What do you like best?

Easy to connect ETL from sources to Google BigQuery data-warehouse.

What do you dislike?

Needs even more native connectors to be added

"Perfect for Agencies"

What do you like best?

I love that I can pull in data - especially spend - metrics across multiple paid media platforms and analytics platforms all into one dashboard.

Trending is the best tool

Comparing different time periods is also helpful.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the connections break, but that's not funnel's fault - it's mostly the APIs from the providers.

However, I would like for the data to refresh more often if that's possible. Bing data refresh is less frequent than Google.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Great tool for the price. Simple easy to understand data tables. Makes it easy to build and share reports with teams internally and with clients externally.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Seeing in "real-time" where we are MTD vs Previous periods on Spend, Revenue, etc. and where we are projected to end for the period (month, quarter, year).

We often create a central dashboard to review all our clients in one go and then build client-specific dashboards.

"Fantastic Funnel!"

What do you like best?

Funnel has allowed us to manage the needs of multiple clients across multiple social media platforms. The Funnel dashboards are key to our optimisation processes, as we can pull in data from ALL social sources as well as Analytics data, and compare in one place. We are yet to come across another platform that offers this, and it is very time efficient when managing campaigns.

What do you dislike?

The only downside to using Funnel on a large scale is that the dashboards are all in one place. We have hundreds of dashboards for multiple campaigns. It would be great if dashboards were in folders, so we could have different campaign objectives in different folders or files. This would make the user experience even better.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Not only do we have an amazing and very dedicated account manager, the online chat response is extremely responsive. They follow up on every question and query raised by myself and my team, and ensure any problems have been solved. We also wanted to add a custom data source for a social media platform that is only used in Germany, so was an unknown to Funnel. However, the team worked with us, and the platform directly to integrate the systems.

"Simple & powerful"

What do you like best?

- One place: Funnel allows us to gather all advertising metrics in one place - a huge time saver and great way to get a fast and clear overview.

- Set-up effort: Funnel has direct connections with very many platforms creating easy set up and allowing for quick presentation and visualization of advertising metrics

- Export: Funnel allows you to keep your data where it is most suitable for you, whether it is on the funnel platform, exporting to data warehouse, or exporting via API.

- User friendly: intuitive design and easy to use

- Support: Very fast and helpful support team

What do you dislike?

We have been using Funnel for a bit over one year and I have not had any issues that the support team has not been able to help me out with - so nothing to dislike!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using 25 different advertising platforms across 9 markets which entails alot of time spent on gathering data. With Funnel we now have the ability to spend that time on analyzing the data instead of gathering it. We are more in control than ever when it comes to our visibility and marketing spend.

up to this far we have used this software we have found nothing to dislike it because it`s more helpful and supportive in the field of marketing and advertising.

That I don't need to put in hours a really long time every month, breaking down the entirety of my traffic sources. Channel gives me all that I need initially.

"I recommend this - with a caveat"

What do you like best?

ok. Funnel.io is POWERFUL.

We use this for campaigns and cant imagine using anything else. This saved us multiple times, from a broken middle funnel. Most of our customers were not buying.. and couldnt figure out why?! SO with we gave funnel.io a shot.

note: the caveat. This will only be effective if you have a lot of data points to work from . you MUST have run experiements, or have team available who can read data.

end note. so with that beiing said. funnel heps bring all data points together to vew data, and customers in a visual journey. very cool!

What do you dislike?

the price.

it's quite pricey, and we use this for big campaigns, if i had more clients, im sure i would use it more. i wisht here was a cheaper solution with limited features. or fremium

the plethora of connectors

the bigquery connector that updates regularly every 6 hours

the simplicity of mapping/editing the schema and how it propagates to BigQuery

What do you dislike?

the documentation on what each metric/dimension means is not always 100% accurate

Recommendations to others considering the product

just be careful when managing multiple reports from the same source. That tends to convolute the warehouse schema . One way around it is to have one export with all data and then views on top of it that simply filter on funnel_source_id

multiple clients with multiple marketing platforms need their data to be collected and displayed to them. Funnel helps us download data from the widest range of marketing platforms with ease so we spend more time with clients discussing strategy
