We have been using Progress MOVEit Automation and Moveit Transfer since 2013 as our primary solution for secure and automated file transfer processes across the organization and partners. Over more than a decade of continuous use, the platform has proven to be highly reliable, robust, and well-suited for enterprise-level operations.

The user interface could benefit from modernization and improved usability in some areas.

As our needs have grown, the solution has adapted well without compromising performance. Integration with other systems has also been straightforward, making it a flexible component of our IT ecosystem.

What I like most about Progress MOVEit is its reliability and strong security for managed file transfers. It offers a stable platform for automating SFTP and batch file workflows, which helps reduce manual effort and lowers operational risk. Built-in capabilities such as encryption, role-based access control, detailed logging, and audit trails make it well suited to enterprise environments with strict compliance requirements.

MOVEit Automation is particularly useful for retries, scheduling, and error handling, so transfers can run consistently without constant monitoring. I also appreciate that MOVEit centralizes partner connections and workflows in one place, which makes it easier to manage high-volume transfers while maintaining visibility and control. Overall, it’s a dependable MFT solution for secure, automated data exchange.

One downside of Progress MOVEit is the learning curve, especially for new users and during initial setup or upgrades. The administration and automation capabilities are strong, but the UI and configuration options can feel complicated at first and often require experienced administrators to manage them effectively.

I personally like the user-friendly environment that allows for automation, scheduling, and management of numerous file transfers without any manual intervention. Its reliability to automate the entire file transfer mechanism without much of a technical expertise adds to its benefits.

As of now, I think it works great for me.

It has made big file transfer easy which was an issue earlier. Also, the user interface is user-friendly, which enables us to do the file transfer in a hassle-free manner.

With continued usage, what I’ve come to appreciate most about Progress MOVEit is its reliability—once workflows are set, things run smoothly without constant monitoring.

It’s also easy to trace and debug issues through clear logs, which saves time. Over time, its consistent performance with large and frequent transfers really stands out.

Overall, it feels like a dependable system that just works in the background without much effort.

Setup and onboarding can still be a bit tricky and not very intuitive without guidance. The UI also feels a bit outdated.

It is seamless and best app to transfer files.

It’s doing great and has improved a lot in terms of user experience. Honestly, there’s nothing bad that I dislike about it.

We can share the files without hesitation as these are encrypted and required user can access them with right controls.

Improve interface themes for customization for user

implementation was a bit confusing, and it took a while, and once it was implemented the learning curve for some workers was a bit slower than for others.

On the other hand, thanks to this program we have saved a lot of time with transfer tasks and automations, giving valuable time to employees for other tasks.

Still highly reliable for large secure file transfers with user friendly interact. Nice to see some more improvements
