PROS: Keeping company assets in excellent condition is one thing that a business owner should do to avoid downtime and long-term losses. This is where Infor EAM comes into the picture by ensuring that all assets are accounted for. It keeps track of how long its been running, the cost of purchase, the number of times it has been repaired, and the amount spent to keep it running. Not all companies keep tabs of these things, but its vital that they avoid more significant problems in the future. Using Infor EAM will help you decide whether you should replace or acquire a new asset and how much money your company will be saving in the long run.

CONS: We have to be more careful when processing work orders because there is no way to reopen it once tagged as “Finished.” That is why we advise the people in charge of creating and monitoring the work order status to go through each request thoroughly and see if something else needs to be done or if a document still needs to be scanned and added as an attachment. Doing this would take us more time to close off work orders, but it would reduce human-caused errors, causing delays or rejections on individual requests. Since we cannot change how the built-in ticketing system works, we have to figure out another way to solve our problem. Lastly, the system does not refresh on its own, so we have to track any incoming issues one by one.

PROS: This app is designed with great features that can help you oversee each asset's status within the company. What is nice about EAM is its flexibility and customization abilities to tailor your business's needs. The online dashboards give department heads a notice on the things that need to be serviced, repaired, or replaced. So they can plan on allocating their current funding to ensure that all of the immediate needs are being addressed.

CONS: The smartphone version of the platform needs t to be improved on so many levels. We could not perform certain functions using our cellphones, thus making us want to revert to our desktops.

PROS: I thought that I would have a hard time shifting into Infor EAM, but its the other way around. I learned how to use the system real fast because all the tabs are relatively easy to understand. It does not matter how big or small your business is, but EAM is designed to help you handle all your assets and make sure that they continue to generate revenue for the company.

CONS: I have no more complaints now that the program has upgraded to its latest version. I am currently using Ver11.3, and I can say that all activities have been running smoothly ever since. It’s now easier to track assets and equipment, routine scheduled maintenance, order for replacements, and replenish other assets in advance.

PROS: This app can share multiple user access to ensure that each department can take accountability for its assets. You can pre-select the features you need and what you only want to appear in your dashboard. When you open the app, you would immediately know how many pending work orders you have under your bucket plus the latest breakdown of PM schedules, inventory status, and other main metrics that concern your assets. The good thing with EAM is that it works well with other applications making it more comfortable to generate and customize reports, which I need for the monthly and quarterly budget meetings. I can say that working with a flexible and comprehensive asset management platform has its advantages.

CONS: The reporting features do not work the way I expect it to be. The numbers usually are not updated, and I have a hard time customizing it, so I do not want to use it anymore. My alternative is to export the entire report using Microsoft, and I’ll create my preferred format, which is more suitable for my liking.

PROS: Since our government has been trying to grow its resources, we started to look for a platform that can help us overlook all issues and realign our process to ensure that our day to day operations will go on as smoothly as possible. We decided to acquire Infor EAM to help us manage both minor and major asset-related issues by launching service tickets and designating them to various groups who can work on things the soonest time possible.

CONS: The software is relatively easy to install but difficult to understand. The transition was quite challenging, but we were able to get by through some training. Not advisable to use it on your phone because it consumes so much battery.

PROS: Using InforEAM is something new to our group, but I do not regret that we chose to incorporate it into our existing systems. We do own a lot of machines that are used to produce our goods. Hence, we cannot afford the equipment to break down at any point in time because we would have to delay our shipping schedule, which co-relates to loss of income. Using EAM will make sure that all equipment/assets are in top condition. Each of the assets is labeled accordingly within the system, making it easy to identify its relationships to other assets. So it would be easy to determine the status, value, and warranty of all assets under each department.

CONS: Although it gives us a reliable process of adequately caring for our equipment, the system itself can be challenging to use. This could be a disadvantage to people who are knot technically inclined, so more training and upskilling should be done at least.
