One of the best tools to get long tail keywords. We have been working on SEO for a long time. In the recent past we decided to put a core focus only on long tail keywords. We had a lot of options to try but finally shortlisted this tool. It was very handy and gave tons of keywords to incorporate in our SEO strategy.

They do not offer a free trail plan. This is really sad. It shows that they do not have confidence in their tool.

I like that it pulls keywords different from the other everyday tools that others aren't using or competing for. The data has plenty of relevant phrases that are three words or longer.

I don't like that you can't try the tool for free and that they charge $8 for eight days (which is quite sneaky because it is outside of the typical week - like 5-day trials are not very good for.

It's not a bad tool to use for this purpose; there are just many of them. Do your research and take the trial, but put it on your calendar to remember if you don't like it and want to use other tools.

I like that it focuses on keywords that aren't being used or competed for by other websites. The data contains a large number of three-word or longer sentences that have search volumes and can be used as keywords.

The charge for the trial period is a bit weird in my opinion. It should be $2-3 to weed out spammers and the duration shouldn't be 8 days.

Obtaining relevant and easier-to-rank long-tail keywords in Google Search. I was able to rank plenty keywords easily and it helps increase traffic by a considerable amount as we cover a lot of highly targeted search queries.

It's fast and easy to use, you can quickly create some core keywords and then expand the list, that's Longtail Pro's best use case, to quickly do some keyword research on the fly but not to use as your only keyword research tool it would not be a good choice for your only tool.

The UI is not so great, there are lots of things you can't do "well", the keyword filtering is not great, the grouping of data seems excessive - beyond that done by Google Adwordsthe "competitiveness scoring is kind of garbage don't rely on that but the drill down into results is more useful when you need to know "What do I need to do as a minimum to rank for this keyword"

we find that Longtailpro is useful to generate keywords fast but we usually do our "proper" keyword research inside the LocalAdworks SEO platform because the features are far better and we can use the keyword data easily since it's integrated into a complete SEO platform, the reporting is far better also which is especially important when writing content and considering LSI aspects of SEO content

If you can only afford one KW research tool this isn't the one to get, instead get a SEO platform that includes a decent tool, Longtail pro is a good secondary tool.

When you need some very quick keyword data

In the past, I spend a good amount of my time researching long tail keywords for my clients to help rank their website. Longtail pro cuts my research time down by 75% and generates way more keywords than I could find on my own. It takes minutes and I have alot to build off of with a lot less work.

Long tail pro can only provide exact matches for my searches. Since it doesn't use the google planner to get data that can be a challenge.
