Early of others, I can say that data collection by the Kobo toolbox is easy and fun. You don't have to be tech-savvy to design questionnaires on the tool be it open or closed-ended. Anyone with a very basic orientation on the tool can jump to use the tool without any difficulty and even, will automatically jettison paper-based data collection. The data collected is easily exported to different formats.

I like the easy way to develop the kobo form for data collection, the easiest way to use data collection in apps by both mobile and desktop versions; the way of downloading, and also the way of history checking option of downloading the collected data. The form updating, form downloading, a summary view of submitted/collected data is well organized and easy to use. The only problem I found with the Kobo toolbox is that there is no direct iOS software for data collected by the Kobo toolbox. The direct apps for the Kobo toolbox data collection apps are only developed for Android-based devices. But for IOS devices, there are some third-party apps by which kobo data collected can be used. Moreover, the free version of data collection apps has some limitations, such as not more than 500 variables can be entered by data collection apps. And the advertisements during using the data collection apps are annoying for using the free version of third-party apps on the IOS platform. I am currently using third-party apps GIC collect for the kobo toolbox data collection and am facing those problems mentioned above.

Therefore, I recommend using this platform for all programs, and research personal should consider this platform.

The traditional way of data collection was based on paper, which was several problems like damaging paper, missing input of code by data collectors, or editing code, which was a data authenticity problem that is totally solved by the Kobo platform. Moreover, data preservation and quality control are also easier now. I have to use the kobo toolbox for my everyday monitoring purpose and everyday data collection from the healthcare facilities, which means my day-by-day problem identification and solving procedure becomes much easier with this platform.
