What is Pointcarre Tuft software used for?

Pointcarre Tuft is a professional tufting and carpet design software used to create, simulate and produce wall-to-wall carpet, carpet tiles and rugs, from the first idea to the file sent to the tufting machine. It combines the most realistic 3D carpet simulation available with an intuitive interface where all the technical information sits on a single screen. Designers build patterns, set gauge, pile heights and needle configurations, generate colorways and export production-ready files, all in one software running on both Mac and PC.

Is Pointcarre Tuft a good alternative to APSO?

Yes. Pointcarre Tuft was developed specifically to replace the discontinued APSO software, and is the best modern alternative for carpet manufacturers who relied on it. Rather than copying the old APSO logic, Pointcarre rebuilt a tufting solution from the ground up, following the real designer workflow in close cooperation with leading manufacturers. The result is radically more intuitive and, above all, offers a genuine 3D simulation where the old software only showed flat previews.
