it built upon its current features and added more features (such as animations and AR drawing), even for a small payment.
Vectornator is the best app for beginners and people looking for free applications, and even for professionals!
Using Vectornator, I have been able to unlock a habit of drawing and create things (such as video thumbnails, graphics, and wallpapers) for clients, and thanks to that, being able to increase my earnings and create extra income from graphic design.
One can very well convert any pixel based drawing to vector based drawing on vectornator, and it is super easy to learn and work with, has a nice user interface too.
Should have a trace image option just like that in illustrator, so as to quickly detect graphics instead of start from scratch.
Helps me draw vectors which can be scaled and can be exported in different forms , even to illustrator, love that feature of the app
