No, Siteglide does not provide API.
* Ease of use of the Siteglide platform
* Powerful and easily customised product
* Simple and honest communication while being easily approachable
* Clear roadmap on what is achievable and what is coming
* Some features require more finesse but these are being added to regularly
Creating both basic and complex customised builds for clients has never been easier as Siteglide is both an easy product to use and a powerful product to alter to your needs.
The technologies of GraphQL & Liquid work excellently together, in a way that makes working on projects, just that little bit easier and quicker to get a website up and running that looks great with awesome functionality.
The UI is a bit clunky, and still missing some nice to have features, but new features are being added regularly.
Creating complex customised builds for clients has never been easier as Siteglide is both an easy product to use and a powerful product to alter to your needs, with the ability to get an API up and running in a matter of minutes.
The ability to create completely custom websites for my clients. Including custom web apps and modules that are connected to internal databases. The support that Siteglide provides is unmatched, they are always very responsive and take care of their clients to the best standards there are out there. New features are published on a regular basis with clear goals communicated through a road map and community forums for technical support and feature request.
I can imagine that for newcomers, the learning curve might be a little steep. But once a designer or front end developer get familiar with Siteglide, they will definitely love the flexibility of creating custom websites for their clients, easily managing multiple sites and staying on the edge of web technologies in their offerings.
The main problem I am solving is using a platform that allows for such flexibility when it comes to managing websites that require a bit more interactivity than a basic static website. Items in a web app database are easily managed, categorized and displayed in a responsive format. Siteglide allows for every portion of the site to be built out bespoke.
Siteglide allows my team and I to get our projects from a blank page to a live site in no time at all, with a seamless user experience all the way up.
One of the best things about Siteglide for us is the range of projects that we can have on the platform. Ranging from a small single pager to a full-blown application. Not only that, but it caters to all experience levels in my team. You can really get down in the details, or stay high level, and keep out of code as much as you can.
The technologies of GraphQL & Liquid work excellently together, in a way that makes working on projects, just that little bit easier.
The UI could feel a bit fresher and up to date, but I think that this may be addressed soon.
The documentation is a great place to look to get started on your first project, it helps us get our new team members up and running with minimal friction
One of our biggest problems has been making and managing APIs. With Siteglide, we are able to get an API up and running in a matter of minutes. This is something we have never found on any other platform.
On any other platform, it is a significant amount of work to get even a single API endpoint up and running. On Siteglide however, it is as simple as creating the page, adding your authentication, and finalising any logic you need the endpoint to handle. All in all, a great solution to a problem that would cost far more on other platforms.
The ability to build affordable websites for our small clients with full functionality but at a low scale. For example a small eCommerce site with limited products for sale. Unlike other website providers that have high entry costs when eCommerce functionality is required.
An upside for supporting our larger clients is that as they grow, Siteglide can easily scale up negating the need to migrate to a different solution.
And a big plus, Siteglide is fully managed on secure cloud servers globally. That means we do not have to manage our own cloud servers.
As the product is flexible and fully functioned, there are often numerous ways to develop a solution. While there is adequate documentation, am looking forward to more comprehensive examples, and online video training to learn and explore different options.
Clients able to manage their content easily with basically no html knowledge required. Benefits include ability to deliver streamlined online solutions with automatic workflows. eg online forms trigger automations for client.
Using a stable and reliable platform to develop my client site's on is key to my success. Looking at several other platforms on the market. The thing that stood out for me with Siteglide is It's built to be future-proof. Some might say going all-in on a single platform is a bad choice. But it's more efficient for me be an expert of one platform than it is to be a novice at several. The Siteglide team has done a fantastic job of taking the complex process of building custom, robust, enterprise-level websites and making it possible for web designers and developers alike to deploy site's much quicker. Add in the knowledge-base, community forum, and responsive agency support, and it doesn't get much better than that.
There's not much to dislike about Siteglide. But if I had to pick something, I would say the time difference. I'm in the states and they are across the pond from me. A six hour time difference doesn't seem like much. But if I'm working on a client site at 6pm and have an issue I need help with. I have to wait until I get up the next day to see their response. And if I don't get to that response right away, I have to wait until the following day to get additional feedback. It hasn't been a huge problem for me, but it would be nice to have a larger window of support throughout my workday.
Connect with the community! Getting to know other users of the platform and establishing those relationships is a huge benefit.
Siteglide gives me the ability to deploy custom, complex, enterprise-level website's quicker by providing the framework needed to build out the things most businesses need in a website today. Content pages, blogs, e-commerce solutions, my account section, forms, etc. Having a starting point to work from rather than developing these solutions from scratch is huge for someone like me. Factor in the reliability aspect and it's almost a no-brainer.
What we like the most about Siteglide is the ability to leverage a truly scalable infrastructure for big and small jobs. It gives us all the runway we need for when a client's business grows, or changes in the future. We love it's integration with Zapier, the ability to build membership sites with Secure Zones and eCommerce. With it we're able to build smart, database driven sites where we can efficiently import/export data when needed, and give the client an easy editing experience as well.
I don't think it's a downside of the platform, but to fully get the most out of Siteglide as an agency, it helps to have some talent on your team with at least a basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS and how to build databases in a smart way. Their documentation is thorough so it's easy to get your team up to speed, but this isn't a Wix or Squarespace type of website building experience (and that's why we like it for most of our clients).
Make sure you're working with a Siteglide Partner experienced with the platform, and really make use of their documentation and support team - they are very responsive.
We're building fully customized online courses, easily searchable databases for garden enthusiasts, eCommerce stores, non-profit websites, distance learning portals for schools. For many of these clients automating what were once fully manual processes (saving them hours each month in labor).
Security can be a problem with many CMS's but not with SiteGlide. It's highly secure structure hosted on AWS makes it difficult, if not impossible, to hack.
SiteGlide combines multiple databases and other features with a flexible structure making it possible to meet rigorous client requirements for complex websites. The CMS can easily be updated by clients and support teams.
The SiteGlide team is very responsive to inquiries and suggestions through their community forum and is regularly adding new features to the CMS.
At this time, SiteGlide is unknown, which requires a lot of education on the part of partners. As more websites are built on this CMS, it will be easier to pitch SiteGlide to clients.
Well worth checking out and testing a trail site. The CMS is perfect for complex websites requiring multiple databases but flexible enough to create an custom design or solution needed to meet client requirements.
We're able to move Adobe Business Catalyst websites straight to SiteGlide and retain the integrity of the website. The client is very pleased with the results and the easy of updating content.
Siteglide allows us to build fully functional CMS websites with clean HTML...allowing us to design, well just about anything. The powerful module bring down build time and cost whilst being completely flexible. Enterprise requirements, not a problem...Enterprise pricing?... no it's good for SME's
Hard to say, I guess they're young and not everything is fully formed...but whatever it is, the team are responsive and are progressing quickly...they've hit 90% of our additional needs so far and the last 10% are due to roll in the next 2 weeks ...and we know they'll deliver them :-)
We're solving technical business issues by allowing companies to be more interactive with their customers, solving communication issues and delivering a better level of service.
I most appreciate Siteglide's quest to make their product future-proof.
I would love it if Siteglide could bring their solutions to market even faster.
If you're looking to expand your web offerings in order to stay competitive, and don't have the time or expertise to build a secure platform or learn a complex new one, you may want to take a look at Siteglide.
The Siteglide interface is easy to use, there's lots of documentation, there's a forum to ask assistance from others, and you can chat with a real live person. You'll be learning best practices, and working on the latest platform(s). The pricing isn't bad either :)
Siteglide has been a solid replacement for Adobe's Business Catalyst. It will also exceed Adobe, and other leading platform's functionality in many areas, including security, cost, and flexibility.
