Matrix Requirements is an excellent off-the-shelf package for projects and managing documentation, requirements and planning within the ALM module. The off-the-shelf QMS package aligns with ISO 13485 and 820 allowing for flexibility in aligning the business to relevant requirements. The ease of use and administrative tasks are well managed and timely response to fix/assist with questions and issues is fantastic. Built-in Risk and CAPA modules are of good value and require minimal adjustment to suit business needs. The ability to link to Jira is a good function that allows agile work.

As a daily user, I find the package easy to navigate and work within. Experiences from the team are positive and all users work well within both packages. Implementation of the software is not automatically forced and any upgrades can be discussed both internally and with Matrix before the patch is applied.

Internal table functions could be better handled to allow for autofill and freezing of column and row headers. Reporting package for data analysis could be improved to allow for better analysis within Matrix.

Enabling the company to manage all its project documentation from requirements through to documentation, risk and verification within the ALM package. The eQMS allows for users to access the company SOPs and WIs with ease through Live QMS and eliminates the need for a paper QMS. The functionality of training on SOPs and Wis is easily managed and understandable. The daily notifications email from within Matrix to users is helping to ensure that documentation is completed and signed within a timely manner.

For our Technical File, we use MatrixRequirements, a comprehensive platform that integrates the management of requirements, tests, test runs, risks and associated documentation in the medical device field. MatrixRequirements has been designed with great flexibility in mind, offering the possibility of configuring every aspect according to the specific needs of each company. For uploading test campaign of more than two thousands test executions, one might encounter latency. But it is understandable.

Very user friendly, easy to manage and use.

Search engine could use improvement, small bugs here and there.

Matrix Server Administration (Backend) needs some improvement, folders for projects would be very helpful. Now it is very hard to track which projects are related. If Matrix backend allowed folder creation for projects, that would be very helpful in the project mangement.

Integration with other software tools and automation engines would be great.

Enabling to use 0s before ID numbers would be very helpful. For example, requirement IDs are displayed as REQ-435, it would be helpful if we could have REQ-0435. If this is not possible in Matrix itself, it would be great if exported documents could have this option. We are going through exported documents and adding 0s manually.

The ergonomic way to trace the different elements ( i am form the medical device industry).

Maybe the look of the document exported from matrixreq. Maybe modify it to make it "better looking"

Is it solving the problem, answering the requirements to have a traceability between the items

The advantaged that Matrix gives to an organiseation are priceless. To be able to use a tool to track inputs all the way from needs and requirements thorugh to validation is incredibly useful. The customisability of the tool is also endless, and we currenty have a great set up for what we need

Integration of new templates could be easier, as could uploading images for documents. The coding aspect could also be a bit mor euser friendly as it is quite overwhelming when trying to figure out the inputs

Our clients must have their needs and requirements, risks, specifications and validation tracked to have a full design file for certification. Matrix allows us to do this

Most helpful:

-The version control

-The interconnection of projects within matrix

-The easy signature process within the tool

-The quick support by the Matrix team

Needs attention:

-Lack of training materials with concrete examples of building products. Even though might seem not possible to provide a general example in the medical field, some concrete an hypothetical examples from A-Z where you exemplify your tools usage advantages is very useful. A full technical file of a hypothetical device that fuffills standard and regulatory requirements would be very attractive for new companies

-There are already many opensourceQMS documentation provides such as OPENREGULATORY that are vey useful for starups/small companies. Matrix can include these/similar approach within their tools, therefore boost the usage of the tool within these entities

-provide better information how to Connect with JIRA/Bitbucket, check the features of Xray testing tool.

-More webinars, free trainigs, comparisons to other platforms etc

Maintain the MDD devices documentation, run testing, deliver the tasks to respective teams.

Also risk management project is very useful but not well documented. It took me awhile to undestand its usage.

The best thing about Matrix is that it is kept simple without lacking features. Another very positive feature is the validation template that comes with it. This is an excellent basis for validating at least the essential functions. I am very enthusiastic about the traceability of individual requirements among each other. The support is also very positive. You receive feedback very quickly and are always ready to help.

I would find it quite good if you could still individualise the preset reports. Otherwise, Matrix is very well suited for creating and maintaining technical documentation for medical devices.

You save a lot of time when compiling the medical device file. Furthermore, the structure provides a good overview of the requirements and risks to be maintained for the risk management file.

The introduction of Matrix Requirement software in the QMS System made it easy to retrieve & trace documents during External remote audits. Ease to present all QMS through the software virtually.

The published view is streamlined, allowing anyone in the company to find the procedures and work instructions through the Live QMS viewer.

Sometimes the response time is delayed, creating an overlap of the screen/modules, leading to delays in the actual process. Also, sometimes Software gets stuck while working

A very reliable and representative software for External Audits.

Matrix makes it easy to manage all of the documentation. The number of features it has also complements its ease of implementation. Customer support has always been really quick to respond to queries as well

I think the UI could use a bit more work in terms of appearance. The tool looks old and dated which goes against the features it offers
