"photo shelter makes photo sharing and storing more efficient in that it’s a perfect combo of the two"

What do you like best?

I love that I can organize and tag photos

What do you dislike?

I have not found any problems as of yet.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Please invest an account for your company needs.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am now able to tag my photos, store photos, ass administrators, and also have access to innovative strategies and tips for branding and marketing!

"Best DAM system out there! Get Photoshelter now!"

What do you like best?

Interface, cloud based, search functions are some of my favorite features. I also like how easy it is to share, give permissions, and so on. I think their customer service is incredible, the sale process was not pushy but helpful, always seemed to be trying to help not up-sell a product we did not need. I am a mega fan, I recommend Photoshelter to every colleague I have in Higher education and professional photographers. I enjoy using the app, to upload on the fly, the desktop uploaded is great for batch uploads. I think the app could be improved for mobile so from my phone I can change permissions and share galleries.

What do you dislike?

Pricing can be limiting but it is worth it in the end. The pricing can be tough to put out during tough times like 2020. I would like to see more of a higher education discount. I don't really have any major issues which speaks to how well you all have done with your company. I say market more and keep doing what you do.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Test it, reach out to current users, watch a demo and then sign up to start using one of the best digital asset systems in the world.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

we are using Photoshelter for sharing, organized archiving of thousands of images and video for our campus to quickly and accurately access, download and share. Photoshelter is a smooth interface that I can not say enough about. The benefits are that my workflow is more efficient and speedy. I am able to work on location, on campus and from home with ease. I am also able to give permission to users to also use Photoshelter to its ability.

"Really great Asset Management System"

What do you like best?

Collaboration with the team and sharing with outside individuals. It really helps our sales and marketing work more efficiently

What do you dislike?

The mobile app could be more robust and easier to post TIFF images from JPEGs to social media.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Their innovative software continues to grow and the price we pay hopefully will remain affordable.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The mobile app is ok, but I feel like more robust options and iPad support would be helpful.

"Great storage and sharing solution for higher education"

What do you like best?

I like that it is easy to catalog photos and share them internally and externally with vendors and press members. My favorite feature is the ability to add tags to photos. Adding tags makes it easier for different users to find appropriate photos for the web, social media, and others.

What do you dislike?

Not much to dislike about PhotoShelter. I wish we had internally a person dedicated to categorize and add tags to photos. I think that would be extremely valuable for our team.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have a centralized place for all of our photos. It is easy to build folders for external vendors, and give access to team members across the college. It is easier to share and actually use the photos we have. Personally, I use PhotoShelter to build specific folders that I can share with vendors for the purpose of creating advertising campaigns. Other team members use the tool to find photos to post on social media, to add appropriate photos to the website, and to gather photos for complex print pieces.

"Imagine An Art In A Image"

What do you like best?

It is a rich source of quality. The resources that exist on this platform are incomparable and irreplaceable. There is a totally flexible space for storing photos, an app with exorbitant speed, super advanced searches and markings and many other things.

What do you dislike?

I can't change the platform language to my language. I end up not being able to use all the resources due to the language.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

First read all the instructions and then immerse yourself in the wonders that exist on this platform.

Do all edits and detailed work safely in PhotoShelter.

Its pretty much aproved.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I always had problems with space and agility to save the work, but not anymore.

"Ongoing Quest for Excellence"

What do you like best?

Simplicity with a common look and feel across the platform. Ongoing commitment from Photoshelter to keep listening and developing. As a company they have the desire to keep innovating and supporting their clients so that we can provide professional service to our clients.

What do you dislike?

Would like the ability to set permissions at asset level rather than just gallery and workspace level. Allow templates for metadata to be saved. Allow comments in workspaces to be saved.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Collaborative working efficiency across multiple clients allowing for a secure, robust working environment that allows a degree of end user self service and our selves providing value added professional services via Photoshelter.

"Great cloud software"

What do you like best?

We love the cloud aspect of it, especially now during the pandemic.

What do you dislike?

Getting started was really difficult because we have a huge existing library. It was a painful FTP process.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be sure to plan enough time to get started. Getting all of our existing library switched over was a major ordeal. After we got that done, it's been great to use and easy to add photos and videos as we go.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Problems solved: Now we have software for everyone, including our Mac users where our previous software was PC based. We also love that it's cloud-based so we aren't tied to the office network.

Benefits: Easier to share with campus stakeholders
