What do you like best about Datarails?

We've been using Datarails primarily for budget consolidation and dashboard reporting, and it’s been a fantastic addition to our financial planning process. The ability to easily consolidate multiple budgets, track revisions, and manage different versions without the chaos of endless Excel files has been a huge time-saver.

Great reporting tool

What do you like best about Datarails?

The interface makes it easy to develop reports in excel and through the dashboard. Integrates seamlessly to various areas that hold our data. Adaptable, we can splice or overlap our data in many different and useful ways. Users can drill down data in real time making it easier for all around decision making.

I don't have anything bad to say about this product.

Great Platform with Effective and Simple UI

What do you like best about Datarails?

Datarails has proven to be an effective tool for our finance team, allowing us to consolidate data from multiple systems and automate analytics and reporting. The ability to work within excel meant that integrating Datarails was minimally disruptive while also adding new capabilities and controls. The integration team and the ongoing support we receive have both been excellent as well.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

The PowerPoint add-in leaves something to be desired.

What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?

The primary problem that Datarails helped solve was time-to-close and lack of automation in reporting. Datarail's workflows have been instrumental in cutting our close time by ~30%, and the ability to run reports automatically eliminated much of the need to perform manual analytics or monthly data manipulation.

A Game Changer for Finance Teams

What do you like best about Datarails?

What I like best about Datarails is how seamlessly it integrates with Excel while automating so many of the manual tasks finance teams usually struggle with. It saves time, reduces errors, and makes reporting much faster and more reliable. The integration with NetSuite is also a 10 out of 10 — smooth, efficient, and incredibly helpful for syncing data without hassle.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

What I dislike about Datarails is that it requires a fair amount of initial onboarding and support to fully understand the platform and customize it to your needs. While the support team is great, the learning curve at the beginning can be a bit steep.

What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?

Datarails is helping us solve the challenge of manual reporting by automating the process and significantly reducing the time spent on it. It integrates multiple platforms like Salesforce, NetSuite, and our bank data into one centralized place, making our financial reporting and analysis much more efficient and reliable.

A great FP&A tool for reporting - Great team to help Implementation

What do you like best about Datarails?

Datarails offers a great way to cleanly show concise data that can be drilled down into. I love the drill downs to the lowest level. Once you're set up it's really easy to use. I also love how easy it is to work with Excel. The data in datarails can also be extracted into excel means it is as diverse as you like. This takes some tweaking to get right but once it's there it's a dream to use.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

It's clearly still a new system, a few of the widgets need work and there are some nuances you come across every so often that shows how young it is in development. However, they have been quick to rectify a lot of these so credit to the team.

What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?

Datarails is able to take our data from various sources, be it a Sage Intacct Integration or a flat file and make it easily manipulatable. We have struggled with KPI reporting in the past so the fact we can get quick and easy KPIs ahead of the leaders of the business on working day 1 is fantastic.

DR has made it much easier and quicker for our company to draft its annual budget.

What do you like best about Datarails?

It interfaces very well with Microsoft Excel and NetSuite, making it much easier for the Finance Dept. to gather and analyze data. The learning curve was very short

Our budget comprises many budget worksheets & schedules, which DR consolidates. We find DR a little slow when refreshing and synchronizing all the sheets.

DR looks like it is going to be a good tool, but it needs a lot of development to make it faster and more reliable.

What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?

DataRails has become an essential tool to draft our annual budget. It has saved a lot of hours to our Finance staff as well as the department heads to draft the budget. It is easy to use and the training was also very short.. If you know Microsoft Excel, you already know DataRails.

Fantastic Product

What do you like best about Datarails?

Datarails has been a great addition to our tech stack. We had been in the market for a product for years that allow us to both present live reporting to our teams as well as FP&A functionality to improve our internal projections. Datarails handles both well.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

The learning curve has been a bit steeper than we expected, but we have found it to be effective once we are up to speed.

What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?

We struggled to give our non-finance users the ability to track their budgets and provide live feedback. We have had a positive experience with them, and our internal projects have become more precise.

They are few and far between but primarily still a startup, so expect some bugs. Fortunately, support team gets on it immediately once pinging them.

Datarails is an all-in-one reporting and budgeting package. It has been a godsend to utilize vs. consolidating all budgeting files in one Excel file that multiple users are using within Sharepoint.
