I appreciate what Proton is trying to do and overall I have enjoyed using their email service after switching from Google. I have been using for quite a while now and at first the search was quite simple which slowed me down sometimes... but recently this improved a lot! This shows me that Proton is working to improve and overall I am very satisfied with the service.

The Service is really good, no Ads even in the free Version - I've never recieved any suspicious Spam mail after being more then 8 years a customer there

Used the Proton bundle unlimited subscription for 3+ Years now !!

Flawless set up - Easy to use - Super Secure and keeping my data secure and private in Firefox browser and on the Mobile APP as well, I never had any problems or issues - All upgrades works perfectly and nothing to complain about :-)

Also Proton never stops developing all their products - Keep up the good work Proton Team.

Touch wood, I haven’t had any bad experiences with Proton Mail or any other Proton service, it’s all been genuinely very good. Maybe i’m lucky or as this is all based around privacy maybe only people with complaints post? i say that because my experience is completely at odds with other posters. I think it’s an excellent set of services at a fair price.

My experience is not negative. I use the mail service since setting up in business because I want my clients information to be secure (I don't want google to assimilate information about people using a heath-related service).

What really moves it into Five Star for me is discovering this week that I can use the Proton Calendar to seamlessly book Zoom meetings - so Google does not have access to my contacts. This is essential to me because client confidentiality is paramount.

First experience leaving reviews on Trustpilot because I really appreciate the service they offer and I think the overall feedback for Proton it well out of wack.

A company that built its brand on privacy and transparency has now become a symbol of silence and neglect.
2.1 stars is not just a number — it’s a reflection of every unanswered ticket, every ignored user, and every broken promise of “security with care.”

People trusted Proton because they believed in integrity. What they got instead were automated replies, slow support, and a wall of encryption — not for privacy, but to hide from accountability.

Just to clarify — I’m not a Free user. I’m a Proton Mail Plus subscriber, and my support ticket #4106963 has been open since October 28th, still with no resolution.

I appreciate the reminder about “response times,” but numbers mean nothing without action.

I didn’t ask for automation — I asked for accountability.

Encryption builds privacy. Communication builds trust.
Proton used to do both — but lately, only one of them seems to matter.

I used google workspace (business) for years before moving to Proton and have never looked back. Great service, great price, privacy and you get features you'll actually use without all the unnecessary bloat. I'm not a new customer, been using Proton for a while now and have never been disappointed. easy 5/5

Been using Proton Mail, VPN, Drive, Pass for ages. Works perfectly. My few support requests were answered rapidly. I'm mystified by the negative reviews here and wonder whether some kind of campaign is behind them all.

I been using ProtonMail for a while now, and honestly, it’s super chill. No ads, no tracking, nada. The privacy is on point, like Swiss-level secure, you know? Interface is clean, simple—no drama. I just wish it had a bit more free storage, but hey, for real privacy, it’s worth it. Si quieres algo seguro pa’ tus emails, this is the one.

I tried the free version and before I upgraded I sent an email with a list questions. I received a detailed response from a HUMAN (Joanne). I then decided to upgrade because I choose to do business with organizations that decide that clients are worth HUMAN INTELLIGENCE support and not BOT HELL. I highly recommend ProtonMail to anyone who finds both security and service important.
