Sumadi

Sumadi is an AI-enabled solution for institutions which supports configurations for multi-tenant LMS environments. It facilitates remote invigilation for online assessments of students. It uses biometric facial recognition technology to map the facial features of students and create a unique online profile. The value proposition of Sumadi is its facial authentication and elaborate verifications feature. Students are only allowed access to an evaluation after their facial profile has been recognized and authenticated. Also, throughout the evaluations, user images are captured using a webcam and continuous facial recognition is performed. Additionally, user profiles are also based on individual students’ typing patterns. This is used as a second authentication factor and throughout an assessment to monitor the activities. The SaaS solution even monitors the environment to detect the presence of smartphones, tablets or other unauthorized objects. There is a smart block feature that detects as well as prevents inappropriate actions like switching between screens, taking screenshots or copy/pasting the text. This prevents students from giving proxies or cheating during online examinations.
